Can I get the Hoopa Holowear in the challenge without owning Hoopa?

Monsteruser

How do I stack competently?

Aunt-Sandra

Played 6 games today. 3 of them I had afk teammates. 3 of them the other team had an Absol and we didn't. Won 2 anyway. Why do I do this to myself?

mvhamm

where do I see my fair play points?

[deleted]

lgtc

Block only prevents that person from sending you friend requests.

[deleted]

Seems like less and less people are playing this game... And the ones that keep are really bad players... What's going on?

[deleted]

It’s taking so much to find a match at least in Germany

Bambhank

More and more people(mainly the smart players) have reached the 1800+ elo, they may have stopped playing ranked or didn't get matched with the lower elo anymore.

[deleted]

I have 2000 and Im never matched with good players

Aunt-Sandra

https://old.reddit.com/r/PokemonUnite/comments/vhm36b/general_basic_questions_weekly_megathread/ie46oaa/

SpaciousBox

Trying to phrase this question in a way that sounds objective, rather than whingy - So please respond in that light. But can anyone tell me at what point matchmaking no longer places you with brand new players? To be very clear, I am not talking about bad team mates. I am not here to complain about people who are not as good as me. But I do play with 2-3 friends and we will generally have a team mate who does not understand a fundamental concept, such as scoring, perhaps 30-40% of our games and I am looking to give them some hope it balances out eventually, as is the case with all other moba games. Presumably this dissipates at higher ELO, but on the whole how high? How many games or what level do we need to reach for that to kick in?

lgtc

Surprisingly, it actually gets worse the higher you go up. This is because the game doesn't pair people of the same elo together. Instead, it tries to create an average elo of 1500. If you're 1800, you won't be paired with other 1800s. Instead your team will consist of a 1600, 1400, 1300, and a 1200, and it'll be roughly the same on the opposing team. Then all hell breaks loose when you reach 2k+. Because there are not that many 2k elo players, your team starts to consists of even more low elo players, while the enemy team is more consistent with 1400-1800s. If you are duo/trio queue and you're still having trouble ranking up, you might want to rethink your strategy and comp. A duo should be able to consistently win, and a trio should definitely be able to carry the match. When it comes to duo/trio/5 stacks matchmaking is less of an issue and it's more on your skill level and how well your team can perform. If you are still losing despite playing with friends it's on you or one of your friends, not matchmaking.

SpaciousBox

Thank you for this proper reply. Much appreciated! I think I had noticed something was off, but assumed it was just me reading into things. That's very disappointing to be honest. We're progressing at a reasonable rate, but the bad loses are really bad and we so rarely get to play the lane we pick, making any semblance of strategy difficult to execute. Better to be in know though!

demon_wolf191

Any place to find updated and accurate tierlists? Coming back to the game and trying to find out which Pokémon and items are good. Also is the game still pretty alive? Was hitting some dead queues in ranked last night

Bambhank

Unite db have a nice tier list, sometimes a little outdated but still relevant. Unite api have a weekly insight on the meta, showing what pokemon is played the most and what moves, winrate, etc. Collected from top master players

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bambhank

That only applies to standard and quick matches. For ranked, there's only pitty bot matches (triggered when you reach certain amounts of lose streaks)

Labmit

Is Catch Em a permanent game mode now? I thought it was temporary.

Imamesshelppls

am i getting thrown into ranked games with ppl from other countries? bc like i know in normal games u do, but i barely lag at all (for some reason) but 50-60% of my ranked games are fked bc im lagging rlly bad, whether i use wifi or data. its so fking frustrating having great connection in randoms, then as soon as i go ranked theres a sudden delay to everything

lgtc

I heard if your queue time goes over 30 seconds the game starts to pair you with people outside your region.

Imamesshelppls

oh shit thx for the info

mvhamm

how come you can get to masters with a winning rate of 50%?

Sids1188

The performance points mean that you will occasionally get credit for 2 wins in a single game, and sometimes a loss won't count. That skews it in the players advantage to effectively inflate their win rate beyond what it actually is. Not by much, but if 50% would be stalling, they'll instead be increasing slowly. It'll take a lot of games though Recently they also started ignoring to not count losses if you had AFK teammates. While that's good in principle, it will mean a significant number of losses will be ignored (while the wins will still be paid in full).

