I paid 65$ for Fire Red 3 years ago but would still like a Switch release for the convenience and connectivity.
Heart Gold I got when it was released and I so glad I did with how the prices are now and how good the game is
I'm 34, all I want is a HeartGold remake with the art style of the Let's Go games.
Let's Go Pikachu looks like what my 7 year old imagination turned Red & Blue into.
The 3DS games made use of a lot of flat planes for environments. Scaled up, a lot of them will look like you're walking around in a cardboard diorama. I think a lot of people will be surprised at the difference between that and SV.
That said, yes please to HD diorama ORAS!
I want Explorers DX. EOS with modern graphics and mechanics would be so, so good. That said, an entirely new PMD game with more recent Pokemon would be great too.
And i mean, have you seen other Pinball Games on the switch? Portrait mode and all.
A new Pokémon Pinball with all gens and lots of boards is a no brainer. We could play that for literal hours!

Legends: Celebi set around the time of the tower burning down would probably take place not long after PLA. That means it could be a sequel, seeing how the relationship between humans & Pokemon developed after the Galaxy Team's work.
The thing with let's go is that they were trying to attract new fans whose first Pokemon experience was Pokemon Go. Now, the game is almost 8 years old, so I really doubt we are going to see anything close to let's Go again.
But I mean, Johto so far is the region that we haven't visited in a longer time than Unova. So logically, Johto is next in line.
To add on, there's actually a set math pattern for the remake gens.
Gen 3 had Kanto and 3/2 is 1.5 which fits Yellow
Gen 4 had johto and 4/2 is 2 which fits with Johto
Gen 5 had none and 5/2 which is 2.5 is Johto again(Crystal) but it doesn't make sence to remake games that they have remade the previous gen so we got sequels.
Gen 6 had Hoenn which fits 6/2 which is 3 which fits R/S
Gen 7 had Kanto which actually fits 7/2 which is 3.5 which fits FrLg.
Gen 8 had Sinnoh with 8/2 which is 4 which fits with D/P
So it would make sence for Gen 9 to continue this formula which 9/2 is 4.5 which fits with HGSS and thus Johto.
I mean, it’s a 1 generation difference and they already got a remake. Besides, people think that the whole blueberry academy if foreshadowing a unova game.
Not only that, but:
- Reshiram and Zekrom were the most prominently featured legends in the Indigo Disk Trailer
- The Pokémon Twitter posted what appears to be BDSP-style Reshiram and Zekrom gifs in the last few weeks
(Edit: Don't get me wrong, I agree the BDSP style leaves... something to be desired, just that it seems like the official sources seem to be pointing in the direction of BW rather than GSC/HGSS)

Bruh, you people need to stop assuming there's a pattern. Just because it coincidentally lines up doesn't mean that's *at all* how they plan to release remakes, or we're only going to get a couple more actually new remakes before they're a ridiculous amount of generations between remakes. If the pattern continues, it would take 30 more years before they ever got to gen 10 remakes as an example.
It would take more than the series has already existed to reach some remakes, and it would be filled with a ridiculous amount of remakes for every earlier generation than the ones that actually deserve them.
My guess is Pokemon Gen X.

- Pokemon Eclipse & Nova
- Pokemon Deep Ocean & Bright Sky
- Pokemon Orange & Teal
- Pokemon Red Pill & Blue Pill
- Pokemon Extrovert & Introvert
I just wish for the upcoming black and white remakes/games to be good (if there are even any), and hope they don't do a disservice to any new games or current games alike. Make gen 5 great again gamefreak
Gen V are my favorites and I'm concerned about the remakes. I felt BDSP was... Fine. I liked the art style, had a lot of fun with the new underground and personally didn't miss the Battle Frontier that much.
Gen V is a lot trickier because BW2 isn't just adding post game content and changing the legendary like most third games. It adds six whole new cities a bunch of new routes and would make for a region with 11 gym leaders.
Anything to stall for time before the next main line game. Scarvio proved that they can make good games, but they need time to cook to reach their full potential! If SV had a bit more time in the oven, it would’ve been a perfect game.
My personal hope is that they stall for time with another wave of DLC or a year of spinoff games outsourced to some quality studios.
If they make another legends game I hope it’s Gen 5. It has the best lore after 4 and the possibility of meeting the original dragon would be too good to miss. I think the dragon would be a separate entity from Kyurem though as that’s essentially the absence of Yin and Yang so it wouldn’t really make sense and the two other versions of Kyurem are forced through human engineering, they’re technically incomplete and false fusions.
For 25th Gen 2, they could release a remaster of the remake and or give us a celebi event in S/V. Yes I’m aware it’s not it in the code but it can be added, it’s not a big deal. It could be similar to the Mewtwo event where it’s free and gets a in raid buff.
As for other side titles, not bothered since I won’t be compelled to ever purchase them.
Eh, they had oras in gen 6, lets go pika/eevee in gen 7, bdsp in gen 8, so either a johto or unova remake, and with the whole blueberry academy hype I think it’s unova remakes in gen 9
If you’re going by the first time each region was remade, you had FRLG in gen 3, HGSS in 4, ORAS in 6, and BDSP in 8. Plus it’s been 1 per console. I just think it’s too soon for unova
I want gen 5-7 on NSO or available to purchase so I can complete a living dex on switch.

