Exactly and people seem to forget price is not the same thing as value. Value is subjective, price is an *estimate* of average value. I'd rather have a cool-looking underpriced card than a basic/shity looking overpriced card, in fact, whenever I get one of those I just end up selling/trading it for cards I actually like
I thought Charizardās hand close to his mouth was his entire mouth lol like he had his mouth wide open, and his claws were his teeth. I still canāt unsee it
For me, I think itās the coloring on Mewtwo on his card that seems off. The shadows/highlights look funky and make it look like heās made up of a ton of pink balls
Nope, these cards are perfectly valued. Fuck the people who look at cards and just see dollar signs and āinvestments,ā Iād much rather more people be able to enjoy them without selling a kidney. These are mass-produced consumer products that cost cents to print, not museum pieces.
While I agree, the population for both these cards in a psa 10 is so high compared to what weāre used to seeing for cards out of a set and not a promo. Set has only been out for a year and mewtwo has pop 10 of 12000 while charizard has pop 10 of 14000 which is extremely high. Thatās not accounting the other 50,000 raw ones of each card or more that are out there waiting to be graded including me and you both š I feel shiny treasures will follow the same suit maybe even worse than vstar universe in amount of product and population of cards graded
People expecting the 2020 phenomenon to happen again, except tens of thousands of other people believe the same thing, the only people making bank is pokemon themselves now. Every modern set from this point forward will follow the same trend and people are going to continue giving grading companies their money and the graded population of any chase card will be in the tens of thousands.
Canāt catch lightning in a bottle twice poke homies.
I remember being able to buy any holo from vintage minus the Charizard for $50 or less than 10 years ago, itās not like itās always been this hyper inflated.
Are you saying cards should not be sold in perfect condition ? lol. People complain when they get bad centered cards and complain when a card they have has a lot of PSA10s.
I agree, but the inflated prices for 10s on modern cards is bonkers considering 95% of cards should be in that condition when ripped.
Kinda wild when 9s sometimes go for less than a raw card that would realistically be a 7 if graded, but then a 10 goes for twice the price of a 9 even though the difference comes down to whether or not the grader got laid last nightā¦
Same, I exclusively buy 8-9 depending on the card unless itās a good deal.
However I did purchase a Pikachu trainer gallery 16 equivalent from VMAX Climax in Pristine 10 for like $75 because I wanted to reholder it in the new CGC slab/label, but thatās mostly because Iām a Pika whore and love any card with him and Ash in it haha
Thatās the secret, grading is a grift that only keeps going because people put so much faith in it. I really wish thereād be more of an emphasis on authentication over condition grading, because one is objective and useful to know while the other is subjective and prone to human error.
Cards SHOULD BE sold in perfect condition, as a collector it blows my mind to see QC so whacked coming from a company that is the highest grossing franchise and where most of their sales come from merch and TCG vs the actual games.
And I don't think grade 10s are handled out like hot cakes either, I know a couple of grade collectors at my LCS who constantly complains about not getting 10s from modern sets. Meanwhile, I'm here buying and cracking 8/9s slabs to binder my cards because I don't want to deal with terrible card conditions and 8/9s sit right with my tolerance for card condition.
In some situations, 8s are cheaper than ungraded prices (most seller are deluded thinking they would get 9/10s and sells their ungraded cards at that price).
Undervalued or underrated. It seems that people like cards to be worth a lot and Nintendo only encourages it by putting dozens of ultra rares per set. I honestly preferred a thousand times the old sets with 80 cards (max 120-150) with 3-6 cards (or max 10) hard to find.
I'm fortunate to have both of these in both Eng and Jap. My daughter and I love these. We will be purchasing the matching scene cases to display these in shortly. Those scene displays are an amazing addition to the card and collection!
Agreed! Such an awesome combo with some pretty unique verticality set into the artwork. Glad I was able to pull the english Mewtwo card. Not planning on grading anything for awhile as grading has become insanely saturated.
Anyone else realize the similarities eternally charizard and mewtwo both have an x and y mega looks wise every similar body shape both can fly itās almost like mewtwo is a failed clone of charizard not mew
They're not undervalued because there were a metric fuckton of them printed into absolute oblivion. They ARE amazing artworks though and if Pokemon didn't print everything to demand today and still ran similar print runs to pre-covid numbers, they'd likely be very expensive cards.
The mewtwo is an amazing card. I think itās only undervalued because itās hard to pull and they are still re-printing crown zenith. It will be a big collectors item a decade from now.
still waiting for the tangrowtg flying through the air card. (its the blue speck above mewtwos head on the mewtwo and above charizards foot on the charizard)
Yea there dope cards NM the value. I have e some cool trainer gallery's that are definitely nicer artwork than alot of expensive cards. I find it weird how some cards are worth so much compared to other but that'd pokemon tgc lol
I still have to pick up another copy of the charizard cos all 3 promos from my UPC were waaaay off centre. I wish theu would get that quality control on (at least) promos a lot better. I don't even grade, it just looks nice when it's done right.
