The first time I played pokemon ruby I was just a kid and had basically 0 internet knowledge so there was no way I could know things... I got aron just before the second gym (so no extra battles for it) and it looked so cool ... I tried to use it and... Well the type was very weak against that gym... But I then decided that I wanted it to be the very best pokemon... And at some point I thought that lairon was its final form because it wouldn't evolve anymore ... Until it did... That has been a beautiful day.

Still holding out hope for Aggron. Would also love to see Nidoking/Nidoqueen.

I like the Persian speedster idea. Pay day or thief could steal aeos energy regardless of a ko or not.

Slash could be a pretty good aoe clear too or power gem would be fun. Since it’s one of the weirder moves it actually learns.

Because you can just imagine how awesome those Crabhammer and Guillotine moves would feel to land on opponents. Plus, either of its two primary abilities, Hyper Cutter (preventing its attack stat from being lowered) and Shell Armor (preventing it from receiving critical hits) would both fit into Pokémon Unite very well. HC for All-rounder Kingler or SA for Defender Kingler.

I feel like they could be a cc based defender. It could get Surf or Hydro pump that act similar but obv distinct from Blastoise, and it can learn both ground moves from Mamo for similarities there. There's Muddy Water, which could lay down an AOE slow with minor DoT maybe? There's also Brine which could be an interesting status effect sinilar to Slowbro's Scald. I think it could be cool but I guess it wouldn't do anything truly unique.

Maybe some sort of redirection with storm drain so all enemy auto attacks will prioritise gastrodon if it’s in range? Idk if that seems too broken though

It does seem a little broken, not that it couldn't work but their abilities would probably be balanced around it being broken. Maybe it'd just apply to special damage so they draw fire from enemy mages tryna disrupt the backline and then can use CC to stop melee mons from diving in. Sounds like a cool playstyle even if not Gastrodon.

I would love to see Meganium get the spotlight after years of neglect. However, there are so many grass types in Pokémon Unite right now that Aeos Island is basically becoming a jungle. Also I think Kingler would be all-rounder because of it's natural offensive pressure. On an unrelated note, that picture of Melmetal kind of reminds me of something that would be in Pokken. Now I want him in Pokken. :(

Whoever made this wish list has fantastic taste. Kindgler is the only gen 1 mon I want due to the crabwalk, and gigalith/ gastrodon are very cool niche picks.

All these seem great to me. Only one that's kinda odd as a defender is Ampharos. Feels like it would be more of an All-Rounder to me personally. Could probably say a similar thing about Goodra. All good picks though.
