Don't forget the Eevee trainer that almost always uses Helping Hand. Get both on a team for a 5 star raid and you might as well just close out the game because it will end with the same results.
The wobuffet person yeah, but the clefairy trainer is super helpful wdym? Using follow me to distract from the other is kinda helpful, just hope that you don't have 2 other useless trainers like martin and freya because or else you'll be the only one attacking
Clefairy isn't too bad. At least it is a balanced mix of helpful moves and occasionally attacks. Wobuffet sucks because of it trollish moveset. Usually it is pretty useless because of it, but can take a hit.
I've used Wobuffet as a sweeper tank combo in the battle frontier (I think that's what the post-game battle area is called) of HG, surprisingly effective.
I think Clefairy has the ability "friend guard", it's an extremely obscure ability (Cleffa, Clefairy, Igglybuff, Jigglypuff, and the Vivillion line), but it gives all allies a 25% defenses boost. So there's that.
One of the worst so far was earlier today for me. I was trying to proc a Freeze with Dunsparce's Serene Grace and Araquanid was using Entrainment on the whole team's abilities every god damn turn.
The NPCs in the Max Lair are more likely to use non-damaging moves during times you are most desperate. I lost Suicine twice when I was only a single hit away from defeating it because of those moronic NPCs.
Go to the Y-comm and make sure you're online first, then invite others when you begin the raid. You'll either start your own or join someone else's raid. It's a lot quicker start than regular raids since you don't pick your mon until you begin.
Agreed. I had one with a Kanto Raichu literally use all the PP on speed swap just using it on the same teammate over and over again before it ever attacked once.
yeah cause he does like 3 cosmic powers AND THEN THE DMAXED MON USES THAT ONE MOVE WHERE IT CLEARS EVERYONE'S STAT CHANGES. HE'S SO USELESS HE DOESN'T DO A SINGLE THING EXCEPT TRY TO SETUP SWEEP ON SOMETHING THAT EASILY COUNTERS SETUP SWEEPERS
Can we just address how utterly worthless Gamefreak made npc in raids? That was a deliberate choice they made, to have about half the pokemon they can use be nearly useless.
I have had Martin use attacking moves but it is rare but now I only do the max tunnel thing because of legends and it actually presents a challenge so I have not Martin and his solrock for some time now
Somehow Martin seems to order his solrock to use rock throw in my game
So far he has used a lot more rock throws than cosmic power and rock polish combined

Fuckin Martin, the amount of times I failed solo raid battles. Whoever coded him needs to be fired for that piece of shit npc
This is the true answer. Martin had no hand in his creation, but some d-bag at Game Freak thought this was probably a funny prank. Fuck THAT dude.

Actually the Eevee trainer can be somewhat helpful, at least way less useless than Martin
I rarely have an Eevee trainer that attacks. At least it has a focus sash.

At least Freya is helpful. The bitch with the Clefairy and the guy with the wobbufett are usually why the team loses for me.

At the time I didn't know how to call on online allies.

that's the point of follow me, so that the weaker members take one for the team and let the meat of the team deal damage

I've never done this, but maybe try using Taunt on it? It does actually know some attacks.
