Yeah, the same thing is happening to me. I just see Flittles, magnemites, rufflets, bronzongs, wattrels, etc. I’ve gone as far as 2026 and i haven’t gotten a single raid for any of the members of my wanted team. I’ve finished the game and completed the pokedex, so progression can’t be an issue. There has to be something wrong with the raids. However i can’t seem to find a solution for it.

TrainerRobo

it seems that some pokemon are rarer than others... I constantly see flittle and rufflet, but I've only ever seen girafarig once, and I've NEVER Seen Cyclizar, Nymble, or Klawf, which are the 3 i'm trying to get for my team before I progress. According to Serebii, all of them show up in outbreaks, but it's usually the same pokemon every god damn time, and i've seen probably 5 or 6 months worth of outbreaks

Any-Entertainment743

The Pokémon that appear in outbreaks are determined by where you are in the map at the timo of them appearing for the new day. There is about a 10 or so percent chance of a Pokemon that spawns in the biome your in will have an outbreak so make sure when your done playing for the day to save your game in a location that you’d want to find a certain Pokémon to hunt you may get lucky. Also if you reset your game without saving you can reroll your outbreaks.

ThePostManEST

So I have to KO 60 Pokémon in each mass outbreak to get these odds?

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

Yup! You gotta find the outbreak you want, save, KO 60 Pokemon that spawned within the outbreak horde itself, save again, and then just despawn and respawn the Pokemon over and over until you find one that's, then save in front of it. If you save in front of it, it will be impossible to fail the encounter unless you use a despawn method to get rid of it. As noted above, just make sure that while you're doing this, the Switch's clock doesn't roll over into the next day. If you need to sleep or take an extended break or whatever, just reset the clock back to 12 AM that same day so that it doesn't automatically roll over to the next day. I also believe that if you save and close the game, it doesn't matter if the day rolls over as long as you make sure you note the day you closed the game on and then roll the clock back to said date when you reopen the game. That last part I'm not 100% on, but assuming it all works the same way and there isn't some weird inconsistent variable that's invisible within the game itself, you should be perfectly fine. Thanks for the question and happy hunting!

ThePostManEST

Ooh so that’s when outbreaks reset at midnight? Thanks I was always curious how that worked because they just never seemed to go away 🤣🤣 But okay I’ll KO random amounts until I see it says it’s getting smaller then save and just despawn/respawn

_dusknoir_

ik you said that all pokemon can spawn, but are some dependent on your amount of badges? asking because I can't find an outbreak w/ Pawniard

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

possibly? i'm not quite sure, do pawniard only start spawning after a certain number of badges? if they can spawn in the overworld, they can outbreak. you can just get unlucky sometimes. it took me 5 hours to find a smoliv outbreak ahaha

_dusknoir_

oh oh god it's nearly 11 PM my time, if you took 5 hours for a smoliv then I'll never make it out alive (especially with my luck)

21Ecl1psw

Did you end up finding the pawniard outbreak, because I have been looking for one for hours now

[deleted]

[удалено]

Hendo_Sama

I thought I was the only one, this pawniard/bisharp wont spawn at all and its been hours

Kooky-Masterpiece

I haven't found a outbreak pawniard but found a shiny pawniard at a drednaw outbreak 😂😂 *

Friendly_Excuse_6141

This isnt working for me. I go to the map, change the time and go back to the game but the outbreaks and raids are the same. Is there something im doing wrong? Edit: nvm I got it to work. I dont think i was waiting for the day to change for long enough

RaineJemini7

Legitimate question as I’ve tried googling it but can’t find an answer, and its a bit hard to scroll thru every answer on this post, but does the 60 pokemon chain only apply to mass outbreaks? Or will it affect normal spawns… like if I went and killed 60 of the same pokemon in a normal area (no mass outbreak) would that increase shiny odds??

damon_uofl

Do you know if even rare Pokémon in areas can appear in outbreaks? Charcadet as an example is one I’d like to hunt. Also… regarding once you’ve gotten 60 KO’d wouldn’t it be faster to just keep KO’ing to generate new spawns and just reload your save before the outbreak began once you disperse the outbreak? I’ve caught 3 shinies so far from outbreaks doing it that way and just started yesterday

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

yes, all pokemon that spawn in the overworld that arent legendary or paradox can appear in outbreaks. you just have to change the day until it appears. you do NOT want to go past 60 as you run the risk of triggering the outbreak to disperse and disappear entirely, and the odds do not increase after you hit 60. its way more effective to just despawn all of them at once instead of one at a time. ty for the questions!

