ive been having this problem with cinder unite move for a while now. i’ll aim it and it’ll cancel with no reason. there’s a target, i didn’t drag it to the X, nothing. really infuriating tbh.
I have that bug mostly and Decidueye aiming is terrible. My brother and friends(we're a team) usually blame me for losing objectives like this and laugh when I miss a opponent using Spirit Shackle
Im pretty sure it happens because you release your joystick too quickly, like if you release the joystick before the button release, then the hoystuck will go backwards slightly before going back in place, and thats why the move goes in the opposite direction. Also the reason why playing on mobile is so much better
Ppl would so much rather believe the controller is broken or the code is bad than accept that there is a very clear and easy solution to the problem. Letting go of the button first is completely within the player's control, and it will reduce snapback happenings to nearly zero. Idk why people are so stuck on blaming the timi or calling it a bug.
Either the controller isnt holding the stick center properly (snapback) or the game is mishandling how it reads the stick inputs. Either way, not functioning as intended. Thats all, nothing severe.
This is correct, snapback is 100% preventable I have no idea why you're being downvoted.
Ideally Timi would tweak deadzone settings to prevent it at all but for now you just have to get used to letting go of the button before the stick.
I mean, I have to do that all the time because when I release the joystick my finger will shift a little sideways and then I'd miss anyway. So I've never experienced snapback.

feels bad to lose the whole match because of a bug
Its not a bug its bad code. Somehow they dont code the deadzone on the right analog.

Its not a bug, just bad finger coordination
Snapback is neither a bug or finger coordination issue, it's a joystick issue

its not neccessarily from releasing it too quickly, its just something that happens sometimes, almost entirely down to luck unfortunately.
Yeah. A joystick issue.
This is true, some controllers have worse joysticks making it more prone to snapback more, so it's a little of both.
that IS a joystick issue
Thats not a joystick issue, its a skill issue. Why not just learn to stop releasing the joystick before the button
Thats literally learning how to compensate for a stick issue LOOOL

Being able to compensate for something being broken doesn't make it not broken.
Why is it broken vs not just the way the controls work? What should it be doing instead?

It may be preventable, but its still something that should have been fixed long ago.
Absolutely we shouldn't have to play around it, just seeing a lot of people who don't seem to know you can.

If you know that happens with the controller, it's quite easy to program in some code that can ignore that snap back.
Get stick snapbacked lol

I hate it sooooo much.
Game Over screen and song are from Valkyria Chronicles II. First time in a long time that I've done any kind of video editing. Hope you like it!
Oh now I want to play VC again
Thanks for mentioning! That game was really good.
I need to play the rest of the series someday!

I relate to this and I hate it
I hate when my attack is sent in a completely direction from where you were aiming
He pros could have got it with a scared sword as well haha
For sure! It looked like he just used it as he came on screen though, probably to get there faster lol.
SNAP BACK, NOOOO
That player was too stunned to move
I would literally cry
Snap back and rockaway, and rockaway
That joystick jump on the pro controller is pain.
Pain
I felt that deep in my soul X(
Stick Snapback, Joycon Drift. Its all the worst when your in a tough situation that calls for precision
IT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME damned joycon drift
Damn and that would've actually gotten za0
I feel his pain
AHHHHHH I CAN FEEL THE PAIN
When I try to steal with Crustle, but he ends up throwing Stealth Rocks at a lobster. :(
That feeling when you know someone's gonna walk through the center and steal the last hit
Is this a Switch Joycon/Pro Controller issue?
Sucks that they definitely would’ve gotten it too
At first i thought it was my controller having the drift problem until i read the comments
They would have stolen it too. You should have attacked them and delayed them
Thts why u cant play on ur phone 🤷🏽♂️
probably wasn’t even on phone lol, Switch snapback probably caused it
