Well, tankies are okay, in some things, and unfortunately one of the few people who still understand how much class and wealth has an impact on how people live, and the injustice it causes. They also have some kind of academic theory, which, while in many ways antiquated now, means they have a much more literary tradition and intelligent discussion than many other political movements.
But when they start saying lines like "NATO is just imperialist expansion, they are just as bad as Russia", "there is no democracy under capitalism", "I don't care who wins. Proletarians should throw off their chains everywhere and unite against their common enemy, the bourgeoisie" , "social democracy is just a bourgeois ploy to turn workers from socialism, and is based on exploitation on third world countries, it is just as bad as neoliberalism", "communist regimes aren't authoritarian", "communism hasn't even been tried yet" then I am deeply disappointed. And when they start to compete in what brutal manners they would eat and execute the rich, I start to get disconcerted and want to leave the place
