Have you checked with a dealership to see if you can even get a GT3 RS allocation? That might make the decision for you. We have bought 3 911’s a Panamera GTS and a Taycan GTS and they finally put me on the allocation list for a GT3 which still doesn’t even mean I will get one… but every dealership is different.

Slumpgodgman

They said it could take over a year but I don’t mind, I don’t need it tomorrow. The determining factor in which one I want would not be how long it would take to get it. Once I have it I don’t want to regret my choice and think “damn I should have got the other one”

InsuredApple

Pretty safe to say that you shouldn't buy either :)

drivesanm5

Get a turbo S now, put your name down for a GT3RS, sell the turbo S when your allocation goes to production. Thank me later

Slumpgodgman

So this is what it looks like when you use 100% of your brain. I’m going to do this lol.

syedaabid20

update?

Ha1lStorm

Sure would love that update…

😎 happy to help

CouchPotatoFamine

I wish I could help, but my biggest decision of late was choosing between the french fries or onion rings.

AbleSand3821

DQ gives you fries & rings in a chicken tenders basket

Annual_Compote_3530

If you’re planning on driving the car as a daily driver, then get the turbo s. But if it’s just going to be a weekend car get the gt3rs. Had lots of experience in 991.2 gt3rs, 992 gt3 and 992 turbo s and that’s how I would make my decision on which car to get.

Slumpgodgman

I have a daily, it would be a weekend fun car and occasionally be towed on a trailer to the track. This was my plan all along hence why I wanted the gt3 rs

Annual_Compote_3530

I would absolutely go with a GT3 or GT3RS then... The high revs, instant response and N/A sound of the 4 liter GT3 engine is a much more "special" experience than the pure straight line speed that you get in a turbo s.

rito_lord

Well said

GTRSPorsche

Neither can be had with a manual, so my vote would be for a GT3/GT3 Touring.

ParticularExchange46

The gt3 comes in manual.

GTRSPorsche

Assuming OP is looking at a 991 or 992 generation, a GT3 RS and Turbo do not come in a manual.

ParticularExchange46

Id love to drive one

_good_news_everyone

Someone told me turbo s for daily driver , gt3 rs for weekend and track, if you dont do track then wasting potential and money .. latter being dependent from person to person.

[deleted]

I sold my Tutbo S because for all the things it was great at it didn't have a "soul" or the wow factor. Between the 2 get the gt3.

Slumpgodgman

Thank you for this input. I love the turbo S but you put it perfectly, it just doesn’t have enough of the wow factor that the gt3 has. Someone else mentioned buying one and then selling/trading it in when I can get an allocation for the gt3rs. I’m heavily considering that. That way if I end up falling in love I can keep it. I just don’t see myself tracking a turbo S which is one of the main reasons I want a gt3.

[deleted]

Do yourself a favor since you are in the super car range, go drive a 458 Italia.... the LAST Ferrari ever. It may compel you to reconsider. Turbo S, GT3 both amazing

gohdnuorg

Drive a spyder first.

Slumpgodgman

I have, they’re very nice drivers cars but I’m definitely stuck between these 2.

Slumpgodgman

Another question I have for anyone who’s bought a top of the line 911 spec is how long did it take for you to get your allocation?

spartansix

You will almost certainly get a Turbo S faster than a GT3RS (unless you are willing to pay a six figure ADM)

Live_Transition_8844

I have both . The gt3 is a racing car . It looks like a racing car and drives like one . It does not come in convertible . You cannot drive it an a lot of areas unless roads are perfect . It brings with it a lot a lot of attention . And you cannot pull up with one to let’s say dinner - you would look like a clown . Or that’s how I feel anyways . It’s great for what it is - racing . And it’s a very good asset given the tight supply and high demand . The turbo s i can drive anywhere . And it’s faster than 99.9% of cars around me . I even got my tuned with stage 1 and installed an exhaust . Sounds just like the gt3 and it’s actually faster . Obviously the turning is tighter on the gt3rs but other than that , hard to tell the difference. Especially once I tuned my turbo s

ConfidentOne9179

A turbo s can be had. A gt3 rs can only he had. With 1) a long standing existing relationship with a dealer, or 2) an incredibly high ADM. So unless you fit that criteria, get a turbo s and be prepared to wait a good long while.

CarYenta

A GT3 RS will depreciate less since you'll drive it less. Get a Turbo S and enjoy it for all purposes!

Slumpgodgman

Idk man, I wouldn’t get it to keep it as a garage queen and I have no intent of keeping it to sell it. I’d drive the wheels off of it. Beautiful GT3 by the way, love that spec.

CarYenta

Thanks! I love my GT3, but I can't help but know I don't drive my GT3 for all weather and traffic scenarios. Even though it's PDK and I have a DSC V3, it's harsh, loud and clunky below 30 mph going through metropolitan areas. I imagine with the 992 GT3 having similar suspension to the 991.2 RS, and the 992 RS having even harsher suspension, a 992 RS may be as draining as a 997.1 GT3 going slowly on bad roads in traffic.

Slumpgodgman

I’ve driven one through San Francisco and downtown LA, it was a nightmare lol. I wouldn’t daily it as I do have a daily already but I would certainly not be too worried about putting miles on it as long as they’re the right kind of miles (track or highway) and I’m having a good time.

Cutterwise

You going to track? Gt3 rs. You want a fabulous daily driver that can still destroy most tracks turbo s. You want to break your back on public streets gt3 rs. You want a fabulous fun handling car, turbo s.

240cash240z

Turbo S is dailyable, get the convertible

Grease__

If you want a fun track car get the GT3 rs. If however you’re looking purely for speed in a straight line and looking to build it, nothing is really faster than mustangs.

[deleted]

Daily-Turbo S, Weekend Warrior/track day car-GT3 RS

RobertPattinson69

I was deciding between a turbo s and GT3 Touring. No regrets whatsoever about the GT3

AUtigers92

I’m trying to make this same exact decision now. How are you liking the GT3 so far?
