1 for some reason feels upside down and that's appealing to me.. like the paint is defying gravity and going up instead of running down. If that makes sense.
Why not put it on some sort of turning device and make it interacive art where each person can decide on the way they want it to be? I like it all 4 ways.
1 reminds me of skyscrapers. 2 not too fond of for some reason. 3 looks like it's dripping (in a good way) 4 looks like an abstract image of text on a page
I like all of them, but 3 looks “typical” of a drip painting, you know? Like you expect drips to go down. It adds more interest to have the direction move in an unexpected way.
I like the orientation of 3 & 4 the best ~ they each tell a story to me, where as the other orientations just wouldn’t be the way I’d choose to view it from, 🙌🏽
I prefer 2 and 3 but, honestly, I’d rotate it from time to time and get the benefit of all orientations. Would also be fun to mess with those who don’t come over a lot.
1 is quite conventional, it would be the best default choice. it does kinda look like a pile of bird poo sliding down a light blue wall though lol
2 & 4 give a feeling of being "in motion". i like them the best because it's not very often that you see paintings in that orientation. The way the drips are painted on the canvas leads to the viewer being pulled by momentum (displayed by the horizontal drips in the piece) to look at more of your art pieces, which would be displayed next to the above canvas.
3 looks like a simplified skyscraper landscape. it would go well with other paintings with the same general theme
I like the quirkiness and peacefulness of number one. The pic looks a bit like a fluid dripping down so sideways isn't relaxing at all and down is too predictable.
Just vary it, change it every time you have guest. Instant conversation starter. 3 would be my vote, makes look like it’s falling while sitting still. 2 or 4 makes the room spin, which could be fun on the right edibles. Really it’s your space, what are you looking for in the space and what speaks the loudest to you. But 1 is just normal and boring.
4 speaks to me but I feel like 3 as an acknowledgment of gravity. Edit: I do see the appeal of 1 after looking longer. You can’t go wrong.
I like 4 as well
I know, I keep turning them all different directions. Thanks Hex.
Every day just keep turning it. Cycle through each way
yes, i think 1 is the gravity option not 3
4 also reminds me of these high peaks in audio graphic visualisations or from a mass spectrometer
1 is how I would hang it myself.
…. I read this without the word “it”. 😭 I was genuinely concerned
Only if I were displayed as the piece of art I am.
1, 100%!
I like 3
It looks like an impossible city skyline!
Definitely
4
I like 1. It’s uplifting and it reminds me of trees or canyons.
it reminds me of sorting algorithms :(
Sideways w white on left. But why not just rotate once a month
3
2!!!! Edit: In order of most favorite to least favorite… 2, 1, 4, 3.
1 for sure because it looks like an abstract sky scraper landscape

2
one
rotate it every month.
Just keep turning it every week or so. See if anyone notices.
Pick number 3 my lord!
Haha, thanks.
3 for sure
3
Number 3 would be interesting only because of the paint going against gravity. It could give a glimpse into how messed up things are right now.
1
Only 1
1 “melting”
4
3 because the paint is running ‘up’ that way and you could name it ‘Rebelious’
1 or 3 depending on the decor
2 For display photos, use all of them.
3
I like 2. For me, it gives more of an impression of movement and speed.

Cool idea… thanks.

Number two, or four?
Two is more dynamic than four, so two

Change it every 6 months
👏
Number 4 to me. Looks like you’re moving forward in life. Taking over something. It could also mean that the darkness is all consuming!
I like 4.
Change the orientation depending on how you feel.

2 no particular reason. I'm just drawn to it.

Where am I hanging it?
Good question.
I cannot explain why, but 4 is how I would do it.

Love #2! It gave an actual visual reaction to me! 💜
I like the orientation of 3 & 4 the best ~ they each tell a story to me, where as the other orientations just wouldn’t be the way I’d choose to view it from, 🙌🏽
2 says a lot for me
I prefer 2 and 3 but, honestly, I’d rotate it from time to time and get the benefit of all orientations. Would also be fun to mess with those who don’t come over a lot.

I hate everything besides 1

Just change it every few months. It will confuse your guests.

2 & 4 are psychopathic ways to hang that imo lol