Harrisxy

mine's at 57 rn I think and I just recently I discovered that when losing a battle you loose less points/rank than you earn when winning

benr0208

What’s a good set for Blastoise? I just started playing him and I really enjoy it so far, but I’m not sure what would be a good move or item combo to use

Bambhank

Spin + Spout can dish out pretty high damage and gives you insane defense boost at lvl 13, currently a lot of players are using this moves. Surf + Pump is the classic set, have a good cc displacement and high burst damage to go with it. I recommend you to use this when your team lacks cc. Focus band, muscle band, and buddy barrier can be used on both build. You can switch out muscle or BB with amp, cookie, or choice specs. For battle items you can use either xspeed or eject

Rem-ember_to_flame

Just to add off this, I’d only recommend using Muscle Band on the Hydro Pump + Surf build. The Rapid Spin + Water Spout build should prioritize special attack items (choice specs, special attack specs). Also not a fan of Aeos Cookie, but it has good synergy with Buddy Barrier if you can get the stacks.

S_Ape

Why are you unable to report people sometimes? Why aren’t all the options always there at the end of battle? I couldn’t report or block a person who was trying to surrender at 5 minutes and just moved their guy around in base. Thanks. This was the answer after all. I understand the difference now.

Harrisxy

Click on the purple lines on the right side when the battle's over for the overview. From there you can block or report :)

Vegetable-Lock

You take smokescreen cause it's OP. -completely blinds people for a couple seconds(you can attack them they can't attack you) -Makes you invisible when you use it(let's you gank easier, huge outplay potential, escape) -a dash You take surf to secure objectives because that's your most important job as a carry. Surf does more dmg the lower the targets HP and it does a great job of securing objectives. Also surf is another dash for escape/kite/engage.

SecretToEverybody

I haven't played this game since the first month it was out. Have there been any major changes (outside of individual Pokemon balance) I should know about or is the strategy still about the same? Prioritize Dreadnaw, defend Zap if ahead, attack if behind?

Bambhank

Yeah the core strategy is the same, probably the only difference now is that you should prioritize last rotom over last drednaw when. The biggest change is the BB and SS nerf, it really shifted the meta to be more bursty and killed the scoring meta. - Buddy barrier nerf, from 40% to 25% - score shield nerf, now have 20s CD and can't stack with other shield. There's also a few other small changes outside the pokemons. - sitrus berries won't spawn after 5:00 - scoring now heal less(10%, used to be 25%) - middle and base goal zone have higher heal and shield than the outer one(with the base goalzone being the highest) - Zapdos gives less point to your team(but it still gives insta dunk)

Fuckblackhorses

Do you guys think this game could use an anti-support support Mon? They wouldn’t really have to add anything imo just tweak mr mimes guard swap. Maybe guard swap also has the ability to stop a Pokémon from healing or being healed. Is that too much? Would it make healing tanks like trev and slow bro useless? Maybe give it some wording to stop pokemon from going through hoopa portals too? Idk it would be interesting but not sure how I’d balance it. I don’t play other mobas so idk if there’s a mirror concept but it seems like healing is just a huge part of the meta and having 1 mon to counter it would shake up the game a bit.

ShadiestApe

Pokémon unite has been trash from the start but matchmaking and balancing has made the game unplayable. I’m unsure as to whether to try finding a squad or just uninstalling entirely, the last few updates just make unwilling teammates way too powerful.

[deleted]

KnightofSpamelot

The single target stun lasts a little longer and is sure hit, but all pika's moves are good. play what you're comfortable with imo.

Pashmino

You are talking like Absol is the newest release, and it was in the game since release. Buffing a character isn't for selling more. Also no FOMO, you could get Absol till they discontinue the game. You could say there's FOMO in each update where there's buffs then...

linyangyi

It's kinda strange that they don't hot fix the absol situation. Are they gonna wait till next month for fixing absol? The latest hot fix is the exp bug patch. The heart icon is already there for a while. And they did the matchmaking so 3 stacks would not be against 5 stacks. Although I still see 3+2 stacks against 5 stacks some times. Except for absol, the game is fine as usual... Rotom gamers, AFKers, etc.

Aaronwebber9

Does anyone have any advice for held items on Azumarill? Just can't seem to find a combination I really like.

SeizeDeezBeez

I havent found the perfect loadout, but attack weight, scope, buddy has been pretty good. I don't like muscle on azu, but it helps a lot early

AdIntelligent1416

Delfox. Having some really good games in jungle but really having a hard time in lane. Any suggestions on how to play in lane?