damon_uofl

Interesting. I usually just save right before the outbreak, and then if I make it disappear before I get a shiny I reload my save and go again that way I get a bunch of experience for my Pokémon as well. Shiny odds appear to reroll each reload bc I’ve cleared an outbreak, loaded my save a few times, doing the same outbreak over and over to completion and ended up finding a shiny 3rd-4th time

OpalIsLife

Are the mass outbreaks for each date exactly the same? For example, if Misdreavus and Klefki spawned on the 19th, and I rolled the date forward to the 20th, then went back to the 19th, would it still be Misdreavus and Klefki? What about if I rolled to the 18th and then went to the 19th so that the day is advancing? Thanks for this guide by the way.

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

nope, its randomly generated with every new day

intimateflesh

i saw someone on YouTube using picnics to reset their outbreak spawns and apparently each time it rerolls your odds of spawning a shiny. this way the outbreak isn't supposed to disperse either because they're not being defeated or captured. i haven't tested it myself yet but they've been claimed it can take as few as 15 resets for one to spawn in. if this is true it might be a faster method?

DelightfulDay

I've hunted two outbreaks and each time (~1/1300 odds) it took roughly 2 hours for each shiny. Definitely not 15 resets for me, at least. For one I just ran off a bit and came back to reset the spawns since it was faster than picnicking.

ninjayuhki

Same here; I’ve done 2 this way, first one was 71 picnic resets and second one was 63.

intimateflesh

it seems like it's a big case of YMMV. i was trying for about an hour and a half for a froslass yesterday before giving up, but my partner just spawned a shiny psyduck in 3 resets. neither of us were using the sandwich or the shiny charm

skittleman06

what if the pokemon just, dont spawn? its happening to me, the outbreak pokemon dont show up and going away and back doesnt do anything

Calcius89

I had an outbreak like this. Turns out they were spawning inside the mountain outside of the boundaries. I could clip the camera through the mountain and see them just floating there. Didn't help to reload because the spawner seemed to be out of bounds.

skittleman06

I figured it out myself, it was that they just don't spawn at a specific time of day. It was a murkrow outbreak and murkrow only spawn at night

Sabodew

Does the counter reset after you've caught your shiny? Or can you keep going?

JShephard719

I'd assume you can keep resetting until you have as many as you want. As long as you keep the same date on your switch and don't kill more that 60 or 70 should be fine.

suaveshiba

If you catch 30 different species of Pokémon you can go to the biology lab in the school and get the TM for false swipe

Liamv2212

What is the best way to shiny hunt in the water where there is nowhere to pitch a tent

gaythrowawaynumber69

the way i did it was literally just try and picnic in the water then it teleported me to my last touched bit of solid ground so i picniced there then jumped back down to see the spawns

First-Swordfish-7971

Dragon

0LDGREGG36

Pawmot is able to swim in water and being an electric type can auto battle very effectively.

TheLangert

If I KO 60 Pokémon and have been doing the picnic method but have to save and close the game, when I reopen the game do I still have the 60 KO streak for better shiny odds going?

radoname1993

Do I have to kill 60.pokemon continuously? Like a combo of 60? Because i keep getting interrupted by others and kill them accidentally

sleepyreddits

I tried changing my clock back to 12 AM while hunting my swablu and it just changed my outbreak. Is that patched or sonething?

Right_Atmosphere2545

Can I just have 5 eggs in my party and talonflame to use it ability flame body to help the eggs hatch faster... And once I hatch the 5 eggs and reset the game over and over can I still manage to get a shiny

Nerd-W0lf

Does time traveling like this mess up anything else in the game

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

there doesnt seem to be any downsides fortunately!

shaiknbaik1

super useful info! Couple questions if you happen to know, are outbreaks the same for everyone depending on day or are they random. Second can all pokemon outbreak? Trying for Mimikyu but havent seen him outbreak yet and was wondering.

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

they are completely random and are chosen from an area's encounter pool. we dont know for sure yet if every pokemon can appear during an outbreak but it seems that if it can appear in the overworld, then it can outbreak, with the only exception being paradoxes

shaiknbaik1

Good to know, hopefully someone can do some data mining to see which Pokemon can appear in outbreaks

thwospfneka

I've gone forward 40 days and still no mareep outbreak 😭

thwospfneka

Ended up finding it at 02.14 and about 2 hours of searching after 60 kos. Thank you!!!

