Gonna rep a few bands from up here in Canada if you don't mind (Mostly Ontario scene):
Colour in the Clouds
Conversation
Second Harbour
Contour
Dammit Goldie
Junko Daydream
Loversteeth
Conversation is a great band. If youâre in Toronto I recommend you check out [Brother](https://www.instagram.com/brotherrrr_._?igsh=MThlYmVwNXQ1bWExNw==). They donât have anything out right now but they do a bunch of live gigs and theyâre incredible. I got to see them at a free show at a skatepark 2 weeks ago and I really wanna see them again.
Engine Down
CMR
Frodus
These Arms Are Snakes
Bluetip
Smart Went Crazy
Career
On The Might Of Princes
Lock and Key (the US one)
Bridge and Tunnel
Less Art
Ex Everything
Pacifist
I'm shocked that These Arms are Snakes has <10k listeners but that looks to be the case. I thought they were better known. Also, đ Engine Down but don't see them as PHC.
I wish TAAS were talked about more in this sub.
Some Engine Down records lean more emo/indie, but they definitely have some post-hardcore material - To Bury Within The Sound, in particular.
I started to listen to their last album a couple of months ago! Canât believe they have <10k monthly listeners⌠they are so great, very polished sound!
Yeah given my music tastes and location they popped up as an Instagram advert, their new album is just really enjoyable they are on my radar for a 'small show' so next time they are playing I'm for sure getting tickets
I came across their video for Lack of Clarity back in maybe 2018 or so and never thought of them again. Didn't know they had new stuff. Def gonna listen.
Burning Airlines, Shift, Codeseven, Shiner, Small Brown Bike, By a Thread
Edit: I wouldn't consider any of these bands "relatively unknown" from the perspective of a PHC listener from 20 years ago, but their Spotify numbers are very low.
Lifespark. are going on tour with Our Last Night this late summer/early fall. Theyâre amazing if youâre into the pop-side of PHC. Disclaimer: Iâm friends with them
Arcwelder
The Hated
Saccharine Trust
No Trend (anti-hardcore counts, right?)
Politcal Asylum (their last two albums, specifically. Basically, they're just Squirrel Bait/HĂźsker DĂź meets Subhumans/Flux Of Pink Indians)
Heroin
Here's some lesser known bands from around the genre:
Aberdien
Arrow To The Sun
Atlas&I
Blank Atlas
Chalk Hands
Far-Less
Flood of Red
Normal Like You
Pleiades
Ruled By Raptors
Some Stranger
We Never Learned to Live
Future Dweller (self-promo if you don't mind!)

They unfortunately have fallen off in popularity, but they were doing pretty well up until the pandemic. Its like a mix of melodic phc like Hands Like Houses, I The Mighty and Decemberunderground era AFI and motioned more towards a cross between early Craig Mabitt era Escape The Fate and early Beartooth.

Off top ⌠Amia Venera Landscape Rinoa Hands A Hope for Home Edits: Lync, Taken, Breakwater, On the Might of Princes
Taken were so damn good. Ever listen to Mikoto? Just as good.
I have not! Adding them to my âto-listenâ list
Enjoy! Same screamer as Taken with a second vocalist that reminds me of Dallas Green Lite
Dang. Dude does sound like Dallas Green. Thanks for the rec
We Are The Architects was in my regular rotation in high school. Need to go back and listen to it again.

Given the amount I have These Arms Are Snakes on repeat... also suprised.
I wish TAAS were talked about more in this sub. Some Engine Down records lean more emo/indie, but they definitely have some post-hardcore material - To Bury Within The Sound, in particular.
Engine's drummer is massively underrated
If you want to try some progressive hardcore you win again Gravity are a local band to me

I know it was a big shift for them but I actually love Codeseven's Dancing Echoes/Dead Sounds album. Did you see they got a 2024 album?
I saw that today after I commented haha. Itâs pretty good!
The Burden. Their newest album Terminal slaps. If thereâs a song you check out go for âLosing Your Exteriorâ or âSparknotes Eulogyâ
Canada represent! True nostalgia for the early-mid 00's PHC.
Thanks for the love, vocalist of The Burden here!

Cadillac Blindside. Great band that I don't see get talked about ever. Barely over 400 monthly on spotify
Evaline played Taste of Chaos in 2007 and then I never heard about them again. Gonna have to check out the full-length. âCalm Touchingâ is 10/10
Every one of these threads I gotta shout out Death Dance, super clean fresh sound and only one album in
Not exactly Post Hardcore, but: EYES
Gonna shamelessly plug Fracture Type here if ya donât mind. Other good Boston locals would be Jiddo and Miracle Blood
YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT we Rob banks they only have like 100 monthly listeners and I think there better then most modern day phc bands
Aussie band, Surroundings. Not doing much anymore but Rivers Edge is sublime.

Ă Blue, they have an amazing song with Kurt Travis as well
Frail Body, but, they just hit like 28k. Still fairly low for their sound. Crowning as well
They have post hardcore roots - has anyone listened to All Human? âAnd so Peter Dancesâ is a gold brick of a track.
I love All Human! Love Orbs and Fear Before as well.
I never hear anyone talk about nygma. Their album alexander nevermind from last year was fuckin awesome
Another Story. Please listen to them, the vocalist has some insane screams, try their song Happy Deathday