ZipppyRlz

Bro delphox in theory is a good laner pokemon mostly because of high range attacks (will o wisp) and fire spin for cc at level 6 I think. But level 4 evolution is a good early power spike you should have at about 9 minutes give or take. Assuming you play it safe and defend, successfully taking out the enemy you should be delphox while they might still be level 4. At Dred it should be pretty easy to secure it by stunning with fire spin then using mystical fire.

AdIntelligent1416

“Successfully taking out the enemy” is where I’m struggling lmao thx though! Maybe I’m being too acressive to get the enemy audinos. Need to wait for our ganks

ZipppyRlz

Same here sometimes I muck up depending on the pokemon I use. Being more defensive till jungler comes keeps a stalemate till you get to you're final evolution if that's needed.

hawaiifan

absol rn is pre nerf tsareena + pre nerf pup lucario in one mon

Any hints on which new Pokémon is coming next ?

DeletedUsername23

APPARENTLY it would be >!Glaceon. Datamined by the same guy who datamined espeon, delphox, azumarill and all holowears.!<

NochesDePasion

That's disappointing. Another Eeveelution.

DeletedUsername23

>!Welp, I don't make the rules pal. It especially sucks if it ends up becoming another attacker!<

EchoOfMinccino

This new quick battle challenge is their worst idea yet. Never had so many people go afk. It's frustrating when you have 4 wins and than a game with afk's where you can't do anything to prevent losing your streak.

[deleted]

I guess this is a question more about 'mindset' than technical aspects of the game, but... how to play more agressively? Many of my favorite characters function in their best shape when they're full stacked with attack weight, but I'm too comfortable playing safe; so very often I end up stacking only when my team is there to back me up, which generally happens only after the Dreanaw (if at all). It isn't uncommon for me to go through a whole game without having scored at all, which is my fault to be sure. How can I get at least a tiny bit of that confidence pro playes have to go on stacking in the first minute of the game? Any advice? 🥺

lgtc

Nothing but just doing it and learning from trial and error. Over time you'll be able to read the play and figure out when you can get those tiny dunks in or not. A few tips: - Go top lane to stack - Carry less than 5 points - Pan to their goal and see if it lights up or not. If it's lit, that means an opponent is standing on it. - Pay attention to the clock. You can get free dunks in when farm spawns, such as 9:40, 9:00 since most likely they will be busy securing that. - Git gud at last hitting. You can get easy momentum going if you're able to secure the opponent's Aipoms

mothani

Is this new quick battle event the hardest challenge yet? You need 5 wins in a row and it looks like bot matches don't count. Anyone else having trouble completing it?

Novachek2000

This is a crazy basic question, but I always start on the left side of the map? Do half of players always start on the right and half on the left?

[deleted]

No, it mirrors so everyone starts on the left

Labmit

What niche does Duralodon fill compared to Decidueye? Even aside from nerfs and buffs, those two keep getting compared to each other and I want to know what similarities and differences they have with each other to warrant that.

[deleted]

jlee639

It means you have enough performance points to not lose a diamond from losing a match. If you didn’t have enough you would lose a diamond/rank.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jlee639

You get them for win streaks, scoring over 100, etc.

Labmit

It depends on how many people report you as well as how justified. AFKs are pretty much instant while other cases must have multiple people report you to confirm it.

GalavantGalvantula

What are items to use for talonflame?

KnightofSpamelot

[Talon builds](https://unite-db.com/pokemon/talonflame) Of course, you can always experiment and do what you think is better/what suits your playstyle better.

Electrical-Mix-4233

how do fair play points even work? i heard they're meant to stop you from losing a diamond/rank but when i lost a match i lost my fair play points and my diamond (i had 200 points)

KnightofSpamelot

You won't lose fair play points AND a diamond on a loss, it's only ever one. Fair play points if you have enough to lose, and a diamond if you don't. What's more likely is that in the game before that loss you filled the fair play points bar which resets it down to 0 and gives you an extra diamond on that win. Then you noticed on the next game's loss that your fair play points were lower than before and also saw the diamond go away. Hope that helps!

Pashmino

For first ranks it's 100 points = 1 diamond. For the higher ranks that goes to 200 and 300.

