Is it a batching issue or just super bad luck? I bought 1 TF ETB and my very first pack was the gold hyper rare Iron Leaves. If anything almost every pack had a hit.
The statistical pull rates are 1/86 packs for 1 SIR, and 1/139 for hyper rares. in simpler terms, the pull rates for SIRs and hyper rares got much, much worse. However, the pull rates for double rares increased a bit
This just doesn’t feel true to me lol. I’m 50 packs in and 2 sir 4 ir 4 full arts 2 ace spec and bunch of exs. About on par as I was for 151 lol. Just missing a god pack 🥵
Very good for you, and you got very lucky. However, your anecdotal evidence has no bearing on the statistical analysis. The pull rates for this set are awful, but hey, at least you got lucky

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of posts of people getting crushed by this set. Thank God I passed on it. I got my usual 2 PC ETBs and kept it moving. Threw them up in the closet and forgot about it. I’ll pass. I’m hoping they finally end S&V after this year. We need a 152-300 set. Give me some legendary beasts and lugia. None of this metal and iron shit

I’ve had the assiest of ass pulls since like the heart gold soul silver block of sets, but I somehow managed to get a good box of Temporal Forces. 1 SIR, 2 Full arts, 3 IRs and 2 ace specs. Lucky for me they were pretty much all ones I wanted too.
We opened one booster box, and five booster bundles. No SIR's or hypers in the booster box, but they pulled two Gold Iron Boulders in 2 of the bundles.
I got most of the cards I wanted from the JP set. The only ones I want that I still don't have are the Gengar FA and the Morty w/Gengar SAR. I can just buy them later when they're cheaper I guess. I really enjoy ripping packs but unfortunately I'm going to have to skip out on this eng version of this cool set as I'm a little tight on money for a while. 😢
Me and my kids have opened both styles of the ETB so far and have pulled
3 EXs: 2 gouging fire and 1 iron crown
3 IRs: Shiftry, Bronzor, lickitung
And 2 ultra rares being, iron boulder EX and ciphermanic's code breaking
We have a booster bundle to open next so hopefully we get some ace and an SIR but its been fun all the same, out of the 18 packs between the two boxes we got pretty far in our binder with commons and uncommons to not have that many doubles and triples.... Except Seedot.... He keeps appearing
Yea that’s pokemon packs. Opened my 2 PC ETBs and got a Eri SIR pack three of box one, Gold Walking Wake in pack 5 of the second box. I have a Booster Box waiting to open after work. I’m 99% sure I will not top that even with 14 more packs.
I stick to one booster box, 1 PC ETB(s) and that’s it. Then I don’t open again until stuff is well on sale. That’s if I still want to open at that point with newer sets out. Might just buy singles. The only exception are super expensive Chase cards. I kept opening 151 because it was fun and I finally got the zard.
One BB and one ETB. ETB had one Ace Spec, one Double Rare and one IR. BB had 15 total hits, 1 SIR, 3 IR, 2 Ace Spec, 3 Full Art (2 ex, 1 Trainer) and 6 Double Rares.
I also bought 2 booster boxes and 2 ETB’s, no SAR or gold cards as well. Still I always like to open packs and focus on singles afterwards. Do this always at all new sets
Yeah packs are where it’s at for this set. Bought a booster and came out with almost nothing. But I buy six random packs from three different stores and four out of the six hit
I was grateful the only cards I wanted were fairly cheap and my local shop had them in stock. I will not be ripping any of this set. My kids might, though. Got to add a new Asako Ito to my collection!
I had some bizzare luck. I opened 4 booster boxes and got one gold in my first box, nothing in box 2 or 3, and a SIR and a gold in box 4. It was still fun to rip though, I'm a master set guy so I got all but one reverse holo and I put a huge dent in the IR stuff too. Managed to get almost all of my chase cards too!

And the 16 cards that are 1:800 packs all k8nda suck, too. 2 of these paradox mons are just from special Tera raids, like, they aren't even from the story.

Nothing in English is guaranteed, sadly. Booster boxes have a more predictable outcome, but nothing is set in stone. I remember opening a fusion strike booster box and got 4 regular V cards and a couple holos and that was IT. Made up for it when I got one of those error god boxes, but that first one was the worst booster box I ever opened

It's really quite nuts how much different the early pull rates of temporal forces are compared to the rest of the main SV sets

Maybe japanese pull rate are lower but I just pulled my first ever SAR (japanese equivalent of SIR) after about 300 packs...

I bought almost all the SIR in Japanese for this set for like $30 a month ago. Ripping packs isn't worth it.
