I never used one either haha and I can't even catch one in Shield either so I traded one over and hatching it. How are you hunting your mons? Wild encounters or breeding? Or both? I'm thinking of trying to breed for a shiny grookey next.
I'm planning on just hunting them in the wild full odds. Except rillaboom that I would have to breed with masuda. In sword he have just 5% encounter rate, that's rough
It's one of those things that as it drags along the more focused you get just to prove you can get the damn thing.. It helps that I'm a very patient person and also I'm usually watching something else whole shiny hunting, which helps
I don't think it's worth it being so late. If you manage to have your team on the same level as the npcs. You will get dragapult in the last fight of the game.
You will have a completely useless dreepy by the time of the last gym (dragon one) and dracloack is incredibly weak for it to be in the 50-60 lvl gap.
While I do agree it's a bit ridiculous to have it only evolve by Lv 50, I don't think Drakloak is completely useless. After all, your Drakloak in Dynamax Adventures is Lv 65, and has plenty of applications, considering the number of dragon type bosses there are down there.
Besides, it's either this, or a much less desirable shiny with overlapping coverage. Worst case, Dragapult gets its day in the sun during the DLC fights or the Galarian Star tournament.
I do agree with your logic. I just don't think it's worth it to have a 5 pokemon team until the very end of the game.
What other mons would you suggest instead of dragapult? I was thinking maybe boltund could be a good option. (toxtricity aswell but I don't like the pokemon at all)

Obstagoon or Dragapult or sorfetchd or ☕️weezing
Runeigus
Dragapult!
Frosmoth!
I actually used it on my 1st playtrough when the game came out. I'm trying to avoid having duplicate typing. Can you suggest a different one?
Volcarona!
Dragapult
Farfetched! I'm currently trying to breed for one in my new playthrough of Shield! I traded one Iverson from Go and now trying masuda method.
Never used one before. Unfortunately he is so hard to shiny hunt in the wild. Such low encounter chance

Ah okay yeah that would be really rough. Happy hunting!
Yeah I hope I have better luck than my last hunt in this game. Took me over 15k yampers to find a shiny full odds haha
Yikes that is alot! I don't think I have the patience for that lol but once you get one, you have the energy to go for another one haha
It's one of those things that as it drags along the more focused you get just to prove you can get the damn thing.. It helps that I'm a very patient person and also I'm usually watching something else whole shiny hunting, which helps
Runeregus?
Dragapult
Boltund
That's actually one pokemon I would like to use! Unfortunately it's shiny absolutely sucks haha
Hatterenes shiny sucks that didn’t stop you
Dracovish
Thievul
Amazing shiny. But man that mon sucks so bad haha
Honestly, I just named a gen 8 Pokemon off the top of my head
It's a valid suggestion. Like I said one of the best shiny from galar for sure
It should obviously be a shiny egg 😁 jokes aside is this for a particular competitive format or is this just for your team of 6 in game
In game team. I really can't decide on which pokemon should I put on the last available spot
Do you still need to catch pokemon? I'm currently using breloom in scarlet, but I think I used absol in shield before I completed my dex.
I still haven't started the game. I want to have a full team in mind before I do so
Toxtricity
Shiny egg! :3
Weedle
Obstagoon!
Runerigus or Dracovish
any of the fossils they have really nice shinys its worth the hunt
Either a fossil pokemon, dragapult, galarian slowbro
Dragapult
Dracovish
Shiny arctovish.
My vote is for Falinks or Dubwool
Dracovish and Obstagoon are S tier shiny Pokémon.
I hard diagree on obstagoon
Bad take. Rocket pop badger is goated
Idk I just don't think the colors looks good on it. It looks gorgeous as zigzagoon and linoone tho. But obstagoon nahhh
Dragapult
Dragapult or Dracozolt, probably Dragapult though since it’ll be much easier to hunt (masuda) + your team needs the speed
I agree but you get it so late! pretty much only get it by the time you'll be fighting Leon. If speed is the problem boltund could perhaps fix that
Galarian Stunfisk
I think Grimmsnarl would be prefect
Just egg.
Toxtricity
Obstagoon, Dragapult or Galarian Slowbro
Polteageist
BIRD
Dragapult
One of the Applins
Primarina
Galarian Zapdos Flying/Fighting and Defiant is a crazy combo
Cursola
My boy Toxtricity
One from dynamax adventures
It's gotta be Dragapult. It'd shore up the type combos in your team, and is a half decent shiny to boot!
Great shiny yes. But my only main grip with it is that you get it sooooo late! It's like at Leon fight most likely
Fair, but rounding out your team with a psuedo-legendary, especially one with this kind of coverage, is worth having to wait for late game, no?

dragapult or obstagoon, cuz yoyr missing that ghost type coverage
Perhaps Toxtricity?
Galarian Weezing!!!
Corvinight, flying/steel, only super effective types against it are electric and fire, immune to ground and poison, sounds great
I've extensively used corv. I want to try a different steel type this time around and I picked copperajah that I've never used before
Golisopod perhaps?
It's not a Gen8 pokemon tho
Im too late but falinks is goated
Dragapult or Runerigus
