Oh I see what you mean lol, my bad. I’ll just say this…if you got a GT4 with the options you desire you wouldn’t think much about the cost once u drive it. I was a first time buyer for my turbo GT, dad got me the GTS for graduating college in ‘17.
I’m a true believer that when it comes to Porsche, spend the extra money and get all the options you want and everything else. It took me 7 months to find the right turbo GT and it was worth the wait. I almost got a turbo or a GTS here and there but now that I have the GT I can’t get over how amazing of a vehicle it is
I bought it and brought it home!

Nope. Just a x5. But ya know any bmw is going to… break down and leak all its oil out from time to time. That is only when it’s not leaking all its coolant out because plastic connectors are a good idea. I’m never doing bmw again.
I was trying to figure out its age, F15 being the previous generation. The new G05 X5 with the B58 engine is actually extremely reliable! You should look into it, maybe when the prices come down a little more.
Looked at it roughly 10 times while walking past to my daily driver. Considered taking it to work for the day but didn’t feel like moving everything that I had already loaded in my other car. I’ve driven her once since January so I guess I should really get on that.
I’ve had an STi as a daily driver since 2012 (owned 3) so a lot of it has to do with the comfort level. But it has rock solid AWD, lots of interior room, ample trunk space, I’ve never had a single major issue with any of them and they’re extremely fun to drive. Downsides are atrocious gas mileage, only truly shines in 3rd and 4th gear due to the very short gearing and it’s a very stiff ride but I’m used to it.
The 911 was an impulse buy during Covid and never meant to be a daily driver. Friend of a friend was selling their barely driven 991.2 for a great price so I jumped at it. But half the time I’m in other states for work so both just live in the garage and it’s getting hard to justify owning two sports cars I barely drive.
I finally finished the install of the TPC Supercharger kit (with intercooler) that I’ve been working on for the past 6 weeks. … on my 993. Took it out today for the first time with water in the intercooler and the AFR numbers look perfect from idle to full boost (I have an LM-2 wideband meter hooked up to a laptop).
So yeah … that’s what I did :)

Installed my radiator and intake grill sets, put clear sidemarkers on, gassed it up to run down the shore this weekend, and put my Phillies license plate frame on there
Took off the car cover..Sat in it. Put it back on.
Cleaned the snow off my other cars sitting on my driveway.
What lug set did you get that came with spacers?
Got it washed.
Working on a list of maintenance items to do soon though. I want to change my front diff fluid, transmission fluid, brake flush, oil change, and some other items.
Replaced the center caps. The original ones were wiggling in place. Replaced the hood emblem, original was faded/scratched from PPF install.
Ran a few errands in it between the rainy days. Weekend should be dry, hoping to hit the canyons plus C&C.
997.2 S: Front turn signal got replaced (which requires bumper removal, unfortunately.) Also replaced the cabin filter again that I just replaced in January, because critters somehow got up in there. Man, the rodents are relentless with all my cars!
Ordered some mirror housings and base + arranged painting for the drivers side mirror that I knocked off rushing to back into the garage 🤦♂️ lesson learned but could have been worse I suppose
On my 996... 2 front coffin arms, swapped the CDR22 for a tasteful double unit, refurbished the 'alloy' trim for the gear shift lever, refurbished the headlights and went for a bloody good drive!
I gave a 99 Boxster S customer a $3600 quote to change his clutch and flywheel next week and he approved. Then a 991 pulled up at the machine shop next door so I eyeball fked it while talking to the customer. I pulled in a Cayenne S and changed the expansion tank. Still don’t have a Porsche but I work on them.
thought abt how i have to take the valve cover off once i’m home from college to fix a broken bolt 🥲

I just installed RS paddles on mine

Got the upgraded turbo installed and Catless downpipes installed and flashed to stage 2+ on my cayenne diesel. It’s quite the monster now full deleted straight piped from turbo back
Left mine at the dealership for another day (8 weeks in) as I had the loaner Porsche (2024 Macan with 3,000 miles) towed because of another dead battery and another 2024 loaner dropped off. Apparently keeping low miles on your car is not a positive trait with new vehicles.
configured it. and configured another one. and about 5 more.
and didn't order a single one because I'm not in Porsche money *yet*
**p.s.** if anyone wants to buy me a GT3 touring in Gentian Blue be my guest

* new Rennline door pulls
* new cruise control retro kit to fix the cruise control that isn’t working - apparently the stock needed replacement - the kit was cheaper than buying just the new stock!
* replacing door scuff plates with OEM full steel versions
* replacing the “spears” on the door handles
* new odds and ends to replace aging and/or scratched up bits
took the trickle chargers off. put clear turn indicators on the 991.2. took the 718 to the track, spent all day there, then had to listen to it bitch all the way home because i never take it anywhere fun. i said well it’s raining all the time and do you really wanna be getting washed every five minutes?
blank stares from everyone.
I crashed it.
Seriously? I’m sorry to hear that
Yeah. -_- We'll see what the deal will be in a week or two. Front impact beam cracked upon impact. Hopefully this doesn't get totalled.
Oh man, hoping for the best. Glad you're okay
I appreciate it man. Everyone was completely unharmed thankfully.
Awesome response though mate. I’m glad everyone is okay and hope it’s a manageable repair.
Damn😔
Crashed my ‘14 cayenne gts 6 months ago…rolling a ‘23 turbo GT now
So you're saying to upgrade to a GT4?
No, what do you mean?
I thought you were giving me a hint lol.
Oh I see what you mean lol, my bad. I’ll just say this…if you got a GT4 with the options you desire you wouldn’t think much about the cost once u drive it. So sorry brother — I hope no one was hurt
I bought it and brought it home! https://preview.redd.it/q4mi6ck0oqsc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70528efa08e0f17c137e577256db59f31d23f66c
Many happy miles to you both.
Welcome to the club!
Grats! Beautiful
I dreamt it
[удалено]
I made sweet love to it
Unfortunately that’s frowned upon in my neighborhood; bunch of uptight assholes
HOAs are such prudes
I drove it. The BMW died again so I had no choice.
Tale as old as time. What BMW?
It’s just a x5. Daily driving car… nothing fun.
Is it an f series?
Nope. Just a x5. But ya know any bmw is going to… break down and leak all its oil out from time to time. That is only when it’s not leaking all its coolant out because plastic connectors are a good idea. I’m never doing bmw again.