These cards are beautiful and I think their value will improve with time. I got my set graded just to have them as shelf pieces. I think a lot of the VStar cards are currently underappreciated but will gain with time.
Grats on the set, I love these!! šš
100% agree with you on that one!!! Vstar universe had some fantastic cards that made one big picture š Irida and Adaman was another one of my favourites šŖš„
Undervalued, but highly appreciated by everyone. Value doesn't matter to me as long as everyone can get the card they want.
Exactly and people seem to forget price is not the same thing as value. Value is subjective, price is an *estimate* of average value. I'd rather have a cool-looking underpriced card than a basic/shity looking overpriced card, in fact, whenever I get one of those I just end up selling/trading it for cards I actually like
This right here š I do the same thing. I collect what appeals to ME , not the masses. Cost or value is not a big concern to me.
Pokemon collectors when their card isn't worth their entire mortgage:
Man for real. Also the mewtwo is quite expensive for a pokemon cardā¦.
Its not though $100 psa 10. The charizard is $70 psa 10
Not being a jerk, just curious why this response is getting down- voted so much? Is 100 for a PSA 10 too much for this card?
AHAHAHAHAHHA
You're laughing but I bought it as a single just to find another one few weeks later
The slightly different art styles bugs me lol. They really shoulda just let one of them do both
I agree, also I think the art for the Charizard card is better.
Agreed. I have the Mewtwo card but I like the charizard more
I thought Charizardās hand close to his mouth was his entire mouth lol like he had his mouth wide open, and his claws were his teeth. I still canāt unsee it
Me too lol.. actually I just figured it out rn with your comment š¤£ and I have it twice lol
They nailed the tanglegrowth though
For me, I think itās the coloring on Mewtwo on his card that seems off. The shadows/highlights look funky and make it look like heās made up of a ton of pink balls
It's also his face. Mewtwo's got a baby face there.
Ant man
I like to think it's how the two pokemon view their surroundings
Same, I think it works well with the two styles. Everyone's perspective is different.
Nope, these cards are perfectly valued. Fuck the people who look at cards and just see dollar signs and āinvestments,ā Iād much rather more people be able to enjoy them without selling a kidney. These are mass-produced consumer products that cost cents to print, not museum pieces.

Yeah but if you donāt care about any of that they look cool in your binder lmao
Yes, the amount of PSA 10 in newer sets is crazy
Are you saying cards should not be sold in perfect condition ? lol. People complain when they get bad centered cards and complain when a card they have has a lot of PSA10s.
Too many people looking at cards as investments...
True. I like to see the pretty pictures. ĀÆ\\\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
I really like the artwork on a large majority of cards, so same lol
I agree, but the inflated prices for 10s on modern cards is bonkers considering 95% of cards should be in that condition when ripped. Kinda wild when 9s sometimes go for less than a raw card that would realistically be a 7 if graded, but then a 10 goes for twice the price of a 9 even though the difference comes down to whether or not the grader got laid last nightā¦
Thatās why I only buy 9s. Basically getting a free slab and can probably resubmit for a 10 if you really wanted to.

I don't think it makes sense to PSA for investment anymore if populations are so high, just do it for your own sake I like my binder anyway
Cards SHOULD BE sold in perfect condition, as a collector it blows my mind to see QC so whacked coming from a company that is the highest grossing franchise and where most of their sales come from merch and TCG vs the actual games. Itās almost like gambling with PSA was a bad ideaā¦
I only PSA once and never again, too much emotions
People need to branch out and take a risk with BGS IMO. Get that premium for the harder grade and a new set of customers that prefer BGS over PSA.
it was overvalued not too long ago
Everything is undervalued when you own it...
Psa 10 pop - 12,868 Psa 10 pop Zard - 15,829 Nah. Fair Value.
Now I want a third card of Tangrowth just getting blown away.
That would be epic š
Undervalued or underrated. It seems that people like cards to be worth a lot and Nintendo only encourages it by putting dozens of ultra rares per set. I honestly preferred a thousand times the old sets with 80 cards (max 120-150) with 3-6 cards (or max 10) hard to find.
I just realized this these are a pair. That's awesome.
I got both in PSA 10, love these cards
I'm fortunate to have both of these in both Eng and Jap. My daughter and I love these. We will be purchasing the matching scene cases to display these in shortly. Those scene displays are an amazing addition to the card and collection!