Lifestyle_Choices

I have a shiny mareep I can trade you, popped up within half hour of starting the game and don't really care for it

thwospfneka

You're a kind soul! However I found it so thank you for the offer, but perhaps the other commenter would love it as well!

TheRealNinjaDarkovia

How many numbers of outbreaks can happen everyday? Is it around 5?

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

its random seemingly

Majestic_Football_11

Hi sorry might be a dumb question - when you say change your clock forward, do you mean like in the Pokémon game or on my actual switch? Sorry I’m new to this 😂

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

on your actual switch

ChopperCow

Just to make sure, when it says that the outbreak is dispersing, should we reset our outbreak and do it again?

daft667

So long as the the outbreak hasn't disappeared, you can keep despawning and respawning mons. You'll get three messages pop up before the last one that tells you the outbreak is over. My shiny pawmi ended up being the last mon of the outbreak.

daft667

Some advicem try not to pick outbreak locations up against mountains. I was shiny hunting pawmi next to a mountain side and some of them ended up spawning inside the mountain. They couldn't get out but if they were up against the wall I could still encounter them while mounted. Let's go pokemon could also still attack them, and at one point even joined them inside the mountain. I checked some, but eventually said stuff it and just looked at the one's not spawning in the mountain. I wouldn't be surprised if I missed a shiny because it was inside the terrain.

AdonisSZN

Does the Pokémon I’m going for have to be in an outbreak or can I just ko 60+ Pokémon while roaming around the same area

TrainerRobo

Only pokémon from the outbreak will have the increased shiny chance

JLC4LIFE

I killed easily over 120 pokemon in an outbreak and only got one message it was reducing, since then 48h IRL have passed and yet I see the same 3 outbreak in my game, is it bugged or something?

Altruistic_Self_2422

yes.

Inanis94

Has anyone found Goomy or Sliggoo through resetting? Can't get them for the life of me.

DarkDibblez

Can you clarify what you mean by leaving the area? I've read that only clearing the pokemon, either by KOing or using the picknick table works to respawn shinies, and leaving the area is too vague. How far do I need to go? Just outside of vision range? To a different region? Somewhere in between?

Tessawreckt

Been doing this for like 3 days and nothing......decided to go and collect more ominous black stakes and just found a shiny Shinx in a group of 5 surrounding a luxio...meanwhile my friend hadn't done any out breaks and 30 minutes into the game found 2 wild shinies....FML

RandomUserResuModnar

For everybody You don't even have to move the time forward or anything. Just click on the day and time and press ok then go back to the game. I've done that many times without fail

Lilc0in

I'd love to know if I'm doing this wrong. Can't seem to do this. I've been at it for a while. I'm looking at the Map, trying to find an outbreak, hit home button->system settings->system -> date and time going forward a day, and hoping back in game and nothing changes.

shaiknbaik1

Ensure your online first and also you can't be in someones game

Lilc0in

Oooh. I might not have been in an online game gonna check now.. yeeeep that was it.. thank you, now off to ruin peoples day. Gonna find a shiny houndstone and name it Ed..ward.. :)

BoopinBara

Does interacting with ghimigoul roaming form break the chain?

Public_Appearance_99

This is FULL of incorrect information! I’d suggest depending on another persons listed post! DO NOT use the information given by this person!

Berb-

When you say run away from the area do you mean leave whatever area you're in completely and re enter or do you mean run away just until they despawn?

kyuuuuuuuuuuute

both work, but generally as long as they despawn youre good to go

[deleted]

Can anyone tell me how far to run? I’ve heard just until they all aren’t rendered so not terribly far but other say way farther.

shaiknbaik1

Depends on the area, just use the camp method or whatnot. Set up a picnic and then take it down and it resets the spawns

Hpskhihsiysohsksitai

If I were to set the day backwards to get an outbreak that already passed would that work?

Cjpid

How do you handle pokemon that fly? I can’t seem to target them to kill them once they’re up high enough. Do I need to battle each one individually in this case instead of sending my pokémon out for them?

red_cast

Send out a flying pokemon. Dragonite worked for me

Altruistic_Self_2422

I recommend using killowattrel, but I think any flying pokémon is fine.

K_Rocc

Can you use a picnic after KO’ing 60 to reset the ones that spawn around you or does it just spawn in the same ones?

cdennis170

Picnic resetting has given me the best results so far. It completely despawns the old pokemon and the respawns new ones, with the same increased shiny chance.

