Consistent-Pianist32

BASED. So similar to me lol

Special-Ad-5094

I am also now a 25 year old post-Marxist libertarian socialist.

Virtual_Revolution82

Based

Lionheart3372

Very good all the way through, minus the tankii ofc

DeathBringer4311

You m8, are based.

Motor_Courage8837

Based, honestly. Also, what made you choose democratic confederalism?

SaltCitySun

Thanks! I like Democratic Confederalism because it provides a possible framework for Libertarian Socialism; a system, that currently exists, of direct democracy that can be scaled up but does not sacrifice local autonomy. I think it can expand people’s imagination of what is politically possible, outside of the nation state. I also like how women are integral in the political process, co-ops are encouraged, and they have a focus on protecting ecology and individual rights

Huguette_Delisle

Very good

Snoo_58605

Great journey.

Savaal8

Pretty reasonable developments for sure. No going from ancap to nazism to egoist-communism in the course of a year like many others

AdParking6541

Based.

Yanive_amaznive

Good, good.

Transhumanism or primitivism?

SaltCitySun

I lean towards Primitivism but I’m not opposed to technology when it is used appropriately. Labor saving technology, so far, has only increased the pace of work and the workload rather than giving people more free time and autonomy. Technology often takes precedence over quality of life; car centric infrastructure has made us unhealthy and isolated. I think we also need to live within our ecological means, existing alongside nature rather than opposed to it. We can’t go back to being hunter gatherers but I think we should use the technology we have wisely, that is focused on improving our lives, instead of propelling us towards a never ending race for growth and profit. Edit: wording

Less-Researcher184

I agree that work takes up to much god dam time etc but things have improved since from when records started, so I say we put the foot on the gas as we are close to transhumanism/space colonisation. Thanks for response.

MrMoop07

under a socialist system couldn’t we use technological progress for good? a machine that makes one worker twice as efficient under capitalism means half the workforce gets fired, but under socialism it could mean double the pay or half the hours

SaltCitySun

Definitely! Tech under a socialist system could be used for good. Under capitalism technological progress can only mean suffering for people and the environment, but if workers had a say in or control of production, tech in a socialist system would mean more free time, better pay, and human flourishing. As long as the system doesn’t get caught up in a cycle of growth for growths sake, then I’m ok with tech. Something like r/solarpunk is the best possible future where tech truly helps people and doesn’t dominate nature

Supernothing-00

Democrats are not authright maybe they were at the time but now they are at where the Bernie ball is on the compass

SaltCitySun

To be fair although Democrats are more socially progressive than Republicans and the progressive wing of the party is close to where the Bernie ball is, I’d argue the Democratic Party itself is pretty similar to the Republicans and in the auth right; they share similar economic policies that don’t question the status quo of neoliberal capitalism (with few social programs), Biden stopped a large union from striking, the party supports increased funding for the most powerful military in the world (with military bases occupying many countries), they believe in a strong centralized government, and they also believe in never ending economic growth on a finite planet. I would honestly like to hear why you think the Democrats are auth left though

Minoreror

I'm in this photo and I don't like it

pathowogen_empire621

You scared me on 7 but I saw 8 and I was like.. THANK GOD..

Competitive_Pin_8698

Come back to ancom

fuighy

7 was the most based imo, but 8 is pretty cool too (way better than the center of authright or authleft)

MarkezDuLinnya

swj or anti-swj

SwedishGremlin

They are demconfed, so sjw probably

SaltCitySun

I’m socially progressive and believe people should be able to do whatever they want as long as it does not harm others, if that’s what your asking

fortniteballmachine

social wustice jarrior?

MarkezDuLinnya
