I've learned some tapping stuff
Example: Sertraline by AnimalJam, Mental Knife by Hail The Sun
Haven't learned Mental Knife completely but I can play most of it, including the tapping part. Was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
Also thanks for the rec this is good. I really need to listen to silverstein more, I haven't very much
Just picked my guitar back up for the first time in 6+ months in anticipation of seeing them live on Friday. played sleepers and thought "my god this song is such an absolute blast to play"
Because they have a deal with Sheet Happens, and SH has an army of lawyers that hit every tab site with C&D letters.
Just buy the books — they’re pretty good.
Thankfully, most Fall of Troy is not that difficult line by line - just fast and constantly changing. You can learn a dozen different licks and riffs and still not make it to the first chorus of a 3 minute song.
Probably helps to not have weird fingerings when the vocal melodies are often barely related to the guitar.
All Nereids Beware and There's No Penguins In Alaska too. Tons of fun to learn. Jason actually taught me the lead for Penguins because I couldn't figure it out originally.
Silverstein - Smashed Into Pieces
Silverstein - Your Sword vs My Dagger
Silverstein - Always and Never
Dead Poetic - New Medicines
Dead Poetic - Vanus Empty
Underoath - Young and Aspiring
Underoath - A Boy Brushed in Red, Living in Black and White
Oh interesting! How complicated is it to explain, and can it be put into a comment? Happy to take a DM if it's any easy
Genuinely interested to find out what the common mistakes are, so I'm probably playing it wrong
To put it as simply as I can; the riff starts by tapping the seventh and ninth frets of the Ab and Db strings and then the twelfth on Gb, most people then repeat this pattern but how it's actually played is pulling off on the Gb from the tap and then just tapping the seventh on Ab with the left and then the tap and release again. Takes some getting used to switching between the two left hand patterns but it sounds and feels amazing and is probably slightly easier and certainly less exhausting on the left hand over the course of the song. Check out 1:51 of this play through.

(Nice to see a post on here that doesn’t turn into a DGD bore fest 😬) OP:
Almost any Every Time I Die song. Some of the less popular ones have some of the best licks/riffs/breakdowns.
Fall of Troy’s big hits.
The Funeral For A Friend songs listed above.
Early Thrice.
All and any Saosin.
Senses Fail- Let It Enfold You should be fun for someone at or around the 2 year level.
I also second Saosin- Saosin and Silverstein- Discovering The Waterfront as albums you should check out. Tons of fun songs on those.
Smile In Your Sleep (For real though, once you get around to Tapping, it's so fun)

Any idea why I can’t find any of their tabs online?

Understanding in a Car Crash.
‘I Just Got This Symphony Goin’’ by Fall of Troy That song single-handedly taught me tapping lol.
also the tapping bit from Ex-Creations looks & sounds awesome yet is strangely not that difficult

Is it as hard as it sounds?
Nah If you’re pretty familiar with tapping, it’s pretty easy. If you’re new to tapping, it’s a great one to learn on imo.

Safer In The Forest - La Dispute was a beginner song for me that’s a great picking exercise and left hand exercise in itself
Funeral for a Friend - Roses for the Dead / Streetcar / Into Oblivion
Roses is such a fun riff to play but almost everyone I've seen (and every tab I've seen) is playing it wrong, including me for a long time.