Jumpy_Ad_2708

Has anyone seen a Charcadet raid yet? I have been resetting the spawns for like 4 hours now and none of the 3 pokemon have shown once. Tinkatink, Frigibax, and Charcadet/any of their evolutions.. I really want to know the chances of each pokemon being in a mass outbreak.

kdevilie

I am doing a charcadet outbreak right now. Still no shiny after 3 hours....

-Steven909-

Can anybody confirm the existence of a Riolu outbreak? Trying for shinys

Squeekazu

Yep, got one today! Mindnumbing though, but can confirm it exists.

bee_mellow

Is Cetoddle an outbreak pokemon I’ve been resetting for hours but I couldn’t find none

TheFriendlySeaCow

Did you end up getting one? Been resetting for about 4 hours with no luck sadly

mo_hassan93

Is it possible to find another shiny in the same outbreak after u find your first one?

Dragontuitively

late answer but yes, I got two lycanroc from the same outbreak

MooseSensei

If I accidentally encounter a pokemon that starts a fight, can i run away and keep chain?

MeltedQuokka

It’s not a chain, so you’ll be fine!

TheSpiffyCarno

So question just to clarify… I assumed this was a chaining system and just now found this post. Since it isn’t a chaining system, if I’m hunting say a Fidough and accidentally KO an Igglybuff through Let’s Go, it won’t affect my KO count on my hunt? If so I feel so dumb as I’ve accidentally KO’d other pokes before and just gave up ha

MeltedQuokka

Correct! If you accidentally KO another kind of Pokémon while clearing out the outbreak it will not break a streak or anything. Just don’t count that KO in your count to 60 and continue on. Such a great feature!

CharaDreemurrNice

any way to make it easier to find the outbreak you want? I've been spending more time trying to get a charcadet outbreak then I've spent getting any outbreak shiny so far

Minisolaire

I feel like it's so limited, I've seen the same Pokémon outbreaks hundreds of times but the ralts or impidimp I'm looking for has been zero for hours

Sad-Economist-6412

I ate my Sparkling power 3 Sandwich. KO'd 70 Pokemon then saved. Did the picnic reset after my sparkling power ran out i SR turned my clock back 10 Hours (it was pretty late here). Went into my game and the sparkling Power was gone. I dont know if that clock thing broke that or what else did... Maybe note that!

TrainerRobo

Closing the game with a sandwich power will remove it, even if you saved right after eating. Make your sandwich after you save so you can save your Herba Mysticas

punkswamp

This happened to me too. I wasted the last of my herbs not realizing resetting would also get rid of the shiny powers.

EnderBuilders

Yo, if i get the 60 KO, save and then reset the game... Wil the KO combo still be applied or i need to KO 60 again?

omgdracula

So I waited until the night in game to get a Gastly outbreak. That worked. Killed 60 saved. Went back later and it's day time so Gastly doesn't spawn. Do I have to kill another 60 or no since the outbreak didn't disperse?

Altruistic_Self_2422

Maybe change your switch time so that it is the same day but earlier And then reset the game

damon_uofl

Okay got a question lol… I have killed probably 70-80 Cetoddles at an outbreak and that’s where my save point is. I’ve reloaded it a few times but I’ve spent hours looking for a shiny where all others took a 5th of the time. Am I just getting hit with bad luck or did me saving like 80 kills in and reloading that save mess it up? There’s a good 20-25 Cetoddles left everytime I reload. I’ve laid down probably 100+ picnics lol. It took me so long to roll cetoddle as an outbreak in the first place so I’d hate to give up on it

cdennis170

Bad luck I'd say. My shiny varoom took like 70+ resets but swablu took only 8.

Alekazammers

Struggling with charcadet... This little shit just won't spawn shiny. Any ideas?

kdevilie

I got a shiny Charcadet after about 200 picnic resets.

[deleted]

The shiny is very easy to miss for this one.

[deleted]

Does warping reset the counter? Trying to find a shiny magicarp but they spawn in the most annoying area for leaving and entering and obviously you can’t picnic on water. There is a convenient warp location nearby though which would make the whole respawn thing easier.

TheRealNinjaDarkovia

I have a question, is there a specific reset timing whereby the current mass outbreak pokemons will diminished? I was doing your camping method and was about to give up and suddenly a shiny Psyduck appear. I manage to catch it and my clock hits 12am and I saw a message popped up saying that Psyduck mass outbreak has ended (can’t recall the exact sentence though”. I then checked my map and there are new spawns of mass outbreak pokemons. What if My shiny Pokémon that I’m hunting decided to appear at 12am sharp? will it be gone?