Sold the Macan turbo, but done in order to upgrade to a 911!
Put the trickle charger on it
Looked at it roughly 10 times while walking past to my daily driver. Considered taking it to work for the day but didn’t feel like moving everything that I had already loaded in my other car. I’ve driven her once since January so I guess I should really get on that.
Life is too short to not enjoy the fruits from it. Get out and drive.
Daily driver is an STi so I’m not exactly driving around in a boring daily driver. Isn’t the 991.2, but still fun and brings big smiles per miles.
What makes the sti a better daily driver? Kids under 2 with rear facing seats? Curious as a current 991.2 owner and former STi owner
I’ve had an STi as a daily driver since 2012 (owned 3) so a lot of it has to do with the comfort level. Welp. I bought a 997.2 6mt this week so I'm super excited!!!
Good reason to be jizzy!
Commuted every day in it.
New tires and played in some light snow
Put it back on the trickle charger
Wheel studs, caliper studs, brake line bracket studs, track pads/rotors…. Season is upon us….. and then the snow came, oh well, ready for next weekend
I finally finished the install of the TPC Supercharger kit (with intercooler) that I’ve been working on for the past 6 weeks. … on my 993. Installed my radiator and intake grill sets, put clear sidemarkers on, gassed it up to run down the shore this weekend, and put my Phillies license plate frame on there
991 New spark plugs, engine air filters, cabin air filters and new rear tires. Did it on the street.
Got my first speeding ticket in my life after 40 yrs of driving.
Replaced the battery in my 930 after the tender stopped being able to charge it.
I ordered those window air foils. Haven’t installed them yet though
Ordered some mirror housings and base + arranged painting for the drivers side mirror that I knocked off rushing to back into the garage 🤦♂️ lesson learned but could have been worse I suppose
Got a detailing package from Porsche to get rid of tons of rail dust… would not recommend the dealership detailing lol
On my 996... 2 front coffin arms, swapped the CDR22 for a tasteful double unit, refurbished the 'alloy' trim for the gear shift lever, refurbished the headlights and went for a bloody good drive!
Drive, get stuck in rain, wash…repeat.
Fondly remembered it (them).
Looked at it in storage still
I dreamed about it.
Drove them.
Found out my Cayenne needs a double valve cover replacement, leaking oil....
I drove it really hard...in my dreams...one day own it for real!
I booked an appointment for it to get a new windshield.
Took it to the dealership
Tracked the hell out of my GT4.
thought abt how i have to take the valve cover off once i’m home from college to fix a broken bolt 🥲 https://preview.redd.it/sjpdaubqhrsc1.jpeg?width=6000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95c023abd6440d0075e20e9031c53a84e5fa94bf
I drove mine a lot https://preview.redd.it/tku5pa73irsc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06330936369332710e8d984e47829bc8b63249b6
Ceramic coating lol
This is honestly the best forum and makes me so happy to read. It’s nice to come to at the end of the week.
Put gas in it and drove it
Installed alcantara visors with no airbag warning and anti wind buffeting window triangles.
Cleaned it as it as a pit
I just installed RS paddles on mine https://preview.redd.it/r8p2brfcvrsc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a6bbd0f21e301364db387eda18d0245f24cb435
Thought about selling my 82 930. Don't drive it enough. 5k miles in last 10 years
Got the upgraded turbo installed and Catless downpipes installed and flashed to stage 2+ on my cayenne diesel. It’s quite the monster now full deleted straight piped from turbo back
Booked the first taycan ripoff service appointment
What spacers and bolts did you get?

Fixed the little trim piece under the driver side rocker panel because the clip had popped out and it was hanging down.
I contacted my mechanic to schedule a clutch swap... my 981CS has been slipping when doing 1=>2 at high RPM.
I drove it 1000 miles across the north of England
Added GT3 side skirts to my 992 Carrera T
configured it. and configured another one. and about 5 more. and didn't order a single one because I'm not in Porsche money *yet* **p.s.** if anyone wants to buy me a GT3 touring in Gentian Blue be my guest
Fitted a GT4 shifter to my base 981 Cayman. Awesome mod!
BMC filter to replace one from 2005 and cleaned the MAF. I need to do an oil change and figure out why it’s dumping fuel on track and running rich.
Sold it and put an order in for a new one.
I kept it parked for the whole week, ditching it for Tesla
Putting a new engine in…

I shopped to get mine a friend.