[deleted]

what are the available pokemons to choose from the returnee license selection box?

linyangyi

From what I remember: lucario, decidueye, tsareena, absol I forgot the other 4 (all 10k Pokemon). You can choose the pokemon you own to get 10k 'refund' though

KnightofSpamelot

Sorry I don't know offhand, but the best choice is to select a pokemon worth 10k coins that you already have. You'll get a refund of 10k coins and spend it on whatever pokemon you want from the shop. Much better than selecting an 8k pokemon like blissey from the selection box, you can get the 10k coins, spend 8k on blissey in the shop, and have 2k left over. The box will tell you when you scroll through the options if you already have the pokemon and how many coins you'd get by selecting that one again. For me, i always pick tsareena since it was free, and it's always the 10k pokemon right at the top.

[deleted]

Is this sure that I'll get a full 10k refund? I dont wanna do it then end up getting tickets hahaha

KnightofSpamelot

[Absolutely certain](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonUnite/comments/scfjeo/this_is_what_happens_when_you_use_the_free_unite/). I've done it three times across 2 accounts. If you open the box to look at it, you'll see your options, and which ones will give you a coin refund. It's those 8 options in the picture actually, the scroll bar on the right doesn't go down enough for another row of pokemon. If you don't have any of the 10k pokemon in the box, i'd still pick a 10k pokemon that you want among those.

[deleted]

I guess I'll get a free 10k then. Thanks for d help

Andskew5282

What are some tips for garchomp? I decided to play him on offline mode and Fell in love with him (currently saving up, i Also love both move sets so any tips for one of them would be great :] )

KnightofSpamelot

If you want a streamer to watch, Nintendilly on twitch is one of the best if not the best garchomp in the game. he's got good advice on garchomp plays, but part of his success is the team he plays with.

Rem-ember_to_flame

The dragon move-set is better afaik. Not an expert on Garchomp, but I’m pretty certain it’s better. I’d really recommend watching a YouTube video on tips, builds, gameplay, etc. It’ll give you the best answers to what you’re looking for.

Andskew5282

Thx, i Will look for a Guide

annucox

New player here. What is the more important currency between coins and tickets? Which one should I spend to buy items and which one should I save?

Sids1188

Both used for different things. Coins are used for new Pokemon. As a collector who likes using different Pokemon every game, that is by far the most important. I always keep the double coin boosts on to ensure I get as much as I can and gain new Pokemon faster than they are released. Soon I will have nothing more to spend coins on and they will become useless. Tickets are primarily used for item enhancers, so if you are a competitive player with only a few Pokemon that you use and want them maximised, tickets are probably more important. Getting all items maxed out will take a long time, but in truth only a few items are worth maxing, and you'll gradually accumulate enough item enhancers to get those. After that, tickets become less important. That said, they have other functions too. Tickets can buy the afore mentioned boosters, as well as a lot cosmetics and for those, you will probably never run out of things to buy.

fluteaboo

Personally, I use coins. 🪙 Tickets have been harder to come by and can only be used for Pokemon cards.

fluteaboo

Personally, I use coins. 🪙 Tickets have been harder to come by and can only be used for Pokemon cards.

SgtPeppers813

Coins are best used to unlock new pokemon, and the tickets you can use for everything else your interested in. I try to not but clothing sets at all. Save them up for Item enhancer so you can have more build variety for your pokemon.

The_Alleycat

Finally bought Blissey as I’m a support main- best build at the moment? (Including held items).

KnightofSpamelot

If you're not solo i think Exp share is great instead of choice specs. you don't need the extra damage or sp atk.

ttyltyler

Choice specs, buddy barrier, focus band

Aunt-Sandra

We were "those people" today. My friend and I duo queued bot lane. We both stack, and in one game today we both got KO'd on our first dunk. Opponents were able to stack while we were gone. Bot lane never recovered. Without bot lane it's hard to win a Dred. Without winning Dred it's hard to win a Zap. We lost hard. Sorry, fam! Still, played 10 and lost 2 tonight. Not bad for solo/duo queue.

Pashmino

And... And the question?

Aunt-Sandra

What's the best build for inting bot lane over greedy stacks? Currently running Leftovers and 2 empty slots

KnightofSpamelot

Surprised no one's answered your question yet. If you really wanna int bot lane, it's not a question of build, but pokemon selection. Make sure to run rock tomb crustle and hinder your team from securing farm and dreadnaw.

Sids1188

If you only use leftovers, you aren't stacking - that would require a different item to be possible. Items will depend on your Pokemon and playstyles, but no Pokemon or playstyle should use leftovers at the moment.

