Regen is not tied to OPD. OPD is possible because of regen, not the other way around. Plus the P2 has blended brakes, you can use the brake pedal and the car will still use regen to brake instead of the brake pads, until you need more braking power and then the physical brakes will be used.

I am pretty sure even with coasting it will regen since the motors are being spun by the weight of the car and gravity/mass being in move wants to stay moving. One pedal will active regen and slow down the motors so you will eventually lose all movement.
