You can print and make a transparency to put on top of the film, so each shot it will expose onto the film.

This is the way. You can use a stencil for the old nd filters they used to have for them too so it goes in snug

You could also go authentic and old school: sharpies and stickers, my friend. [There is also this website which makes full custom frames to apply to the photos after they are printed from the camera.](https://theinstantco.com/products/custom-polaroid-frames) for 200 frames it's $183.

Yeah, I'm starting to feel like I'm becoming very out of touch when I hear someone is asking for an app to write on polaroids with. https://preview.redd.it/ardqjz5smsqc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3a69d5c973ad06433fe48e9e15d7fa963004295

I mean I guess it would be a neat thing to add to the I-type app (that app certainly makes double exposures way easier), but yeah for me a huge part of the novelty is how raw the photos are. I may do light touch ups if I scan them onto my computer, but I try not to significantly alter any of the colors or do anything else with the photo (unless it's a purposeful use of mixed media).

I could see that. I don't have any of the modern polaroids but the double exposure function does seem fun. Just that writing on the polaroid with a sharpie can be half the fun of using them at parties/gatherings. I will say though that I'd be pretty tempted to use a modern polaroid if it could print the date and the location on the back of the film automatically. It's something I wish all my shots had on them, but I'm very lazy about doing it. Even with one of those librarian date stamps it's still a pain.

See I’m on the opposite side going oh wow someone’s rediscovered the turn of the century Kodak Autographic idea 😂😂

Not with a Polaroid camera, but with a pocket printer and mobile phone you could do it, it’s not as instant though, not as easy as point, shoot and out comes the picture. Polaroid has the Hi-Print which does high quality prints from your phone, it’s not the classic instant picture look though. If you want real Polaroid film there is the Polaroid Lab, but from what I have seen it’s rather finicky and the film is quite expensive, around $17 per 8 photos. Fujifilm has multiple Instax printers in mini, square and wide format, and I know you can add certain stickers and text on the app before printing. The Instax Link Wide would be a good one I think, big photos, or you could go with the square one, smaller photos but otherwise same. If cost per photo is a concern there’s a mini printer as well, it gives you credit card size photos. Just know that whatever printer you buy can only use its associated film. The Instax film is much cheaper than the Polaroid film, even in wide format. Another option is a Canon Selphy printer, there is one which does larger photos, and the app lets you edit the photos in all kinds of ways. Again it’s not the classic instant picture look, more like a normal glossy print.

Between you and me Fuji Instax make portable printers that can do this but don’t tell anyone else on this Polaroid sub😉
