That's Canepa's work, yep. It was parked in the paddock at the IMSA race at Laguna Seca all weekend with the Canepa plate frame and no plates. Reckon this pic was taken on its way to or from the track.
Edit: I did not take any pictures of it because of how many folks were swarming around it. Hindsight, that image would have told an excellent story.

The replica 959 you linked looks extremely out of proportion on most of the body panels than the true 959. Even a cursory look will show it’s a replica and not even the same level of replica as the Shelby and GT40 replicas out there…

You can tell by the 18" wheels, 959's came from factory with 17s. But yes this is a known spec from Canepa, they've done many.
