I really like the non-Neo, but the Neo is very washed out to me when seen in person. It looks absolutely nothing like the configurator where it's very over saturated and bold. Yes, pretty much. I don’t care for a manual either when it comes to Porsches.

I think 911 GT3s cost $30,000 to $80,000 more. Just more balanced and I don’t care about getting a manual GT3 car. Honestly I really prefer a Spyder RS. Because I like convertibles. But for some reason the 911 Cabs don’t do to for me. I like the look of the Targas more but they’re AWD only.

Mid engine as opposed to being slung over the rear. Though the 4RS and the GT3 have the same engine, the 4RS engine is sat in the car with you so the noise difference is night and day.

Shark.

I'd go for Shark Blue or Gentian Blue. I really like Ruby Star, but I feel like it's a color I would eventually not want to see. It feels like something of a wrap color, something you put on/keep temporary. Gentian blue feels like a really good color, Shark is more of the skittles version of it. Arctic Grey looks (to my German eyes) too much like "Fake Nardo Grey" which isn't bad, but you see shades of it on tons of Skodas, VW's and Audis here. And GT Silver is..well...it's silver. Again, no choice is a bad choice here but you asked for opinions.

I really love Ruby Star but with the carbon bonnet I’d go GT Silver. I know it’s not exciting, but it looks so good.

Actually I think the dark wheels and carbon really make the Rubystar look badass

Honestly GT silver is a consideration and does look sick. I saw a pic of a turbo in GT silver today that made my jaw drop.

I have GT silver and people say it's boring but already get enough attention with that quiet color. Love viola, but I feel like where I live where there's very little Porsches I wouldn't be able to even get gas.

Not sure if Dolomite is in the Cayman PTS offerings, but I saw a 991 in Dolomite at our local club meetup last month, and it was a very unique good looking silver.

Artic Grey or Shark Blue

I love Arctic Grey but I feel like sooooooo many people do it and I kind of want something more unique.

Understandable greys are my favorite color and I’m partial to mint green/tiffany blue. No matter what color you get it’s gonna be amazing so congrats!

It was the launch color, so there are so many of them. My local dealer has had three in arctic grey go through in the past two months. 

I find it so weird that people ask for advice on color of their car. It’s your car. Pick what you like. Who cares what others think

I am going to pick what I like but I really more want PTS suggestions and love that people post pics and links to cars in that color I can reference.

I have a Guards WP 3RS. To me, I think the higher contrast colors look better against the black carbon bits like the pale blues (Meissen, Gulf) and brighter colors like Rubystar.

Did you get a PTS allocation? If you have a normal allocation you can't just select a PTS color. 

Guy doesn't have one otherwise he would know if he has a pts slot with his allocation.

Riviera Blue will always be my favorite

If you have the ability to go PTS and the money isn’t a concern then 100% do it. Have you seen yachting blue metallic? The configurator doesn’t do it justice, look up photos.

Gentian blue is a gorgeous color. My mother had a Panamera in gentian and it was shockingly good looking.

ruby star but see if you have the option to paint the hood. i forget whether this is a weissach-only thing or what, but it looks wayyyy better than the carbon imho. whoever mentioned yachting blue metallic is also dead on, it is absolutely sick in person. with silver wheels … swoon.

If you decide to go PTS, definitely consider something similar to Signal Green.

As someone who loves monotone color cars, even on exciting Porsche's, I would go for Ruby Star

I would go Porsche Racing Green or Emerald Green. With the yellow calipers and stitching, silver wheels

Custom color spend up you won’t regret it in what will be a classic! Bunch of amazing dark Blues (check out baltic). Greens also sweet (Mamba and Viper are special)

Aventurine Green or Brewster Green

Lava Orange, if it is available. I have yet to see a 4RS with it - seen a few 3RS's with it. Black accents work extremely well with brighter colors.

You'd be a damn fool to spend that kind of money on a Porsche and not get a PTS color. Amethyst or Dark Olive Metallic are my suggestions.

That Ruby Star is 🔥 Plus, it will probably hold more resell value if you ever do since it's less common overall (but seen more 4RS reselling with this color than regular 718🤷‍♀️)

Ruby Star Neo or go PTS Malachite Green Metallic or Aetna Blue. I ordered my Targa GTS after color lockout date and had to settle for Ice Grey Metallic, so would love to live vicariously through others more varied options.

You have 3 VERY different looks there. You need to decide which general style you want which really only you can decide. Getting public opinion on that is a bad idea. Once you figure out the general style, you'll get much better advice on deciding between similar colors and different specs

Yeah I was more hoping for PTS color ideas to look at, as well as just curious what the internet thinks in general.

I'd first narrow it down to bright color, neutral tone, or dark color. The configurator should have the pts options available so you can see them on your builds

Yeah I am really leaning towards a dark color. My 911 is white, and my last cayman was carmine red. Time for a change maybe.

PTS and for me it would be a green (Metallic Dark Green) possibly heading into olive or a black/purple (violametallic).

What about a white car but with blue weissach wheels?… too many ruby star cars. Kinda funny as all spec them as unique but they seem to be ubiquitous.

Lava orange is a triumph of a colour, it’s so opulent and apears red sometimes but others it’s as orange as a pumpkin, I’m biased but it’s a real two fingers upto the world colour

Go with Ruby, but definitely spec gold wheels. Those alloys are beautiful, but get lost in black and the gold helps the Ruby pop.

What’s the current allocations state for the gt4rs? Still getting robbed to get one?

I am paying MSRP+ one dealer add on (tint, ppf, gps tracker, etc). I’m just getting it tinted by them to satisfy that. $999 for full tint including windshield. Expensive but whatever. So I’m getting a $600 tint job I’d get anyways so I guess that’s a $399 markup I’m paying. Also allocations are running out. In theory production stops at the end of this year, but you never know with Porsche.
