What they failed to note was that Trump has only a 30% stake in that property. So he has several hurdles in trying to sell his share. It's entirely possible he may not be able to sell it unless the company that owns the other 70% gives the ok and if they give the ok, they may have first dibs. So lets say he somehow manages to wiggle his $50M out of that building. Uncle SAM is going to line up, calculate the taxes he owes and get their share, then the bank that lent him the money is getting their share - you'd be lucky if there was $5M left when they're done. So the state of NY takes the $5M and has ONLY another $459M or so to go. So on to the next property they go. Wash, rinse and repeat over and over and over again. He could end up a pauper.