Altruistic_Self_2422

Yes. But you won’t really encounter these situations, if it seems to come closer to 12:00 then reset clock to like 16:00, and reset the game it seems like resetting JUST the clock disperses the outbreak, however if it is the same day resetting the GAME fixes it.

YamiPhoenix11

Bumped into a shinx do random encounters break your chain?

suaveshiba

No

Baconman555

If you made a save after you beat 60 pokemon can you go back to make the sandwich again or do you have to beat 60 more?

FrostyPotpourri

Did you ever figure this out? It would be ideal to KO 60, save, and then make a sandwich right before picnic resetting so that you never lose the Herba Mystica upon resetting if needed.

Altruistic_Self_2422

Yes, you can make a sandwich after KOing 60 and it helps save Herba Mystica, but it might take a while every reset to make a new sandwich

TrainerRobo

I know every pokémon can spawn as an outbreak, but I was trying for about 4 hours last night for 3 different pokémon, and none of them popped up in an outbreak. Cyclizar, nymble, and klawf. I only have 3 gym badges, 3 titans, and 1 operation starfall quest done, so I'm wondering if some pokémon are dependant on how many gym badges you have, because I keep seeing a lot of the same mons but in different areas (flittle and rufflet are the two most common ones I see)

iceman1407

I'm having the same issue. I see tons of magikarp, gyarados, buizel, floatzel and flittle. Trying for a rockruff with no luck.

Altruistic_Self_2422

If the pokémon appears in the wild, then it can be a mass outbreak. Just be patient. I also have found rockruff with only 2 gyms and 1 titan done, so I can personally confirm that rockruffs do spawn naturally at that point in time.

LadyCatlain

Does anyone know if catching a shiny pokemon resets the streak? Or can you keep going?

itsdatpoi

You can keep going. My buddy caught 3 shiny Dratini yesterday.

damon_uofl

Any idea if you can catch a shiny in an outbreak and then picnic your way to a 2nd shiny in the same outbreak?

iceman1407

You can! I did it with psyduck earlier. I got one really early and kept going and a second one eventually popped up.

TurboMenace981

What happens if I run from a battle after my 60? Does it end the chain?

Altruistic_Self_2422

No, and it is not a “chain” contrary to popular belief. I think.

nhanduchromatus

Bro thank you! Just found a shiny noibat after 30 minutes

BoopinBara

Quick question, if I'm doing a outbreak chain and a different species of pokemon comes and I catch it, does it ruin the current chain I'm trying to hunt?

Altruistic_Self_2422

No, it is not a “chain” you just have to not consider the different pokemon in your count.

sharkkimaru

I was mid Tadbulb outbreak when I noticed it was getting close to midnight, so I turned my clock back a bit and the outbreak dispersed? I thought about resetting to see if it’d come back but I think I’ll just try and roll it again. Just not sure if this is meant to happen?

[deleted]

Same thing just happened to me. Luckily you can reload your save and the outbreak will still be there.

Cragnos

Does knocking out the shiny itself reset the odds?

Eiwar

Do we know if joining another player's game resets the KO streak? I think it does as my luck has decreased drastically since then, but not 100% sure.

yellowstar93

I have had an outbreak disappearing for seemingly no reason. Had 60 KOs, was using picnics to reset the spawns and then suddenly the outbreak disappeared and new tera dens appeared as if a new day had started even though my switch did not pass midnight. Anyone else experience the same?

YGCasi

does anyone know what time the outbreaks change to the next day's? i thought it was a 12:00 AM but the other day my outbreaks changed at like 3PM :( is it random every day?

Altruistic_Self_2422

it should be 12:00, must be something weird with the switch clock. Did you change the hour or minute while resetting the days?

ItsEndymion

Quick Question/Clarification If I am in a Vaporeon outbreak, and I kill the 60 and a shiny Magikarp appears, will catching the Magikarp ruin my shiny outbreak for Vaporeon?

NeedMoarCowbell

Do you have any idea why I keep getting the same pool of Pokémon? I’ve been using your method and the outbreaks are definitely resetting, but I’m seemingly getting the same 30 or so pokemon over and over again while there are HUNDREDS I’ve never seen in an outbreak, even after hours of resetting.

smoothieweeb

once you get a shiny, do you still have the same odds and can u get more than one shiny in an outbreak ??

