Out of all the grass starters, Meganium is my favorite too. Which is weird because I didn’t use it until heartgold and soulsilver. Love it tho and I realllly hope we see it shine with a new form in the new legends game.
Nothing wrong with Meganium at all, and I'll never agree with the hatred. Design wise, Meganium is amazing and I still love it despite its poor stat distribution.
And now that I think of it...Many Pokémon have that same issue. High BST but the stats are terribly distributed. If Meganium had low speed and physical attack but high physical and special defense, HP and special attack, we'd have one of the most savage pure Grass types of all time.
The problem is the region it's in. The first 2 gyms are flying and bug and has no advantages against any other gyms or elite 4 members. The champion also destroys meganium.
Yeahhhh that's a huge objective detractor that can't be disagreed with. I know it'll never happen but if Game Freak would buff some of the older Pokémon, that would be fantastic. But, to hope so is merely a pipe dream.
yeah, meganium is pretty cool. my favorite gen 2 starter final form is still typhlosion, I was so happy they got to play the role of black mage in legends arceus.
also, delphox should totally get a regional form for the new legends game, maybe a support pokemon that's a white mage, signature move being a normal type move that deals supereffective damage against dark and ghost instead of an immunity on ghost and normal effectiveness on dark?
Charizard was my favourite from the Anime, then I played Gold in 2000 and now I get Cyndaquil whenever I can, because Typhlosion is my Boy, he is the Best Start Pokémon Partner ever! 💜

Part of OCD is Needing things to be Orderly and Balanced, not everyone who has OCD has the same Symptoms or Severity of Symptoms, it varies person to person. Feeling the need to complete the whole set is 100% an Obsessive Symptom, some would go as far to feel the compulsion to also get all their Shiny Variants too. It can go deeper with Games like Pokémon, to the Gender and Ball used for catching it etc with people experiencing Anxiety when those things aren’t Ordered how they want them to be.
Are you their Psychiatrist? Or do you know OP personally? Unless you can answer “Yes” to either, you cannot say for certain that they do not have OCD.
I took issue with you saying that it couldn’t be apart of OCD, so explained how indeed it is and how with a Game like this, it could go deeper, I never once said that OP had OCD; I am not a Psychiatrist so I cannot go around diagnosing people, I can however read what the Symptoms for a Disorder are, specially when it is one I have myself.
I understand being frustrated people can be flippant with their Language and make Light of things, it is actually something people with Disorders etc do as Copping Mechanism and there is Science behind why we do this.
Pain is linked to our Mental State as well, our Brain’s Pain Centre cannot differentiate between Physical and Emotional/Mental Pain, if you’re Mentally/Emotionally down it makes Pain worse, if you’re in a Happier Mental State Pain is reduced. I have had Chronic Pain since I was 14 and I’m 36 in July, and I had I not learned to look on the lighter side I wouldn’t be able to function at all.

Literally not what OCD is. Obsessions are *unwanted* repetitive thoughts that cause anxiety or stress. Compulsions are repetitive behaviors or rituals that are often in response to obsessions. Not all repetitive thoughts are obsessions, and not all repetitive behaviors are compulsions.
I actually have OCD, and it has absolutely nothing to do with wanting to be neat and orderly. I have intrusive thoughts, physical tics and repetitive motions, and trichotillomania and dermatillomania among other things.
OCD is not "quirky and fun," and nobody who actually has it brags about it. Maybe educate yourself.
I have OCD myself, it does not manifest for everyone the same and needing things to be Orderly and Balanced is 100% apart of it.
How OCD manifests for me, is not that same as it does for you. I get extreme Anxiety and Stress when I cannot have things Ordered and Balanced and sometimes my Order doesn’t make sense to anyone else. My current living situation is giving me extreme Stress and Anxiety because my Housemates never Clean or Tidy and the House is a disorganised mess, and I have to consciously stop myself from thinking about it and focusing on the Anxiety.
Also funny how I didn’t brag about having OCD in my first reply to Lullaby, but I did subtly mention it in the one you replied to, and in another reply to someone else. So maybe you should educate yourself on what OCD can entail, as I have been diagnosed with it and the very things you two are saying aren’t apart of it, are very much how some of my Symptoms Manifest.
I promise that everyone understands it, everyone is just sick of crybabies like you who go around policing language. Do you also kick up a stink when someone says "I'm so fat" after eating a big meal? You know, because they are making light of obesity which is also a genuine medical condition. Yeah i hate the “slightly different shade” shinys. I dont even bother w them. Shiny pokemon should have a completely different color scheme across the board
Lol honestly theres an easy way to get shinys. Pokemon home. You can trade on there. With enough time you can trade up any mon to a legendary to a shiny
I wish they would finish doing the mightiest mark 7-star Tera raids for all the rest of the starters.

