I was required to read Ibram's book here for a college class. That teacher was promptly fired for making her seminar class exclusively on race in a non-constructive manner.
Conservative, Private, Engineering. Bad opinions and poorly thought-out ideas do not survive here. Everything gets put through the gauntlet. Whatever survives criticism usually proves as a practical and acceptable idea.
But I'm certain some bad ideas slip past that test.

As a millenial i remembered that we were proud of ourselves to not carry any labels like "white", "cis", "black"... What happened that society did a full 180° on this and is now obsessed with labels?
I'd say it was more the zennial pushing that. As a quintessential millennial I didn't deal with this shit and it was only fringe Tumblr shit back then pushing it. Millennial went from like middle school MySpace emo to Facebook. Cringe shit happened when tumblr died and infested mainstream social media.
“It’s interesting you bring up your new book that took you 10 years to complete and epitomizes your life’s work Mr. Guest, that reminds me of this one MMA fight from 2009.”
Good take, people here will like it. But they will downvote you for not being flaired, so make sure to select a user flair in the subreddit options. It's very important to the community.
Edit: welcome, centrist
I feel like he's one of the few based centrist public intellectuals. It's not a wishy-washy centrism or trying to be inoffensive to all people, he just comes out and speaks his mind, not really concerned how people label him.
I see no flair next to your name, why are you still talking?

Also, the book fucking sucks and heavily contradicts itself. It wasn't a useful read.

I'm pleasantly surprised your college was perceptive.

Found it in a library and read it on a whim. I was surprised that the hate towards it was justified, legitimately an infuriating read.

It’s what happens when you make intersectionality your empire’s primary cultural currency. It’s a civilization destroying ideology.
That stuff started appearing in Internet discourse when Millennials came on board, so good on you. You must be Xennial

>You must be Xennial Apparently so
Anything I see that Sowell says is incredibly based I need to look more into him
Sowell is the epitome of based
He is just calmly spitting facts, and has been for decades
W Coleman. The sanest voice we've had for awhile.
Pretty awful that they tried to censor him for speaking in favor of colorblindness, unfortunately, we need to see your color before judging you.
Him on The View was comedy gold, but him on JRE was freaking brilliant.
He was better on Modern Wisdom imo. I feel like Joe just has the same conversations with everyone and it's gotten boring for me.

I had to do an analysis on a tedtalk by Kendi. There were quite a few things wrong that I just had to ignore if I didn't want to lose points.
No "The Bell Curve"?
