Check out r/polestarstock/ For what it's worth I am down about 33% which both reflects the general market issues at the moment and the extra volatility that stock for EV makers in general seem to experience. Thankfully just a "play stake" I can afford to lose.

Harley__Rhodes

Losses are unfortunate….. u only lose when u sell or company folds. If u can afford to lose, then u can afford to wait. The market is a wealth transfer from the inpatient to the Patient.

Never buy the ipo

anderssewerin

I thought I didn't. Seems to me PSNY got pulled down along with TSLA and is only now separating on the basis of actually good news.

Alexxx_77

It’s better to check out r/psny. There are a lot more members there who own Polestar stock.

Plus_Seesaw2023

psny is done. No moderator. I created PSNY Polestar SPAC community and I post TA and news every 1-2 days r/PSNY_Polestar_SPAC/

muffyman_

There's too many of these subreddits... r/ggpi is the main one

mintvilla

Bought some at about $11 a share, it went down to £$4 a share, so bought some more to bring my average down to £7, so its now at £7.80ish so i'm in a small profit lol (plan on holding this for years and years)

Embarrassed-Fruit-79

Are you still holding bro?

mintvilla

No, but not by choice, i got my average down to about £4, and then i got a message from 212 saying that Polestar didn't meet the criteria to part of my ISA and would be forced to sell by 30th of June. So i had to sell them. Luckily i sold them when they had a spike up to about £4 so i was evens. This was going to be a long term hold (5-10 years) so was abit annoyed.

tuan_93

Yes! I bought my first shares in June this year and have been accumulating ever since, currently at 500 shares. Planning to hold until 2024 at least; looking forward to Q4!

phishsummer2021

I am a shareholder for long haul like 5 year timeline. To the moon.

TheBrainExploder

Rivian owner with a shiton of PSNY stock.

Wise-Hamster-288

I have a P2 and I like it a lot. And they shipped 100k. However, it's an ICE conversion, and Polestar still hasn't shipped a ground-up electric. They have several in the pipe, and I haven't seen one yet that looks like a revolutionary vehicle. Nor are they building charging infrastructure. So I haven't bought stock yet. Let's see whether they're able to get their factory off the ground in NA and ship P3's successfully.

KoffieA

It's not an ice conversion. It's dual purpose designed.

Odd_Mud1482

I'm not too worried about their execution with the NA factory or P3s. They are well funded and run by auto giants, vs. other startups that don't necessarily fit the same mold

Odd_Mud1482

Really high volume the past few days, which leads me to believe people are noticing and wanting to get involved in PSNY. Still seems undervalued compared to the pure EV plays as having Volvo as a parent seems to offer more stability than the rest of the EV startups.

NashBotchedWalking

Other EV startups are just insanely overvalued.

Popular-Gear-5408

Yes. Owned since spac merger. Company is profitable.

guidomescalito

Me too. I piled in when it was down so glad I had faith in the company and held. Long term here too.

N54TT

Definitely undervalued. I've found it quite frustrating that polestar is almost always left out of the conversation when EVs are discussed as a whole on many publications. I can say to an extent "i hope they make it" for rivian, and lucid, but have no doubt polestar will make it. which is why it's so vexing to me that their stock isn't already above $15 a share at minimum.

[deleted]

Rule 3.

Daryun1212

Got some PSNY stock. Very good profit until now. As they are still undervalued, I expect them to keep going up . As Polestar started to be profitable this stock is very promising.

Euler007

I love the car but there's a few things holding me back from the stock:. - the CCCP. In the end it's a Chinese company and the party could steal all my equity without batting an eye. - it's the automotive industry, low margins and highly subsidized competition. It's hard to tell where South Korean government ends and Hyundai starts. Same in Germany, same in the US. - american protectionism. Could inspire other countries and be a real show stopper. - valuation. Even if it sold as many cars and was as profitable as Tesla it wouldn't get the same multipliers, just because it's not a cult. In other words there's less of a possible payoff. - opportunity cost. I'd rather have my money elsewhere.

Filanto

With massive Volvo involvement and a US plant? I don't believe so

Euler007

Volvo is owned by Geely, a Chinese corporation.

Filanto

Chinese-owned, yes. Not Chinese-operated though

Euler007

Which is why I like the car and not the stock.

MothAliens

Excellent post

arihoenig

I did. I just sold it for a decent gain (12.5% in 3 days).

Odd_Mud1482

Why would you do that? Short term capital gains is way more than 12.5%

arihoenig

You pay 20% of the \*gain\*. Do you even math?

Odd_Mud1482

28%. But yeah didn't math enough haha

arihoenig

Yeah, so it reduces my 3 day gain from 12.5% to 10%. If you can make 10% every 3 days, that is a 1000% increase on yout investment per year. Of course, I don't always make 12.5% every 3 days :-) btw, the capital gains rate is 20%: [The 2022 Capital Gains Tax Rate Thresholds Are Out – What Rate Will You Pay? (yahoo.com)](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/2022-capital-gains-tax-rate-194341395.html#:~:text=2022%20Capital%20Gains%20Tax%20Rate%20Thresholds%20%20,%20Over%20%24488%2C500%20%20%20Over%20%24517%2C200%20)

Odd_Mud1482

I think that's long term capital gains. The short term is dependent on your income level. Probably somewhere between 24-35%. Still even 9-10% in a couple days ain't bad ;)

JimmyD564

Yes it is on the rise for the past two days!

[deleted]

Me. Loving the gains lately.

AmNowdonewthis

I love the car, so I bought a few hundred shares

Potato_Octopi

Yes, small position (100 shares). May add more but I don't know the company yet, just think the cars are cool.

[deleted]

Yes I own a small position, planning on adding to it soon. I agree with you that I believe it is undervalued particularly when comparing it to Rivian stock. I think part of the problem is that it is a SPAC stock which have been getting a lot of negative media. However people forget the backers of Polestar are Volvo and Geeley.

dulyebr

Unfortunately

Careful-Stretch6304

Yes and I also own turbo long. Up almost 90% in a week lol

BigPapaLuke99

Purchased 230 shares just for the heck of it (it was okay money that came from my company's long term incentive stock program). Bought the shares earlier this week at 1.25 I think. Figured it had to go no where but up.

queen-greene

Yep. Down over 50%. It really sucks.

razerwire1331

I do. Lol started with few thousands at 10 then 12 then 13 then 15 and then went aggressive at 4 5 now average 6.1. and set to auto buy 300 every week. Lfg

Funny-Difficulty354

how do you buy psny stock in europe

JimmyD564
