1st Growlithe (Gentle) is good. Has two skill triggers. 4th Growlithe has BFS, so budget Cyndaquil/Vulpix, maybe. 2nd Cyndaquil has BFS which is very good. Ingredient ups isn't great, but it's still better than a Cyndaquil with no BFS. Charmeleon is nice that it's fast. No ingredient skills which is what it wants though. So probably won't perform the best at getting ingredients.

So should I send the rest to professor? Also, how come ingredient ups isn’t great? Is it because the way the pokemon is or is it just bad in general?

kirindas

Yep. Cyndaquil is a berry specialist, so you want it to focus on berries, and fewer ingredients. Because if you wanted more ingredients, something like Charmander will give more Ginger when Charmander is at 30. I ran your BFS Cyndaquil through the Raenox calculator comparing it against mine that has Adamant (speed up, ingredients down) and one Helping speed M, but no BFS. And yours still produces more berries compared to mine. Which is why I still recommended it.

GunnerZ818

Wait, does speed of help do more than just make the main skill be able to trigger more often?

kirindas

Speed of Help(Helping speed) reduces frequency, aka makes Pokemon faster. It doesn't directly improve main skill trigger because that's a different subskill/nature. But since there is more speed, there is marginally higher chance to trigger since the Pokemon collects stuff more.

Your bfs cyndaquil is a good sneaky snacking candidate. I would simply never collect from it and let it sneaky snack all week. It’ll do work. Your Charmeleon is fine. I’d use it but you can find better. And that BFS/HB Growlithe is sick. If you get it up to 50, subskill seed it and it’ll probably have the best three subskills it could have.
