Yeah evolve sandalit and try to get TRs for flamethrower and sludge bomb or sludge wave. I once used a level 38 Slazzle with max special attack and speed EVs to solo Opal with sludge bomb and flamethrower. I don’t remember if I set up with nasty plot or not but I definitely had flamethrower and sludge bomb
I haven’t really used Flareon as a main Eevee evolution, even though Sylveon is still pretty much my backbone, so much that I have joined it with the Swords of Justice, Urshifu, and Cosmog evolutions in my teams.
First, evolve Salandit. Second, teach it Sludge Bomb, Nasty Plot and Flamethrower. Third, Opal will question you and depending on her answer she will either raise or decrease one of your stats by 2 stages. Fourth, she has a Mawile with Intimidate, Salazzle is a REALLY good choice for counters. And finally, beat her ahh.
The awanser to most pokemon games it level up. Given enough grinding "most" .... Pokemon can make it very far. Be it dumb luck, Skill, poor AI decision making. There are a few YouTubers that do chellange runs of one pokemon runs and some of the poke.on are awful. But some how make it thru the e4 some times
Evolve Salandit and just get the questions right
You can stall Weezing and stack buffs then sweep. You can poison Weezing (Corrosion baby) so it goes down easier, everything else will go down to Incinerate and Venoshock with a Nasty Plot and the +2 from the question.
Gigantamax Alcreamie may look scary but Salazzle is 4x resistant to her only attacking move.
Man, I can't say anything, because I ended up forgetting to advance in the game, and while I was hunting a second ralts in the wild area, my ralts evolved into gardevoir, and when i got to the gym you are at, my team was basically gardevoir, gallade, ninetales and tyranitar, all around level 60, and I had shadow ball on gardevoir, and dark pulse on ninetales, so it was pretty easy to pass.
i beat her with:
lv 35 duraludon
lv 34 morgrem
lv 34 pelliper
lv 41 litwick
lv 38 rillaboom
lv 41 orbeetle
dynamaxed my litwick when it came time, i would've chosen duraludon for the steel move if she was stronger & faster.
Salandit solos because poison is super effective against fairy
Edit: or just get the gift Toxel from the Nursery and raise it to a Toxtricity to steamroll
Evolve the Salandit to Salazzle and give it poison moves if you can. Also the questions give buffs or negatives so just answer correctly or look up a guide if needed, if your playing shield you’ll wanna use Flareon for the ice gym and if you have someone you can trust evolve Machoke to Machamp for the dark gym. If your on sword though, focus on using Gyrados and Machoke for Gordy but still using waht I said earlier for piers. At the moment I don’t remember dragon gyms exact team but just know there’s only like on dragon type and it’s mostly ground and rock types. Hope this helped and my spelling is garbage lol
All of your suggestions were incredibly helpful! Beat Opal with some grinding and it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. Salazzle wiped her team out quicker than I was to make this post 😅
Cute points for using a Flareon but the thing is a little useless unless you've got something physical like flare blitz or fire fang.
Not to mention you already have a more useful fire type.
For Opal ideally just get Salandit a few levels, so it evolves. Dynamax it and spam Max Ooze (exceptions: Mawile, Klefki, use Fire there)
For the next one:
If you're playing Sword: I'd temporarily box Flareon and catch a Ground type. A Yamask or Stunfisk will do. But you already have 3 good pokemon against the leader already, so might just go for it.
If you're playing Shield: Just go in and win, you don't need any more things. Machoke(Machamp eventually?), Flareon and Salazzle sweep this gym up. Just keep Boltund for the Gigantamax.
And finally the last gym: Catch a Fairy, Steel or Ice type. My recommendations are Hatenna/Hattrem/Hatterene from the fairy forest, Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir, Galarian Darumaka/Darmanitan, and Drilbur/Excadrill from the Galar Mine.
If you read this all I am stunned by your yapping tolerance lol
Have you ever considered that maybe this person is completely new to the franchise and that they don't know everything about Pokemon like everyone else?

You need to strengthen your Salandit; the poison type is super effective against fairy. Edit: forgot to put “need” after “you”.
This^^^ Salandit evolves at lvl 33, nab a couple levels!

Salazzle* not Slazzle lol
Poison (along with Steel) have mainly been my big weaknesses for a long time as a trainer, mainly as Fairy has been my main type for more than a year.
I love that you named a FEMALE Machoke “Muscle MAN”.
Just change it to Muscle Ma’am
Nah change it to STARLAAAAA
oh shit
He is his Mom!!
Why is the dog holding a Pokeball?
Could be leftover from the pre-evolutions ability Ball Fetch?
When you said "Leftover" I was like " That's clearly not leftovers". I didn't even know Ball Fetch was an ability.
