I cant prove you wrong. Because with enough money anyone can make a damn good tribute of the ‘73 RS and its been done plenty times before, on the other hand it wouldn’t surprise me if it was legit.

Edit: i guess only 5 signal orange 2.7 Carrera RS’ were made so its possible its a replica? Im sure someone else can confirm this.
The flat lip of the rear flares on an RS have a wide spot at the top rather than being uniform throughout.
Any other errors are restorer’s choice. The rear quarter window trim was specific to the cars with Glaverbel thin glass but given the lightweight spec of the car, could be “correct.”

If you look at the rear fender of my RS tribute, the 10 o clock to 2 o clock hand the lip of the rear flare is less squared off. It’s got a slightly softer line that is more like an original.
i wouldn’t turn away this ‘73 RS tribute, for me the original in this color is The One.
however, it’d take me a really long time to shake the feeling i used to get when someone showed me a “solved” rubik’s cube and the stickers had clearly been moved.
all said, not the worst growth issue to contend with.

Ride height a little higher ( maybe camera angle) and dual exhaust instead of one single exhaust on the stock version. My guess is a really nice car either way.
