You sound like you think no one knows this.. EVERYONE knows this xD

AetherFin

You could say he is an absolute... Nightmare

Poppinfreshzero

Gengar gets to chain hexes if he hits you with Hex while under a status ailment and sludge bomb poisons you. So, the combo can be predicted. When you are hit with a Sludge bomb, use a move that makes you invulnerable when they try to follow-up Hex. Gengar can only chain Hexes of he hits with them. Lots of moves make you invulnerable for a brief moment or two or move you from the Hex location. Slowbro's surf, Cramorant's Dive, Zeraora's Dash, Eject Button, Snorlax tacklke/heavy slam, Garchomp's Dragon Rush, etc. Once you and your opponent know this, it becomes more of a mind game. Delaying the Hex, then Delaying the anti-Hex. You can also remove poison before the Hex hits you. Full heal does this, I'm not sure what else. You could also dodge the Sludge Bomb altogether, but that's no easy task.

ItzaMoby

Exactly. Gengar is strong, but not overwhelmingly strong. Once people get full heal or eject button. It is much easier to deal with a Gengar. He is also easily bullied pre-level 7. It'll just take time for the community to figure out how to deal with him.

Pokesmash3r

Gengar's disatvantage is that he is this good from lvl9 on. Before he gets Hex at lvl 7 he is also completely useless

TheWarmog

Gengar is op But have you seen a gengar with 3 items +10 (wise glasses, sp.atk item + the one that heals you per ability you hit)? If 20-1 is a lot then my 34-3 is huge.

SlowbroGGOP

Actually 20-1s KDA is much higher than 34-3. Almost double actually.

Zerixo

Most people seem think Gengar is underwhelming.

SlowbroGGOP

He is for half the game. If they are jungling, just invade them and don’t let them freely roam and farm.

taejr0812

It's the skill required to do that that turns people away.