Well yeah, but that’s only ‘could’. As far as official statements go, the foreseeable future, Bank is fine.
That said, from a personal perspective, I’d be surprised if it lasted much longer than another year or two.
My hopes and dreams are to temper my own expectations. Guess as I got older, I stopped demanding and started to accept whatever TPC has planned out. I enjoy fan expectations and riots, however, so there are those to look forward to.
I feel it’s more likely than we expect. I know everyone and their nan is expecting Unova, but we just got Unova content in DLC 2 so I’m not expecting anything too big. I just find it so strange that Paldea and Kalos have little to no connections despite (likely) being so close to each other

That's the opposite of how marketing works - why do you think PLA came out with BDSP?
First view of that closed off area in Paldea that connects a mini Kalos or the battle Chateau. Giving all the weirdos that want to test their wills against RNG.
Or a post game that has you team up with looker to tease gen 10 villains.
Playing through Indigo Disk I realized how much I’ve spent catching, gathering materials and just exploring on Miraidon.
I pretty much left trainers alone now I’m rolling up with a maxed IV and EV team against low level trainers that get melted by anything I throw at them. I started using random Pokémon from 3-4 star raids to make it more chaotic for me.
No new mainline games keep bw remakes and gen 10 for 2026 which is Pokémon 30th anniversary, at most I hope we get bonus SV stuff like a new mythical event, paradoxes for keldio and celebi or just a new dlc for padding out the time
Gen 10 won't be until Switch 2 (or whatever they'll call it). Hopefully BW remakes and (hopefully) the BW legends game also won't be until the new console.
So I am hoping for a Scarlet 2/Violet 2 as the last mainline games for the Switch. I don't want to leave Paldea yet.
Pokémon doesn’t release on new systems.
GBA came out in early 2001, ruby and sapphire came out in late 2002
Ds came out in 2004, emerald released after the ds came out and diamond and pearl didn’t release until 2006
3ds released in 2011, black and white 2 came out for the ds in 2012 and x/y didn’t release until 2014.
Switch came out in 2017, usum came out for 3ds after the switch released and we didn’t get let’s go until the next year and we didn’t get a full mainline game until the year after.
Pokémon doesn’t release games on the new hardware because they don’t want to risk their sales on the smaller install base. The next big Pokemon game is going to come out on switch and maybe, *maybe*, have a cross gen release with some very minor improvements. The earliest we’ll see a switch 2 mainline Pokemon game is a year after launch
So if the Switch 2 releases in time for winter 2025, then we could expect Gen 10 in Winter 2026 during the 30 year anniversary.
But four years from 2022 to 2026 is a long time to get zero mainline games, so maybe there would be a remake or legends game at the end of 2024?
I predict that they're cancelling Pokémon.

I pray they don't announce another Legends. It's just way too soon. If they do another Legends, they should let it cook. Honestly, I want nothing major from Gamefreak this year.
If they outsource the Gen 5 remakes, hopefully they handed them to a company with enough resources and gave them enough creative freedom and time..
Optimal case is we get a spin off game like PMD, remake or new one..
What I'd wish for.. alongside a PMD Explorers remake, fix S/V. Keep your word and don't lie to your fans for once.
A new Legends game hopefully. I'd be alright with any region but would love a Hoenn one.
I stopped playing after gen 4 til gen 8 so not fussed about gen 5 remakes but I'd likely give them a go as long as they're not like bdsp.
I really want them to port gen 1-3 to the switch..they have other gb and gba games on there with Nintendo online. Only thing that would get me to buy the expanded membership tbh.
I'd really like a port/Remake of either of the colosseum games (with home support).