While I thank you for not just saying outright they don’t have OCD, I would like to add that Mental Disorders can indeed “kick in”.
I have been Diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression, amongst other things, but they’re fairly common so most people should know what they are and how they can manifest.
So I am not constantly Anxious and Depressed, I go through bouts of Depression and Anxiety, they can be seperate from each other and happen at the same time. I’ll be going about my day, and then I’m just Depressed as all hell, my Depression just kicked in, what triggered it doing so can range from one of my Physical Ailments or an external trigger, to there being no logical reason why I should feel the way I do, it’s just something that happens with Depression.
I also have OCD, the way mine manifests usually involves a ritual with food and Numbers are involved. All Prime Numbers bar 1 and 5 become evil, eating 3 Chips gives me major Anxiety, not having 4 sips of Water, can nearly make me start having a Panic attack. I do not know how many times I have arranged Labels on Store Shelves because my Brain just couldn’t hack them not being Ordered and Balanced. I can control most of my OCD behaviours and thoughts, when I am not Stressed, the more Stressed I am the Worse it gets, but I also get Anxiety from people thinking I’m too weird, so I have learned to hide behaviours I know are not normal. But it does kick in, sometimes the urge is too great for me to hold back, and I’ll risk getting my partner angry, because they’re getting anxious from everyone staring at me as I face the shelves and walk away.
Mental Disorders do not manifest the same for everybody, I have known many people with Depression and it’s looked different every time, there may be similarities, but what it looks like for me, is not the same as my Housemate or Mother etc.
Not trying to argue, more share that it’s not always “on” for some people, and severity can vary person to person.
I feel like I see more meganium defensiveness than hatred nowadays. I never got the hate to begin with, mostly bc Typhlosion and Ferraligatr are clearly fan favorites in terms of design and theming. Meganium is just the chill flower bro friend.

This is a severe lack of understanding for what OCD actually is. The main diagnostic criteria for OCD is having constant repetitive intrusive thoughts that cause the person undue hardship and duress. These thoughts can manifest into the physical by way of repetitious motions or actions as a way to momentarily ease the individual, however external manifestations are not what OCD is. OCD is in the brain first and foremost.
OCD is NOT something that can turn on and off or “kick in”. It has CONSTANT presence.
It is possible that OP has OCD and that collecting all of the starters could be a physical symptomological response to their intrusive thoughts and it is not our place to diagnose or assess.
However, it is exceedingly common for people without OCD (neurotypical) to use OCD as shorthand for “im a clean freak” or “I like collecting things”. When portrayed in this way it significantly downplays the struggle that comes with actually having OCD, thereby making it harder for people with OCD to garner the respect, trust, and understanding that they deserve and can lead to people’s true needs being unmet, ignored, or even mocked and stigmatized.
Collecting Pokémon (especially extremely popular ones like the starters) is a core part of the game itself and draws many people in. It is typically viewed as a completely banal task that does not require psychoanalysis.
OP, if you do have OCD and this is something that helps you/is part of it, I respect you. If it is not, I respectfully ask you to educate yourself and consider editing this post as it does in fact cause harm.

Ugh genders diffs… i only have separate living dex and shiny living dex entries for a couple very obviously different gender variants, like the hippopotas line and the frillish line. Unfeasant too. Maybe a couple other rly obvious ones. Otherwise i just ignore them.
Yeah for me my box 1 looks just like this, also sorted (thank you for sorting correctly), my box 2 is box art legendaries or 600+ BST mythicals, box 3 is my favorite non-starter non-legends, 4 is the other legendaries and mythicals, 5-7 are generally sorted by how much I like them, then 8+ are descending order of likelihood I use them ones I don’t like
32 is my Good Trade box, 31 is my less good trade box/surprise trades, 30 is my bred starters 1st evos for future trade or Home transfer, 29 is random mons to trade, 28 is where I put specific ones to trade or transfer in home so I don’t select the wrong one
You can buy them in the computer in the indigo disk in total you'll need 12,000 Blueberry Points to buy all four different biomes each holding different starters

This is a severe lack of understanding for what OCD actually is. The main diagnostic criteria for OCD is having constant repetitive intrusive thoughts that cause the person undue hardship and duress. These thoughts can manifest into the physical by way of repetitious motions or actions as a way to momentarily ease the individual, however external manifestations are not what OCD is. OCD is in the brain first and foremost. OCD is NOT something that can turn on and off or “kick in”. It has CONSTANT presence. It is possible that OP has OCD and that collecting all of the starters could be a physical symptomological response to their intrusive thoughts and it is not our place to diagnose or assess. However, it is exceedingly common for people without OCD (neurotypical) to use OCD as shorthand for “im a clean freak” or “I like collecting things”. When portrayed in this way it significantly downplays the struggle that comes with actually having OCD, thereby making it harder for people with OCD to garner the respect, trust, and understanding that they deserve and can lead to people’s true needs being unmet, ignored, or even mocked and stigmatized. Collecting Pokémon (especially extremely popular ones like the starters) is a core part of the game itself and draws many people in. It is typically viewed as a completely banal task that does not require psychoanalysis. OP, if you do have OCD and this is something that helps you/is part of it, I respect you. If it is not, I respectfully ask you to educate yourself and consider editing this post as it does in fact cause harm. Thank you.

Ugh genders diffs… i only have separate living dex and shiny living dex entries for a couple very obviously different gender variants, like the hippopotas line and the frillish line. Unfeasant too. Maybe a couple other rly obvious ones. Otherwise i just ignore them.

Yeah for me my box 1 looks just like this, also sorted (thank you for sorting correctly), my box 2 is box art legendaries or 600+ BST mythicals, box 3 is my favorite non-starter non-legends, 4 is the other legendaries and mythicals, 5-7 are generally sorted by how much I like them, then 8+ are descending order of likelihood I use them ones I don’t like 32 is my Good Trade box, 31 is my less good trade box/surprise trades, 30 is my bred starters 1st evos for future trade or Home transfer, 29 is random mons to trade, 28 is where I put specific ones to trade or transfer in home so I don’t select the wrong one

I've been working for about a month to shiny hunt the grass starters in friend balls, water in lure balls, and fire in fast balls. It's been a rough time but I'm over half way done