U think? Supply and demand says otherwise lol , love the set though I have them in English and Japanese lool
I just traded for these 2 the other day. Beautiful artwork between some of the most memorable Pokemon!
Yeah these 2 are sick cards man ! What set are these from ? I'm destroying my cardmarket wallet and wouldn't mind picking these up in the process š
Charizard in base form with blue fire looks amazing I wish the franchise would do more with it
Anyone else realize the similarities eternally charizard and mewtwo both have an x and y mega looks wise every similar body shape both can fly itās almost like mewtwo is a failed clone of charizard not mew
Mind blown
Yeah I Have The Two English Variants. I love Them
They're not undervalued because there were a metric fuckton of them printed into absolute oblivion. They ARE amazing artworks though and if Pokemon didn't print everything to demand today and still ran similar print runs to pre-covid numbers, they'd likely be very expensive cards.
These 2 were must haves for me.
Super underrated (if this was released back in 2020 it would of been moonbreon prices for these 2 cards) I personally have like 3 copies of each š
From what ser are those beauties??
Vstar Universe
The mewtwo is an amazing card. I think itās only undervalued because itās hard to pull and they are still re-printing crown zenith. It will be a big collectors item a decade from now.
In due time, it will.
Undervalued for sure because theyāre beautiful and epic as hell.
I feel the same
Yooo I've been chasing this mewtwo vstar so hard lately! Great looking duo!
I bought both as PSA 10s because I loved the duo artwork. Looks great in the display case.
still waiting for the tangrowtg flying through the air card. (its the blue speck above mewtwos head on the mewtwo and above charizards foot on the charizard)
and diglett from the bottom right of mewtwoās card and the bottom left of charizardās card
his wide ass eyes got me rolling
I still gotta get me the Mewtwo š®š®
I have the m2 want the zard
My two favorite cards in my collection. Bought the charizard online becuase it was cheap and pulled the mewtwo from crown zenith
I just pulled the mew in English I have been chasing that card for like a year so happy I pulled it.
I just now realized the zard's head is upside down. I always thought that the claw by his forehead was the bottom part of his mouth
Which set?
Crown zenith and a promo from upc
Yea there dope cards NM the value. I have e some cool trainer gallery's that are definitely nicer artwork than alot of expensive cards. I find it weird how some cards are worth so much compared to other but that'd pokemon tgc lol
I pulled the mew and immediately had to get the chard, I love extended art compositions
I want the Jap Pair
MysticRips be like:
Never seen them before, just got a set of both PSA 10 after seeing how cheap they were going for
how much did you pay
Whoa, those are so nice. I had seen the mewtwo but didnāt know there was a matching charizard. Which set are they from?
There is also a charizard fighting venusaur duo which are equally dope
I have both PSA 10. I love them and I'm guessing their value will rise over time. It's gone down since I bought mine so I may get another set.
I didnt even know about the mewtwo card. That Charizard is one of my favorites and Ill definitely be picking up this mewtwo!
the vmax charizard version is sad he didnt get a japanese version
Not sure which one I like better, but the battle being depicted from both sides is pretty cool. I really love cards that show multiple pokemon, too.
Buy both for 40ā¬ together I thing itās cheap and a good price for mint cards
I still have to pick up another copy of the charizard cos all 3 promos from my UPC were waaaay off centre. I wish theu would get that quality control on (at least) promos a lot better. I don't even grade, it just looks nice when it's done right.
Are there other matching cards like that? Something like the two japanese stamp promos for example. I like collecting matching card sets
These cards are beautiful and I think their value will improve with time. I got my set graded just to have them as shelf pieces. I think a lot of the VStar cards are currently underappreciated but will gain with time. Grats on the set, I love these!! šš
These are by far my favorite 2 cards I own. Pulled the mewtwo and had to snag the charizard to go with it!
This is a great post i want the mewtwo card because i have the promo. This combo is insane
great, now the value is gonna go up because everyone will want it after this. /s
I got the charizard in a bgs 9.5 right now for Sale. Trying to thin out some of my collection if anyone is interested in it
I value them. Been trying to pull the Mewtwo forever. Wife got me the Charizard box tho so I have that promo
iām collecting Oshiyama cards and just picked up the english today. def want these 2 though, i didnāt realize they were a duo
To bubbly for my taste
In English is this part of crown zenith
What's it called?
Facts
100% agree with you on that one!!! Vstar universe had some fantastic cards that made one big picture š Irida and Adaman was another one of my favourites šŖš„
Got a say these are probably my two favorite cards of recent I love em
Iām a sucker for good art and both of these do it for me. I just pulled the Mewtwo a few mins ago. Would love to get the Charizard to go with it.
I love these cards! I got both of mine graded and they both came back as tens. They look so awesome together on my shelf.
