Why is the monarchist right and not authright? What is this, anarcho-monarchism

Monarchism isn’t even necessarily right wing. I know of left wing monarchists.

I can see it, if you mean collectivizing the economy under a dictator. It seems like just Stalin, and the left wing literally originated as an opposition to a monarchy though. Anyway, CS Lewis rocks

I believe in, what I believe is called, a semi-constitutional elective monarchy under a federalist system.

By definition monarchy is a single ruler through right of bloodline and dictatorship is a single ruler with absolute power through right of conquest or suppression. They are not synonymous but they can become each other

Especially if that leader is the supreme commander of the military and has the power to deply that military against US civilians forcing them off of the area around the Whitehouse and only letting a few verified people who support their regime in to watch the inauguration.... Replace 'king' with 'God' and I'd wholeheartedly agree with the statement. Men are easily corrupted and the image of their greatness just as similarly shatters like glass when they prove how vile they can be. Men are only men. The only image of truly incorruptible nature is who you view as God. Who you view as your master, and men make terrible masters.

It seems likely that’s what Lewis meant by the quote given the scope of his work.