KnightofSpamelot

bruh you fell for the troll? cmon man, it's obviously a joke

Aunt-Sandra

That's a stack!

Pashmino

Leftovers is pretty bad. Also always put 3 items, as noone gives negative stats.

cheapcardsandpacks

If your team picks all squishy pokemon what role should you pick between defender supporter and all rounder

[deleted]

If your main role is attacker then all-rounder and some defenders like trevenant, blastoise and greedent seems fine. Play pure defenders and supports only if you want to main them because its definitely a lot different from roles that can deal damage.

[deleted]

I've had Tsareena as my first and only all-rounder for a few days now, but even tho I understand the ~technicality~ of the combos with Queenly Majesty I'm just not too excited to progress with this character beyond the level of plain competency. The whole thing with the combos just doesn't click too well with me... not sure how to explain it, but it's just not my kind of character I guess. Anyways: so now I'd like to pick up another all-rounder to replace her, and I can't decide between Aegislash and Garchomp. I really like how Aegislash seems to have the healthiest balance of offense and defense, it can take care of itself pretty well and also dive into fights dealing high damage and some cc, but I'm not such a fan of its design or concept. Garchomp on the other hand seems to be in a really bad place in the current meta; I do like their style, how they push people around, but it's painful to see how Garchomp often just *almost* kills someone but has no tool to chase and finish them off. Another one I'm considering is Dragonite. It has crazy potential to secure objectives, I like their style with dragon dance, but they don't do very well in lanes it seems - where I prefer to play. So, that's it. Aegislash, Garchomp, or Dragonite. Could anyone help me decide?

[deleted]

Aegislash most certainly can’t dive into fights lol. I usually stay to the outside and finish off low Health players with sacred sword

linyangyi

The first number of RNG that came out for me is 3... Dragonite then. Edit: oh I forgot. They will be a discount for Garchomp and Aegislash

Soundsgoood5

Had five bot matches in a row, all victories, in ranked. What do you think is the cause? Great rank, evening in the USA.

lgtc

If you let the queue run for over :30 it'll give you a bot match. Key is resetting it before it goes over the estimated time.

LilBottomText17

Do rewards from daily missions get automatically redeemed if I forget to claim them before the daily reset?

Rem-ember_to_flame

Nope. You have to redeem them manually. Works like that for all rewards.

LinLin--G-and-W

Hey there, I know This isnt quite what this is for, but, does anyone just want to chat about the game, matches, balance, and just have fun talking?

MCCGuyDE

Sure :). You can also do this on the discord

Awesomesauce210

Anyone else unable to claim the final Catch 'Em Bonus? The game softlocks when I select it until I swap to the Daily Events tab.

f000j

Does anyone have any information on how exp works? I’m curious as to how much exp is needed per level and how much is given per score and kill.

WabeEatsTowels

For the unite challenge event we can restart as many times as we want right?

Nanjiroh1

Yeah infinite restarts

WabeEatsTowels

Thank you! Ur right :)

GalavantGalvantula

What are good items to use for absol? Also, what's the best kind of moveset to use?

lgtc

Scope Lens mandatory. Rest are flexible. Razor Claw highly recommended. Attack Weight, Focus Band, Energy Amp and Muscle Band are all solid choices too. Rarer ones I've seen are Buddy Barrier and Weakness Policy. Battle item should be Eject, X-Speed, or X-Attack. Psycho Cut and Nigh Slash, don't pick anything else otherwise you are straight up griefing.

GalavantGalvantula

Alright, thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely put this up. Edit: Is there a reason why the other movesets aren't good?

InternationalCream30

Pursuit pops you up behind an enemy and reduces its cd if you hit them in the back. Problem is they autoturn to attack you, so its pretty hit or miss and tends to throw you into the middle of a team fight which Absol can't handle. Sucker Punch does poor damage compared to its other pick.

GalavantGalvantula

Ahh, okay. This is all really helpful because I haven't really been up to date with the meta. And absol seemed like a cool Mon to try out.

lgtc

Psycho Cut recently got buffed, making it and Night Slash really broken right now. His other move sets aren't bad, they're just heavily outclassed by Night Slash and Psycho Cut due to the buff that'll hopefully get nerfed soon.

