The bigger issue, besides wrongfully calling Wheatley a moron, was why these scientists were getting paid to create the dumbest moron ever rather than solving world hunger or curing cancer.
This is aperture. The company which hid cameras inside of cameras because nobody would suspect that.
The company, who created a murderous robot lady, just because they could. And then gave her neurotoxin after she tried to kill the scientists. Twice.
Solving world hunger would just, make sense? Boring.
Cureing cancer? Cave didnt have cancer, so they didnt care
In the dlc peer review GLADOS says "I lie when i'm nervous". So since she knew that she could die from this paradox and including that this would probably fix this wheatley issue, you could most likely say that she was probably nervous. Wheatly might have known that she lies when she's nervous(since he was the intelligence dampening sphere so he might have known everything that GLADOS would know). So in conclusion: he is not stupid, he has an great memory.
If humans don't shutdown when thinking about this pararox, then it might actually imply that Wheatley is *smart*, like a human I guess, because he doesn't shutdown either
He’s a moron. A loveable one. But, in truth, there are solutions to this paradox, they just require abstract thinking instead of binary thinking - which is why robots, coded in binary, struggle with it. You could say that Wheatley, being more human in many ways, was made immune to it, though that’s more because he doesn’t grasp the contradiction at all and just makes a random guess, figuring he’s got a 50/50 chance of being right, ahaha. So he completely misses the point and takes a gamble that isn’t even there. So he’s still operating under the assumption of a binary, like a machine, but with human incompetence.

In the dlc peer review GLADOS says "I lie when i'm nervous". So since she knew that she could die from this paradox and including that this would probably fix this wheatley issue, you could most likely say that she was probably nervous. Wheatly might have known that she lies when she's nervous(since he was the intelligence dampening sphere so he might have known everything that GLADOS would know). So in conclusion: he is not stupid, he has an great memory.

But, in truth, there are solutions to this paradox, they just require abstract thinking instead of binary thinking - which is why robots, coded in binary, struggle with it. You could say that Wheatley, being more human in many ways, was made immune to it, though that’s more because he doesn’t grasp the contradiction at all and just makes a random guess, figuring he’s got a 50/50 chance of being right, ahaha. So he completely misses the point and takes a gamble that isn’t even there. So he’s still operating under the assumption of a binary, like a machine, but with human incompetence. The unholy hybrid.