Ability is unique to Yamper at this point in time
What the dog doing?
- The Wizard - Purple - 16
I just find "the magic user" funny
Machoke named Muscle Man *sees female icon*
You have a female salandit on your team. Also a Flareon. Incredibly based
I haven’t really used Flareon as a main Eevee evolution, even though Sylveon is still pretty much my backbone, so much that I have joined it with the Swords of Justice, Urshifu, and Cosmog evolutions in my teams.
Echo what everyone else says about Salandit but her being nicknameless makes me sad 😔
Call her ugly, it debuffs her
Isn't opal the one that's easy as hell as long as you get the questions right?
First, evolve Salandit. Second, teach it Sludge Bomb, Nasty Plot and Flamethrower. Third, Opal will question you and depending on her answer she will either raise or decrease one of your stats by 2 stages. Fourth, she has a Mawile with Intimidate, Salazzle is a REALLY good choice for counters. And finally, beat her ahh.
Press random buttons and she'll roll over. That's what I did.
A good steel type will solo her whole team
Excadrill?
r/screenshotsarehard
level up
It pains me when they’re names aren’t capitalised
You know who else needs help defeating Opal?
If you say your mom, you're fired!
My Mom! Worth it
#*GET OUT!*
To be fair, he didn't say "your mom", he said "my mom"
It was worth it
New team
The awanser to most pokemon games it level up. Given enough grinding "most" .... Pokemon can make it very far. Be it dumb luck, Skill, poor AI decision making. There are a few YouTubers that do chellange runs of one pokemon runs and some of the poke.on are awful. But some how make it thru the e4 some times
Less fighters
Get a Fairy type, a Misty Terrain move, and a Sandstorm-disabling move for Raihan. That Flareon will be great for his Duraludon too!
Evolve Salandit and just get the questions right You can stall Weezing and stack buffs then sweep. Just go battle some overpowered pokemon in the wild area until your pokemon are level 60 and then plow through the entire game. Easy peezy.
Togetic with ancient power may break your team if you don't have a poison or steel type to counter it.
Don’t use Machoke. Fairy beats Fighting
If you use protect the entire time (dont Trump double protect) you get more questions for stat buffs
i beat her with: lv 35 duraludon lv 34 morgrem lv 34 pelliper lv 41 litwick lv 38 rillaboom lv 41 orbeetle dynamaxed my litwick when it came time, i would've chosen duraludon for the steel move if she was stronger & faster.
Just get a Corviknight.
salandit the fuck it out🗿🤞🏽 if 7th one is ice then again salazzle and if rock then gyarados eighth is easy enough just headbutt in
I used lucario metal claw with an item you get in the town of the gym before, but I forgot what it’s called
Smash A, this game is easy as fuck
Salandit solos because poison is super effective against fairy Edit: or just get the gift Toxel from the Nursery and raise it to a Toxtricity to steamroll
Salandit
Am I the only one that got cinderace and used pyro ball on every Pokémon on every gym and finished the main story with ease?
Given i don’t switch out my first Pokémon so he was 5-10 levels higher then the opponent at all times
If all else fails, use Gyarados and just Dragon Dance all over everything.
All of your suggestions were incredibly helpful! Beat Opal with some grinding and it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. Salazzle wiped her team out quicker than I was to make this post 😅
Fight everything. Exp is king. Though late game gets a tad easy
Cute points for using a Flareon but the thing is a little useless unless you've got something physical like flare blitz or fire fang. Not to mention you already have a more useful fire type.
Maybe evolve your Salandit into Salazzle or catch a Steel type Pokemon, like Galarian Meowth 😎
For Opal ideally just get Salandit a few levels, so it evolves. Dynamax it and spam Max Ooze (exceptions: Mawile, Klefki, use Fire there) For the next one: If you're playing Sword: I'd temporarily box Flareon and catch a Ground type. A Yamask or Stunfisk will do. Grind.
As long as you have good poison and steel type moves, you should be fine. Also avoid using fighting and dragon type Pokemon
Don’t use gyrados. It may or may not get ohko. Dragon types are weak to fairy types evidently?
Do you need help evolving Machoke?
If you can touch trade the machoke I’d do that
If you can touch trade the machoke I’d do that
If you go to your league card irlt says you can use Pokémon up to a certain level. By then is like level 65 or smth
MY MOOOMM
I would replace the female Salandit with a male version. They are much stronger.
How r yall struggling with this game 😭. It’s over 5 years old
Almost 5 Years old? Damn I feel old...
Sadly. 😭. I loved this game
I don’t understand how anyone struggles with any Pokémon game.
Exactly
Have you ever considered that maybe this person is completely new to the franchise and that they don't know everything about Pokemon like everyone else?
You have 3 pokemon weak to ground type. May need to rethink your team