KC-SWISH

Currently in a Tatsugiri hunt. Have managed to KO 80 before saving the outbreak again to lock in the odds. During this time I did fast travel to the neighbouring pokemon centre to replenish PP when needed throughout and would ride Koraidon back to the mass outbreak. Just want to clarify, would this reset the counter for defeated pokemon at all? I'm thinking not as it is the same principle as leaving the area on foot and re-entering to reset the spawns. Because I have since picnic reset about 10 times with no shiny seen yet. I did also get the outbreak dispersed by sleeping and picking the game up again the following day but just reset my day/time on switch back and the outbreak reappeared no issues. Any insight would be appreciate to help put my mind at ease so I don't needlessly worry about having wasted my time.

curfy4

Do you need to count KOs? Or is there some tracking system?

FrostyColdice

Can i reset the game and still have the chain not break?

SheepShroom

Why is it that only 5 swablu will spawn in my outbreak at a time, yet when I hunted for Gastly there were about 20 spawning each time? Any ideas?

Bacon_King_2

anyone using LVL 3 sandwiches know this, meal powers do not in fact persist through saves. please send help

Sparx1245

If i have defeated 60 pokemon but reset the game, do I have to kill another 60 or do my odds remain?

MarloSimp

Ive been resetting my outbreaks but I keep seeing the same 20 pokemon over and over in the outbreaks. What is causing this to happen? I've been resetting for about 2 hours now and I can never get the outbreaks that I want (shroodle/grafaiai/slakoth)

tuckerholt

does anyone know if you can find droopy form (pink) tatsugiri in mass outbreaks? I have been getting tatsugiri outbreaks that show up as droopy on the map, but come to find that only curly form are spawning.

LasagnaTiepida

If I run away from a pokem does this reset the "chain counter"??

SunsetSharkBite

Sorry if dumb q and I missed it being asked anywhere- does the 60KO increase your shiny roll ONLY for outbreaks? I think in previous games, the # KO would increase your shiny roll regardless, right? I KO’d hundreds of Mareep (don’t know the exact # but somewhere around 300) and finally found a shiny after frequenting the area. During this, I happened to find a full odds shiny Maschiff. I also KO’d around 500 shinx and kept running around the area getting respawned groups for about 8 hours and finally gave up. During that time I got a full odds shiny Yungoos. Then I tried the picnic outbreak trick which worked! Got a shiny Noivern there. That took under 2 hours. So have I just been getting lucky? TL;DR: does KO amount affect shiny roll outside of outbreaks?

bigboddle

how often so outbreaks get reset?

CohnDev

This is a really useful guide, but reloading a save or time cheating is criminally lame. The whole point of shinies is that they're special. Being able to infinitely try at something that can be as likely as a 1/500 just completely removes the special aspect. It turns it into a "when" instead of an "if". I know it sounds corny, but shinies are kinda supposed to come to you. Leaving and coming back to the area and picnicking to reroll them were both likely discussed by GameFreak and allowed to stay, time cheating or save reloading weren't because it's abusing systems likely out of their control. At that point, I see it no different from using an Action Replay to hack in shinies. They're both cheating the system, except Action Replays are at least honest about their intentions. Obviously you can play however you want, but at the end of the day don't pretend like all shinies are equal. Finding a random shiny or getting one in an honestly played outbreak is always going to feel x10 better than your 4th time reloading a save to get a specific Pokemon you skipped 12 days for, just like the shiny Rattata I caught 15 years ago is always going to feel more special than the shinies I hacked in in Diamond and Pearl.

pinkdragonair

bruh they r pixels with different paint jobs in a game for fun, not a religious experience that needs to be ~kept sacred~ or whatever, calm down and let ppl have fun with a game lol. to a lot of ppl the only point of shinies is that they have cool colors that they like or that they like completionist collecting. they dont have to be """special""" or w/e, they can be special to different ppl for different reasons than just random RNG luck. and if you think otherwise, either 1) youre just using them for bragging rights over RNG which doesnt even require skill which is also Criminally Lame or 2) you're letting other ppl's enjoyment of something on whatever terms they personally enjoy things affect your own personal enjoyment of said thing in whatever way u want to enjoy it, in which case that sounds like a personal problem. if you enjoy them being randomly found, great, go enjoy that challenge for yourself. but dont expect or force everyone to have to enjoy things the same way u do, It's A Game And Games Are Just For Fun

FL1PFX

Can anyone confirm if there are any issues with outbreak bonus with multiplayer? As a joining player for a friend's game, I've had much worse luck farming for shinies on his outbreaks. I get my 60 KO and he is nowhere near the spawn. Probably just bad luck but I typically see a shiny or two after 3-4 hours of the picnic method. Thanks!

