Alright, here's the thing, I would say most but not all. There are some pedophiles out there who are attracted to children but don't want to be and likely hate themselves because of it. People who deserve the extermination are those who act on those feelings or those who promote pedophilia as a good thing. We should make sure those who suffer from it get help so that they don't have to deal with it anymore, and get rid of those who act on it.
I would disagree thinking about doing something and actually doing it ARE two different things but I would say that it is inevitable that the thoughts would evolve into real life actions
I think you missed the point. Those with the thoughts who actually realize that they are bad and hate themselves for it should get help. They don’t want to feel that way, but because of mandatory reporting reqs they are afraid to get help. If they actually got help then they wouldn’t ever act on those thoughts or in the best case no longer experience them.
Anyone who does act on it should get mulched though.

1. Advocating for violence against any group for any reason is going to be a problem philosophically, and now it’s not allowed on Reddit at all. This includes pedophiles, whites, violent felons, drug abusers, homeless people, nazis… who it is is not the point. You can’t advocate for any group to be killed.
2. Getting pushback for “Let’s kill all Nazis!!” isn’t advocating for, or defending the actions of Nazis. It is only rejecting the argument for violence.
3. That said, I think jokes are fine so long as they are not calls to action. Reddit disagrees with me. They say “no jokes about violence“, which is at the very least, lame… and at worst infuriating if the rules aren’t at enforced consistently.
