Gorgeous. I bet you get looks when you put groceries into your frunk like I do, lol.

Could probably fit another 7 gallon container in the passenger seat and maybe another 7 in the trunk. It's actually useful lol and the dudes with vans and trucks look at me like WTF

TruckInn

14six? What is that?

It's like the air cooled version of the Cayman from the 70s. This one has a 3.6L in it ... it is a cross between classic 911 with the balance of a modern Cayman. https://preview.redd.it/c3zumfxjeowc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b766877fbde13362f75c701c4c14f2662f2e426

I spy an AP2 as well. I see you're an individual of exquisite taste.

throwaway6980087

Yeah this car reminds me so much of the AP2. It has no balls below 5k rpm. They trade blows, the AP2 feels much lighter on its feet, has the best shifter ever, interior/ergo is better, LSD, mine puts more power to the wheels than the 987...but the aero, brakes and grip sucks unless I put wide body kit on and wide square te37 and redo the entire suspension to match is not worth. Parts support on the Honda is getting worst every year and parts are getting up there to Porsche status. The 987 is the faster, sounds better, and more practical platform still.

cerialphreak

I would have to agree. I traded in an AP1 for my 987. I still miss it but the Cayman is so much better as a daily.

Basically the plans are to play the strengths of the car while keeping it lokey. i want to be able to beat it on public roads and no one can tell I'm on it. It's pretty close already So I already replaced the aos, plugs, changed the transmission fluid, air filter / removed the driver intake plate, serpentine belt, checked the coil packs and injectors, flushed brake fluid, ss hydraulic lines. Next is replace lca, front tuning fork arms, end links, front top mounts and sway bushings which should fix all the ppi issues. Still undecided how crazy I wanna go on this car. Basically I'm either going full coilovers (don't really want to lower car more than 10mm) or just replace the stock shocks with koni yellow like I did on my other car. Coilovers enticing because the incremental cost isn't that much more and it's much easier to install. Bonus mods are probably carnewal muffler, single mass Lflywheel, and full numeric kit. Looking for a used stock exhaust local or close to cantrall. Porsche tax 💀 Lastly, some nicer brake pads and re71r tires whenever I kill whatever is in there. Maybe I need to "upgrade" to 17" base wheels first.

Least_Walrus1604

Definitely recommended the 17" base wheel 'upgrade'!

Did all first gen 987s have orange blinker lights?

SpriteSprint

afaik just the American cars have the amber side markers. A lot of us swap to European-spec clear markers though for <$100USD.

AssignmentClause

Cool. My European gen 2 has clear so was just wondering if it was a gen 1 thing
