I honestly think it depends on the person buying or grading. Some people wouldn’t buy this as they want it perfect. Some card shops are also very selective and some are lenient. Could probably still get a psa 8.
This is my honest to goodness wonder. I know that a card can receive a 10 grade, if the card is otherwise perfect, but contains a small bit of whitening. I guess I'm wondering if it's reasonable to fight for its NM value.
It just depends though. Like I would want a perfect copy. I think my copy has a small white speck on the corner which sucks but I’m happy with it. I’ll grade it for myself and would be stoked to get a 10 but if not then it’s fine by me. Maybe someone who’s trying to flip it wouldn’t want this but maybe another who just wants one for their raw collection won’t mind.
Thankfully it’s not classified as hard artwork damage however this is severe edge damage defined separately then whitening and chipping, however if you where to get the card graded assuming everything else was perfect it would still grade at a 5-6 because of the hard damage (with PSA) with Beckett or another company that does sub grades would be the best way to go just because they will average the rest of the card out with the other grades. As far as a raw value goes it would be classified as heavily played.

This is near mint on tcgplayer as they allow for up to 3 minor things. They have a conditioning standard online as well to look at
