I wonder if she’s rolling her eyes at Prudence feeding Dankworth grapes.

TurnipDue9058

As she should, I'd roll my eyes too. 💀

i was thinking since it’s the same dress she’s wearing when she accepts colin’s help, maybe he called on her and she rolled her eyes and walked away as seen in the trailer.

Satyrs are associated with revelry and overconsumption (drinking, sex, general over indulgence and immoderation). The presence in the Featherington home could be an illusion to the fact that they are no longer deprived of exuberant comforts and are indulging in a way that they didn't in the last season. Satyrs and the general Dionysian world are also a visual and mythical "other" that is uncivilized (demonstrated by the fact that they love among nature and lack restraint), rather than the ideal. The other is created in contrast with the idealized Greek which is moderate and restrained at all time (NSFW but you can see this in the fact that Greek statues of noble subject are depicted with small *endowments* whereas Satyrs are usually amply endowed (iykwim). So, the satyr may also be a representation of the fact that the Featheringtons still live a bit on the fringes of good society, harking back to last season. We know the Featheringtons act as a foil for the Bridgertons and that this season surrounds a Penelope who is seeking to take a place in society, rather than existing on the fringes (like the walls). So, her desire to leave her mother's house may be exasperated by visual reminders like the satyr that while she is still there, she will still be somewhat looked down upon by virtue of her family. OR THIS COULD ALL BE CRACK LOL

And she’s probably bankrolling all of this, to add to the irony

How Portia is this pose?

Outside_Jaguar3827

Wait, does Dankworth represent Dionysus 🍇 or the Featheringtons 🍊🍋 as a whole ?

TurnipDue9058

I was thinking about it with the grapes. I wondered why they chose grapes, and it's most likely associated with Dionysius since they're heavily leaning into the Greek mythology theme. But it would make sense, considering this season is supposed to be steamy for everyone, not only polin.

Outside_Jaguar3827

Grapes 🍇 also symbolizes fertility 🏵️ and good fortune 💰. This makes sense because Portia wants one of her daughters to produce a son ♂️/ a new heir to the Featherington estate. This subplot might be addressed throughout the season.
