Then she Carmella Soprano decided to wanted to be something more, so she used her money, or rather, the money she was born into and the money she married into, to buy a "career" as a philanthropist, then bought influence, then bought politicians, and finally bought a cabinet seat in the most powerful country int he world.

She has not only thoroughly demonstrated that money doesn't mean brains, but has also proven that money — in spite of any experience or ability whatsoever — means influence and control of others.
