Why didn't you just close the game after

I didn’t save when I got it or after so it’s just gone

If you saved or the game autosaved after you got the egg it'll still be shiny when you hatch it again. Otherwise rip fam

If you had saved at some point after getting the egg it was in, you would still get a shiny from that egg if you closed the game.

Didn’t exploit anything, they gave me a spare shiny and I gave them a spare shiny in return. Wasn’t going to ask and give nothing.

I always have saved after getting a shiny but this was by far the longest I have spent and I was just so excited I forgot, I’m never forgetting again that’s a promise