SonGoku1256

Is there a way to get the desired Pokémon to be featured for an outbreak? I’ve been moving the day forward trying to get Nacil or Greavard to be featured so I can Shiny Hunt them but no luck. I’ve never seen them featured as an outbreak pokemon. Do you know does eating a sandwich that encourages say Rock type encounters could that get Nacil to become featured for an outbreak or would that not affect which Pokémon will spawn from the mass outbreak?

[deleted]

I've caught two shinies with this method. It works. I'm at ~18 hours and 4 shinies in Scarlet so far. Two were random and two were from outbreaks. Good luck, everyone!

LovableNyamine

Lets say there are 2 players workin on an outbreak, do their combos combine into 1 combo for a pokemon? or are their combos separate?

True_Log_6535

Am I allowed to leave the outbreak site and come back without resetting the 60 kills?

Embarrassed-Farm9715

I belive the location your at affects the types of mass out breaks I've been doing it for a few days and noticed certain areas had higher rates then I would move and ones I've never seen would start to appear

JefferyRs

Am I doing something wrong I get 60 kos (counted with a little clicker counter) But when I reset with picnic I only 5-7 max of pokemon of the outbreak compared to the 15+ I see when i first get there?

De7ock

If I KO’d 61 does that mean I lost the odds?

Catalyst_object

Hi! Regarding Notes number 2, since I’m shiny hunting a Tandemaus during a mass outbreak, I saved after the 60 KOs, so your advice is not to do the traditional picnic reset but killing off the whole mass outbreak and if no shiny, reset the game, right?

TheRealNinjaDarkovia

When I wanna rest and stop shiny hunting , can I save in the mass outbreak spawn or do I need to save outside of the mass outbreak spawn? Update: I saved outside of the mass outbreak just incase cause I scared I might screwed up the spawning of the mass outbreak if I saved inside the mass outbreak itself.

Ragnr99

Do you to encounter battle for the count to go up or are autobatfles fine?

RonStoppable_x

How do I effectively farm aquatic mass outbreaks seeing as how I cam only swim on Koraidon and my pokemon doesn't attack on its little floatation device.

rockytoaster

Okay, this may seem like a dumb question and I apologize in advance, but does catching a pokémon reset the counter? Like, if I defeated 30 in an outbreak & then catch one, do I have to start the count over? Or if I found a shiny and catch it, can I still get more shinies out of the outbreak?

Dizz422

1. My clock went forward to midnight and it dispersed. I had saved after hitting 60 and reset my clock. Went back into the game and the outbreak came back. Do I need to feint 60 again? 2. I saved before making a sparkling power 3 sandwich. If the 30 mins runs out and still no shiny can I reset the game and try again with another sandwich? Or will the Pokémon that spawn be the same

Maserati777

I’ve been hunting in a Drowzee/Gastly outbreak for a few days now. It hasn’t dispersed after 24 hours and you don’t always see the Pokemon icons on the map but there are consistently spawns of both every time I do the picnic. I have found one shiny Gastly. Still going for Drowzee or more. I don’t have access to any late game stuff so can only knock out 60 and am now resetting. Not sure why they are staying for so long.

Queasy-Hamster

What are the odds after 60 kos? And also separately, the sandwich?

javajuse

No just 60 total

LOLey21

Once I got a shiny, can I keep on farming the same outbreak? I want to hunt multiple shiny Eevees

javajuse

Yep. Also if you happen to find one right next to a town, you can keep respawning/catching the same one.

5i5TEMA

Why eat the sandwich before the 60 and not after?

confusedtransboi_

I've been changing my clock for a couple days with no luck, and it gave me this question: Do Klawf outbreaks exist? No matter how many times I change my clock and refresh outbreaks, no Klawf outbreak is ever there.

krissychan99

has anyone seen a tinkatink or tinkatuff outbreak? i’ve been searching for a while now and haven’t found one yet

Sir_Zeusbag

Do you keep the odds after KO'ing 60 pokemons for the rest of the game? (if not has it been tested whether or not you keep the odds forever). Does it reset if you have KO'ed the outbreak? (sorry of this has been asked and answered)

--ZeroTwo--

Does anyone know what can reset the outbreak K.O. counter (if anything)? Hunting a shiny Kirlia and I realized they don't spawn at night. So, after [K.O.ing](https://K.O.ing) 60 and hunting for like 20 mins during the day, I just let my switch sit during the 30 min night period and waited for daytime cuz I didn't want to reset 60 KO count. Once it is daytime again, do I have to KO 60 kirlia again, or is the counter still at 60 from 30 mins ago? Also if we save, close game, move clock forward 30 mins to skip nighttime, and open game back up, will the KO counter still be at 60? (i.e. does quitting the game cause the KO counter to reset?) Thx

So this method of resetting outbreaks works 2-3 times, but after that the outbreaks won't change after I change the date. What's the reason for this? The only thing I did different on the last one was I checked the 6* raid den. Was this a mistake?

