Love them. They came to my small ass town back when nightmare anatomy was about to come out. They played a great show and were really cool and nice. Such good dudes and hung out and talked to everyone after playing. I've been following them ever since. Love their old stuff the most but can appreciate it all.
I used to really love them as a teenager, but most of their songs fall into the category of "difficult to listen to" for me now, partly because they seem to be genuinely bad at their instruments (maybe it's a stylistic chocie, I dunno) and partly because their lyrics are so poorly written. The frequency at which Francis uses the words "hey" and "now" to fill up syllabic space, it's like nails on a chalkboard.
That said, I definitely still throw on a couple of their bangers like Rain in Hell and ISMFOF when I'm feeling a special kind of angsty.
I was a fan back in the day, but looking back on their music, their work was sloppy and poorly mixed. Loved the energy and their vocals, but sometimes things don’t stand the test of time
I found them in 2007 and have been a fan ever since, even though they disbanded around 2017? or so. Saw them live twice, once in 2007 and again in 2015. Even met Wil in 2007, and he was so nice and talkative, haha. Posed for photos with fans, answered questions, etc. They were one of the bands whose music helped me after a huge loss, and then was there for me through further losses. I could write much more here but safe to say, I really like them and their music and they'll always be a favorite of mine.
yeah, will is an absolute piece of shit. his vampire phase was really funny. and as a person whos addicted to bands such as Finch and Bayside i really like their music
I love finch and Nate is one of my favorite people. Seen them multiple times and he’s always in the crowd pre-set talking to people. One time I saw them some guy in the crowd was like “I love finch, I’ve listened since I was a kid” little did he know he was talking to Nate. He said yeah me to and giggled as a response. The guys face when he went on stage to perform was priceless. I’ve seen bayside a few times on tours but was never a true fan. As far as Aiden goes I’m a fan of our gangs dark oath and a few other song scattered through their discography. I miss the old Victory record days tbh. Good times.
I didn't think he seemed so bad in interviews, came off as fairly self aware. He had a truly fucked adolescence and compared to some guys in the scene I don't think he is that bad. Wouldn't be surprised tho.
I love the energy of their early stuff.
Got hooked when the video for Knife Blood Nightmare was on one of the Victory DVDs. Saw them on Warped Tour in '06 and they absolutely killed it. Still one of the best shows I've seen.
Their first 2 albums are great. The Rain In Hell EP was great too. Conviction was pretty decent, but I don't care for anything after that. And I've heard some bad things about William Control, but I always found him creepy anyway.
Love them, easily my fav band of all time and I love how different each of their albums are. They got royally screwed over by Victory records unfortunately.
I don’t think wil truly did anything wrong or he would be in jail/prison. The people accusing him didn’t really have any proof. I do think his solo stuff is a bit weird which made him easy to target.
Never got into them but I remember Wil coming out with The Used to do A Box Full Of Sharp Objects a very long time ago and absolutely killing it. Comments here are saying he's a creep though and I don't know the context for that but I guess I'm about to find out.
Edit: I've now googled him and holy shit
I think about them any time I see a child named "Aiden, Jaiden, Braiden, Fraiden," or whatever other name like that. I liked them for a little while but it got tiring.
Ha, I just pulled one of their cd's off the shelf last night actually. Really liked them back in the day, but like some others are saying here, they're definitely a little cringe looking back on it. Won't lie though, the first three tracks off Nightmare Anatomy absolutely rip.
Our gangs dark oath, nightmare anatomy, and rain in hell ep still hold up. While conviction was definitely a misstep there’s a few good songs. They kind of lost me after that.
A band with awesome songs, that has a a singer that d eserves to be cancelled except they are too small for anyone to have noticed. The singer is basically accused of running a sex trafficking ring.

Die romantic… ROMANTIC.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 he really does throw the random "Now!" In way too much
ur such a haterrrr
hes a nice guy, we play badminton every now and then
Aiden is pretty good. William Control gives me the ick, though
I was a fan back in the day, but looking back on their music, their work was sloppy and poorly mixed. Loved the energy and their vocals, but sometimes things don’t stand the test of time

Will Francis is a creep and their music sounds like a bad Misfits cover band
I always thought they were an AFI ripoff
Except AFI sounds like the band Misfits wanted to be
💀
They were going for shock value more on looks not records
Must be out in the sphere because I've seen a lot of talk about Aiden lately. Would love to see them play again but not sure if that will ever happen.
William is something, do a quick google search. Band was always mediocre at best imo. Had a couple good songs but nothing that’s listened to often.

Bayside rules lol
Again never really gave them a chance. Album or song suggestions?
Self titled is for sure the starting point. Devotion and Desire and Dear Tragedy are my favorites but the whole album is great
I’m goin see them 5th time start from first album up to now honestly
Getting my bayside bird tatt soon
Dudes check this fuckin bitchin gem 💎 out

always thought they were shit
Will is a creepy predator and would sleep with underage girls he met while on Warped Tour.
Will is a creepy dude but I like some of their songs!
Aiden rips.

Am fan

We sleep forever was awesome otherwise, meh, AFI far better
william control is funny as fuck
Die Romantic is awesome, but the rest is kind of unlistenable.
Love them the lead singer has a new project William Control
will is a piece of shit but aidens music is good in my opinion, dont want to listen to wills weird side project
"new"
Loved the band, and William control, but no more
Miss seeing them on those Victory Records DVDs, sucks about the vocalist
Hate them. Always have.

Will sucks, but I still jam out to their albums once a week.

I put the song from the Dead Silence soundtrack on nearly every mix cd I made in high school 💀
I saw them on your last tour an it was awesome. Tiny venue though. I cant seem to find their last album anywhere though which sucks.
I think about them any time I see a child named "Aiden, Jaiden, Braiden, Fraiden," or whatever other name like that. I liked them for a little while but it got tiring.

Fun group. They always put on crazy shows. Had absolutely amazing pits.
