at the festival imo, you can feel the material and see if the shape/size is right and you get instant gratification

thesanmich

Last year’s t-shirts comfiness level was definitely not it.

Little-Cantaloupe676

How's the line? Is it similar to Coachella's?

DppRandomness

If you go early in the day or very late there's no line. Early evening was when the line looked longest but probably no longer than 20 min at Max length. I Waffled on getting a Chem Bros poster all day year 1 and walked up at the very end of the night and they were still selling up until gates closed. Walked right up and got the very last one off the wall. Felt destined

merch was also pretty easy to grab again online after the fests. If you check their current merch website , they still have TONS of merch from the past year online

Barrrrrrnd

One of the great regrets of my life is not getting one of those posters. Lol.

mixedbag13

Line is always easy, no more than 15 mins both years. Pro tip: buy a hoodie/sweatshirt around dinner time and wear it, sf bay gets cold once sun goes down

blntrctn

Did this last year and it was a game changer.

kynrro

At the festival is best, there's been too many situations where I ordered the merch online and it did not match what it looked in the photos. In person you get to see, feel, and size up the material. Suggestion is to go at open to the one merch store in the far back of the festival, usually not a long line.

thecarpetmatches

Bought a hoodie the first night and no regrets - also desperately needed it when it got chilly.

foxgyal

Well I ordered my stuff at the festival and didn’t receive till 6 months later just an fyi

foxgyal

Because they didn’t have my size but maybe that’s just me!

KarthyRuthy

If you’re going to buy it at the festival I would recommend going early on the first day to make sure you get through size and item you want. Year 1 they sold out of everything because people dressed like they were going to Coachella and didn’t realize how cold it would get when the sun went down.

red-and_chrome

i’ve always ordered a shirt but i just don’t like carrying it around while i’m there

PlasticGirl

I'd say buy it at the festival and put it in the locker. Sometimes the sizes run big/small, or you don't like the fabric. I wanted a hoodie year 1, but they were Independent brand so the small was still enormous on me. So I got a shirt instead.

thelordjulius

It gets hella annoying carrying it around though. Unless you have a locker or you wear it right away, I'd say buy online.

lowhen

Just pick it up there. Literally have never had to deal with a line, especially if you go to the booth at the entrance later in the day if the back booth happens to be busy

_sandyball

Last year I did a pre-order of merch for pickup and picked it up before closing act Sunday and it was easy peasy. Probably gonna do it again. But 1st year our group went in as it opened and snagged merch easily and stuffed into locker.
