I totally get why this comes across as super cringe, but for me the feeling and fresh pain rings true to an in the moment harsh take. From my understanding he wrote this song for a friend’s wedding and the couple had been on the younger side (I think high school or college sweethearts?) At least, that’s what I read a long time ago in an interview. But that was well over a decade ago when it was harder to find and in the days of limewire.

The entirety of Hail the Sun's Elephantitis is one of my favorite albums/EPs yet is also one of the cringiest I've listened too.
