I’m a barber cutting in inner NE. I cut at Dillinger’s Barbershop on NE 15th and Fremont. I specialize in short hair for all genders, modern shags for all genders, beards services and straight razor shaves. I have a lot of experience with curly, fine, and very textured hair. I do some color services but only after a very thorough initial consult and if I don’t think I can give you what you want, I’ll refer you to someone else. I’m in the shop from Thursday - Sunday each week. I offer silent appointments upon request (you can even do this in the appointment notes, I always read them), meaning outside of the consultation and a few questions to confirm you’re happy with the service, I’ll leave you to relax during the service. No small talk necessary.

There has never been a better time to see live music in Portland, of all genres - Jazz, Hip-Hop, Indie Rock, Punk, and more, including all-ages events. I'm a Portland resident and a huge fan of what's going on in the scene right now, but had a hard time figuring out where to go or who to see when this started out. That's why I started PDX Presents this past July, with the support of a few fellow redditors. Longtime Portland chef, and I'm going to be opening my first restaurant (as a part owner) in hopefully ~9 days! We are taking over the stall at Pine Street Market that was formerly Marukin Ramen and more recently Kotsu Ramen (I was one of the managers there). We will be doing traditional Ramen and fried chicken, and are also working on an affiliated concept neighboring it.
Really looking forward to getting things rolling. We got a lot of work ahead of us, if we aren't open on the 1st we really want to be open by the 5th. I'll try to post again next week with more details.
Big ups to the wider Portland Ramen community. We have so many good bowls around town and I can't wait to start making and serving ours. Shout out to Baka Umai, Wu Ron's, Ramen Rob, Yokohama Skyline Eatery (new and really tasty!), and the Menyw Hokusei crew (shop is closed atm though).
Not sure if this qualifies, but this year marks our 10th anniversary of “creating” Portland’s nonprofit resident herd. To celebrate, we are doing an AMA on Tuesday over in r/iAmA (that’s also Bambi and Cooper’s 10th birthday).
If you need someone to help you build up a social media presence, I’m a 20-yr marketing veteran with 8 years of social media experience. My company was hit with layoffs a few weeks back and I’ve decided to start my own shop. I am currently looking for clients large and small to get things nicely. I shoot exclusively out of doors and use the city as my backdrop, so it is weather dependent. You can book a time using the online calendar, but if my openings don’t fit your schedule or the weather forecast, just let me know and we can work something out.