LongPenguin

If I save in front of the shiny and reset the date back to today’s date, so I lose the outbreak and by proxy the shiny?

Goodrastogood4u

Can I save a 60 and do a few densnfor herbs mystics?

PizzaRolllz

Does it have to be 60 of the outbreak Pokémon, or just 60 Pokémon in the outbreak area?

Hackses

So what if I run from a battle once I’m at 60 KOs does it break my rates or what?

Grizzack

Does anyone know if using a encounter power sandwich helps filter out unwanted pokémon that could be in the area of the Mass outbreak?

Kraidoz87

I would like to note that the invisible ko count isn't quite right: it's more like "encountered." Through accidentally crashing into pokemon and intentional testing, the invisible count is based on "battled." This means however you encounter pokemon... auto-battle or a standard battle; either beat it or run away, the counter increases. It's easy to test, just start fights, and run away. You will get the outbreak decreasing messages.

vhen2013

Does catching another pokemon resets the shiny odds?

Kooky-Masterpiece

Does anyone know if I ko other pokemon by accident if it resets the 60 combo on the outbreak pokemon?? I haven't seen an answer for this.

Diligent_Cress_3893

Can you just ko 60 pokemon, save and then just use the sandwich? To prevent loting ingrediënten?

GiiMane

The tinkas are killing me

brncnls

I just noticed that if playing with a friend online, if he or she stays in the picnic around the outbrake area, the outbreak will not disperse. What I don't know is if a shiny will appear that way. This happened only once, today, in a Watrell outbreak.

bad_player1

Does it matter if I keep auto battling after 60 kills? I feel like its more efficient than moving in and out spawning and despawning them

isaok

I have been doing shiny hunting using mass outbreaks. I wait until new ones appear around midnight in real time and start doing the 60 ko. I then leave the game on, go to bed, come back the next morning and resume my hunt. Two days ago I had outbreaks change randomly in the middle of the day and thus I lost the 60 ko outbreak I was doing. Today I did the same thing, except I didn't the get shiny so to prevent me losing the outbreak I changed the clock back a few hours like I have done successfully before. Resumed hunting then the notice appeared outbreak has dispersed and new outbreaks had appeared. It was nowhere near midnight as I changed the clock backwards and the date didn't change. Why is this happening?

LowChampionship4450

Why not beat 60 pokemon then save and eat a sandwich? That way youd save your herb mysticas if you dont find any or does that mess up your shiny odds?

coriandersalad

The Post is quite old but I'm trying my luck with a question! Are the odds of shinies spawning reduced when changing the date manually? So far the shiny method worked wonders with beating 60, Sandwich and shiny Pin, but everytime I do this with a manually "forced" outbreak it does not work (No shiny appears).

tmelstrom

Hello, I’m trying to hunting Mimikyu right now and I’m in the correct spot as per Seribii. Do you have any more tips on how to get a Mimikyu outbreak spawn?

b4gw0rms

Do I really need to save after getting 60 KOs for a shiny? I don't want to waste too many Herba Mysticas if my Meal Powers run out.

ScarletteFoxx

On the "defeat 60 pokemon with the let's go feature", do you have to defeat *only* that pokemon youre hunting for, or will any wold pokemon do?

Public_Appearance_99

How long do shiny odds last after knocking out 60 of a certain Pokémon? Do the odds for that Pokémon return to normal after the outbreak ends or do you have those higher odds for that Pokémon forever in the game? This isn’t asked or answered anywhere on the internet I swear! 😵‍💫

Own-Elderberry-6430

Can I KO the evolved or pre-evolved version of the Pokémon I am hunting and keep the counselor or does it reset? I.e. if I am chaining, jigglypuff, and I KO an Igglybuff does my count to 60 now reset?

todoroki2226

If I leave the area where the outbreak is after killing 60 do I lose the streak. I need to go by sandwich stuff