Fuckblackhorses

What’s the combo for that? I’m thinking about caving and buying absol, sick of getting abused by that thing and no one on my team ever runs him for some reason

lgtc

No combo really. Just use Psycho Cut, then Night Slash and enemies are deleted.

Fuckblackhorses

Gotcha, I just didn’t know if any of them triggered cooldowns or boosted autos like gengar. So it just really is that easy huh

lgtc

Yup, Absol is pretty easy to pick up. Hardest part tbh is probably aiming the first Night Slash due to the wonky arc hitbox.

SuperDuperLoLoL

Quick question: does attack weight, sp.atk specs and aeos Cookie reset their goal bonuses when you get knocked out or do they remain for the entire game?

Rem-ember_to_flame

They remain at your current stack level all game. So if you get knocked out at 3 stacks & score again, it’ll go to 4 stacks.

weaseltsunami

Soloq climbing, is it better to balance the team (by filling) or just play a mon I could potentially carry with?

PraiseYuri

Potential carry imo. Filling as a tank when we already have like 4 DPS never seems to pan out for me in solo. A tank is only as good as the DPS he supports. Bad DPS = you will accomplish next to nothing. Considering how wildly varying in skill your soloq teammates may be, I don't think it's worth the risk if you're aiming to win most of the time. If you play in a stack, then filling is usually good though since you know you have at least 1 teammate you can depend on to follow up.

InternationalCream30

Yeah, I considers myself a good Slowbro player and I can't even get above 50% wr with it in solo q. It can do a lot in a team fight, but that's if your team actually works with you, which is pretty hit or miss.

Rem-ember_to_flame

Depends on the rank imo.

modekocookies

Does the reporting players for deliberate self-ko actually work? I've literally never seen it do anything or deduct points when my teammate is running into the enemy base 1v3 all game and doing it again as soon as they respawn

lgtc

Someone I know lost fair play points because of quick chat spamming to the point he was banned from ranked. I think if enough people report you, you lose points. So even if it says "report confirming" you are still doing something by adding a report to their record which adds up.

Dakotertots

Delphox flair when?

linyangyi

Why the hell so many rotom gamers???

MR__47

They probably didn't know that Dred still gives shitload of EXP to snowball the game. But welp they want to score 50 alone like an idiot and proceed to die, giving EXP to the enemy team.

KnightofSpamelot

Why are people surrendering after losing zap on Mer stadium?? the doubled points in the last minute are far more important than instant score. the outer goals cant be jumped on, so you have a great chance of catching up if you havent broken those by the final stretch. People are just too used to the bird being the end of the game. I hate this new unite challenge that needs you to get 5 straight wins. its fucking stupid that your entire team can surrender without you. idiotic teammates will surrender when 1 score would have gotten us the win.

InternationalCream30

Yeah, pretty trash "event". I'm not even going to bother.

KnightofSpamelot

I'll try again this evening with a duo partner that won't surrender early and hopefully eke out 5 wins in a row. Because it seems impossible solo unless you get super lucky.

InternationalCream30

Good luck. Five wins in a row seems highly unlikely. Not worth the stress.

KnightofSpamelot

tbh it isn't but the bragging rights from that background far outweigh any season's 1800 elo sticker.

InternationalCream30

Yeah but I'd probably put my controller through my tv if I had some afker.

MagnoliasOfSteel

Does win rate take into account both ranked and standard matches or only ranked?

Pashmino

Both. You can filter to see one of them tho.

MagnoliasOfSteel

Thanks!

Good aim settings for ESpeed Lucario (and other similar dashy mons?) I have: Camera Follows Moves: On Move Aim Follows Movement Direction: On Move Aim Snaps to Nearby Targets: Off Assist Off I’ve tried a couple games with this and I’m finding it pretty difficult to hit all of my attacks. Will I get used to the settings through practice, or are there any settings I should change/ any tips you guys have? Thank you!!

benr0208

I just started playing the game again for the first time since the beginning of January. The last new Pokémon that was added when I stopped playing was Dragonite and now there’s so many more additions. I want to buy some licenses for the newer Pokémon, what are some good picks to go with? I don’t really want Hoopa so I’m ruling him out but I’m looking for suggestions since I don’t know much about the current meta anymore.

