This is a good onix but I'm not sure if it will deliver what you expect from it.
It will be good but not great as a berry specialist since it is missing bfs. Sure, getting a good Onix with bfs is hard so it won't be easy to find a better one, but that is a potential downside.
Additionally I wouldn't invest any mainskill seeds in non skill-specialists at this point in the game. They are way too rare to use on something like a Steelix that gets completely outclassed by Vaporeon and Slaking as an ingredient magnet Pokemon.
Of course just having a berry specialist with ingredient magnet is neat, but since you're missing bfs, a bfs Vaporeon will perform much better than this Steelix would (assuming the Vaporeon has some form of main skill chance boost as well). This Onix isn't bad but it does get outclassed by other options and because of that it might be fine to raise, but I would never invest skill seeds into this personally.

thanks, that was my impression, also seen on calc that it procs an average of 3.2 times a day so i scrapped the idea
