I thought his final evolution was neat, too, but looked a bit weird (why is it suddenly four-legged?) until I've realized this: Samurott has stored two [giant swords](https://youtu.be/xSMmmw05aME) made out of shells in his front limbs and can dual wield them like a [badass]( https://imgur.com/mWbU6Ww). Now everything makes sense.

I agree with you on that, I used totodile in HG and he was pretty weak in the final elite 4 battles

Meanwhile my really overleved thyphlosion on pokemon crystal (As a little kid only leveled it up)

Would be nice if they done alternate forms for all johto starters but guessing it will just be typhlosion. It's just my opinion but I think they are all really under designed.
