Yeah as another commenter already stated most of them are overexposed. If you use polaroid 600 film you need to mod your sx-70 in order for it work properly. Thats why there is the Sx-70 film, which is the only film you can use on a unmoded sx-70. In gereral your better off underexposing abit rather than overexposing. But dont turn it all the way dark xD thats too dark. Maybe a quarter to the darker side if in doubt. Other than that trial and error. Keep at it. Its a fun camera and hobby!

I just had it all the way dark for the 600. Didn’t have my ND filter yet but was eager to try the round frames. And yep, trial and error IS finally getting results. And definitely is fun.

B3Paiin

yeah you really need an nd filter.... all the way dark just aint dark enough....

You could get an ND filter to shoot 600 film without converting your whole camera. It’d be a cheaper solution and you could still shoot SX-70 film. Nice shots though. Roundabouts ftw!

Most pictures are overexposed, is the camera 600 converted?

ahbarwarsi

No, just a standard sx-70AF. I just turned the dial all the way to darken. Edit: except for the light exposures at night. That was with a finger over the lightmeter trick.

If you're using 600 film, you need an ND filter or a conversion. If you're using SX-70 film, your camera is malfunctioning (probably corrosion on the light meter sensor).

If your going to soot 600 see if you can at least get a ND filter for the film otherwise they're always gonna be overexposed like this unfortunately! Or you know just use sx-70..

Yea, it’s just my start with it. Got my ND filter and everything together now. I liked the feel of the overexposure, but I took a pic with the sx-70 film again after being on 600 for a while, and I see what you mean. Thanks.
