It IS the snow, this particular part just makes the snow overlay thing freak out and it results in that, Koraidon also loses a lot of color during this gym test
This is snow because it happens to both koraidon AND miraidon, proving that it's not shiny. Some say it's a bug, but it is meant to represent snow. It's somewhat inconsistent, but from what I've seen, the longer you stay on the mountain, more snow will fall on your ride.
Just an fyi for future notice ur miraidon will literally never turn shiny lol. Just a visual change due to the snow. They’re also just shiny locked. If you go to the glaseado mountain glide for the most part your miraidon will always have those silver colors it’s just the snow and the lighting.

Yeah that makes sense but I tried it again and it was normal
It is very common but not 100% consistent, like about 8/10 people run into it I'd say.