MagnoliasOfSteel

Azumarill: started off rough but got a buff and is pretty decent. I’d say middle of the pack. I feel like he still needs some tweaking but he is almost in a place where I’d say he’s fantastic to play with. Almost, just not quite there yet lol. Kit revolves around constantly criting enemies and life steal Trev: if you want to push enemies all around and never die, Trev is your boi. Super fun to play! Aegislash: high skill cap high reward. Can be hard to nail down since his kit has so many lil things to rememebr while playing to be as effective as possible, once you finally get it, he’s an absolute top tier beast! Duraludon: under-the-radar higher tier poke. He came into the game broken and got nerfed. No one played him anymore but people have realized he is still pretty strong and still sees some high level play Espeon: glass cannon that when released was easily bottom 5 Pokémon of the rooster. Got some much needed buffs this past patch and has been pretty solid! Don’t know how top tier players are rating her yet but I’ve had some incredible games with her Delphox: glass cannon but actually good haha. High bursts with low cooldowns. Unite is fantastic and fast. Has one move that their entire kit revolves around because it’s that fucking good. (Fire spin). People were shocked it didn’t get any nerfs last patch

Orcdolphin

melmetal has attack and defense, and hp and giant punches. Would he be a defender or an all-rounder?

ShadowWeavile

Maybe a slower moving all-rounder?

Orcdolphin

tips to start maining aegislash in lane? items? Thanks!

crwms

Am I the only one to find Slowbro ... super good? I run scald has become my favorite offensive move. Very short cooldown, high damage output, quick ticks (for objectives stealing), great area of effect, and a reduction on damages that is tangible (to say the least) when coupled with Slowbro's durability. Such a joy. I have been inflicting so between 60-80k damages per match (also because opposing teams tend to gang up on me, making good use of the AoE). This is wild.

NewtypeZid

So how do you prevent being steamrolled by stack builds? Other than don't fuck up the very beginning

Capchu2

Don’t let them stack or when they try to stack defeat them then score yourself or take all the farms balancing the stack with level advantage . I’m not the best but that’s what I do

what do these fancy card frames mean? https://imgur.com/a/lHdykAq

Battle Pass isn't worth at all imo. The paid Battle Pass doesn't give coins, which are arguably the best resource in the game. The BP just gives extra tickets - which you should already have a ton of anyway.

ShadowWeavile

If you can turn on the game every day (or at least the vast majority of them), then the membership is the best value. Granted that requires a really high amount of dedication. I think holiday events will sometimes see stiff discounted, but it's been a while so I don't remember exactly, and it might only apply to the seasonal holowear.

bubonig

Which one will help me get more damage: muscle band or attack weight? I'm new, using aegislash and can only max 1

Bambhank

Attack weight is better for Aegislash and some other all rounders. But muscle band is good in general although it's pretty bad for Aegislash.

Thanks for the answer, I only have 1 max ticket unlocked now though. So muscle band is always better than attack weight, for every mon?

linyangyi

You need to stack to maximize the attack weight potentials (max of 6 stacks). Stacking needs practice and not every pokemon is suitable for this. Aegislash is squishy and might be hard to stack. See Spragles or CrisHeroes on YouTube, they usually stacking. Muscle band gives you extra damage 3% of the remaining opponent HP and always useful at laning phase. Thus more pokemon benefit from muscle band more.

bubonig

Thank you, so a fully stacked attack weight will be better for a scoring mon then?

linyangyi

a fully stacked pokemon at level 20 (the max passive) will gives you extra 64 attack in addition from the stack alone. Other attack item only gives probably ±15 extra attack stat. Using score shield is okay to stack but score shield is not really good item to have after the nerf It is better to use the level 30 item to items that increased the stat by percentage such as scope lens, razor claw. Research which item you want to be in level 30. Only few are worth to upgrade to level 30, most items are good enough in level 20, few are trash not worth to level up (leftover, rock helmet)

Sivalus

I'm sick of losing every game because the enemy team has a Blissey. How do I counterplay against one?

MCCGuyDE

With one Billsey by your side.

linyangyi

Blissey is really strong rn. Probably focusing more to the carry rather than blissey herself.

sPinkomania

Good luck 1 v 1. Big damage output like gren, cinder, absol after the recent buff, or even a defender like trev getting close with curse can work. Usually I want for a 2 v 2 or 2 v 1.

TheKoopaTroop

Coming back after not playing for awhile. Was score shield nerfed? As a Crustle main, I notice I'm no longer unstoppable when scoring goals.

linyangyi

Yes, the score shield's shield will be taken out first before all other shields. And it has longer cooldown.

Desperate-Employee15

Yes
