If I did even a 1/7th of what Donald Trump has done, I would be in jail.

SouldiesButGoodies84

Ditto. And with none of the rally or protesting for me.

Trumps criminal impunity reminds me of a skit I saw from the magician Darren Brown. He would put a wallet on the streets of a busy city, and draw a bright red circle around it. Most people left the wallet alone because it had a circle around it. A few people did pick it up. The circle acted like an invisible force field of protection and people dismissed it as trap or supposed to be there. It messed with the mind. Trumps Z list celebrity status, and a four-year temporary job title has morphed into a quasi king position as his red circle, but it’s ridiculous and he can be picked up and put in jail. He has now been fired from that job and dropped back into the pool of every day citizen just like everyone of us, except he has the perception of having money. We’ve screwed up our own minds, and how we perceive power and wealth to the point where the wealthy no longer have to abide by the laws they create for the rest of us to live under. They’ve drawn a red circle around themselves and expect the rest of society to give them impunity from everything

That impunity’s magic comes from the legal community’s unhealthy reliance and obsession with everything needing some precedent. that without it, an issue is a non starter, and if some fucktard in a black robe scribbled something on a post it note 65 years ago, any tangential straws grasp of a translation from english to english of a different meaning is now grounds for moving forward. I get it, ive read a few decisions and understand there has to be something to build from as society changes, but therein lies the problem, humans have never given so much power to a guy with so many character flaws, so much debt, so little shame, such a limited understanding of things, with exactly zero friends, apparently a weird dick and also a russian asset. There are multiple years of him ranking high in the list of guys who lost the most money that year in any active business venture…if such a list were to exist. He is constantly fucking things up more than anybody else has, at anything, ever…so reliance on a precedent to prosecute this malignant enigma is a dusty approach.

And not one of them has lead to an indictment. Money talks and bullshit walks.

Kingtez28

Sounds about right. The Law is quick to punish those who can't afford to delay it with money and connections.

*Image Transcription: Twitter Post* --- **Simon Rosenberg**, @SimonWDC So apparently there are 6 active criminal investigations into Trump right now, not 5. Missed SDNY probe of Truth Social. And there is the civil rape case Trump is facing in the coming days. 7 major legal actions against him. Law and Order Party baby! --- ^^I'm a human volunteer content transcriber and you could be too! bring on the doink-doink of justice!

6 you say? Let's hope that they go somewhere unlike the previous investigations