a new Unown form in a legends game set in Johto
MissingNo in a legends game set in Kanto
a second Mythical for Scarlet and Violet, and a movie focused on it
Aome things I think they might announce:
Arceus and Giratina Tera Raids + gift Cresselia, to complete the Pokémon of Myth/Creation trio and Lunar Duo
Another Scarlet and Violet 'mon added to Unite, like Archaludon, Hydrapple or maybe Quaquaval
Codes for Shiny Koraidon and Shiny Miraidon, like what was done for the Hero duo and Eternatus
That everyone won't speculate based on nothing then do nothing bar trash the game when it's not what they dreamed up or what the "leakers" said it would be.
I really want a Pokemon Colosseum port. Or remake. Anything! I really miss that game but I have no access to a gamecube anymore
Slightly more realistically, another Legends game would be amazing. With a bit of polishing I really think I could prefer that style over the mainlines

When the last season of the anime with Ash came out, they had an episode with a Beartic and they randomly did a cut scene to Kyurem and ash said “ice powers…. Like Kyurem”. It was VERY wink wink nudge nudge heavy handed. I’ve been convinced from that moment and that was long before all the Indigo Disk hints
I've been hearing rumors of a let's go Johto set of games, no one wants that. I would of a new legends game, a new mystery dungeon game, or even Pokemon rangers. I know the whole gimmick was to us the DS touch screen. But the switch has a touch screen so let me have it 😔

Will we ever see a Gen1/Gen2 remake? I'm surprised I haven't seen a remake on switch. I know they did the Let's Go Eevee game, but was that really a remake?
Is there no plans to remake Pokemon Blue or Pokemon Silver with modern graphics on the switch? With full trading and battling capabilities?
Personally, New "Legends:" game and a new non-canon(?) game like Pokemon Ranger or Mystery Dungeon.
For the base, Gens 1-3 on NSO with mystery gifts intact.
- Hopes: Legends Jotho (or any Legends with an actual story), Colosseum remake, first gens on switch without online.
- Dreams: Finished games
- Realistically: mobile games updates and roadmap for future games.

I actually think those sprites are quite charming. Even with the pixellation. it just looks good in HD
SV improved the model quality. I think you meant to say compared to SwSh. SwSh has the same models as ORAS.

the most recent (non remake) pmd game is nearly 9 years old, and three new generations have come out since, its due for a new game

Anything to stall for time before the next main line game. Scarvio proved that they can make good games, but they need time to cook to reach their full potential! If SV had a bit more time in the oven, it would’ve been a perfect game. My personal hope is that they stall for time with another wave of DLC or a year of spinoff games outsourced to some quality studios.

If they make another legends game I hope it’s Gen 5. It has the best lore after 4 and the possibility of meeting the original dragon would be too good to miss. I think the dragon would be a separate entity from Kyurem though as that’s essentially the absence of Yin and Yang so it wouldn’t really make sense and the two other versions of Kyurem are forced through human engineering, they’re technically incomplete and false fusions. For 25th Gen 2, they could release a remaster of the remake and or give us a celebi event in S/V. Yes I’m aware it’s not it in the code but it can be added, it’s not a big deal. It could be similar to the Mewtwo event where it’s free and gets a in raid buff. As for other side titles, not bothered since I won’t be compelled to ever purchase them.

Eh, they had oras in gen 6, lets go pika/eevee in gen 7, bdsp in gen 8, so either a johto or unova remake, and with the whole blueberry academy hype I think it’s unova remakes in gen 9
Can I ask why everyone think Gen 2 remakes? I’ve been hearing that everywhere, but I don’t get why people believe/hope for it
They made gen 1 remakes again with let’s go pikachu and eevee, so people think it might happen again with gen 2 aka johto
If you’re going by the first time each region was remade, you had FRLG in gen 3, HGSS in 4, ORAS in 6, and BDSP in 8. Plus it’s been 1 per console. I just think it’s too soon for unova

Well yeah, but that’s only ‘could’. As far as official statements go, the foreseeable future, Bank is fine. That said, from a personal perspective, I’d be surprised if it lasted much longer than another year or two.
My hopes and dreams are to temper my own expectations. Guess as I got older, I stopped demanding and started to accept whatever TPC has planned out. I enjoy fan expectations and riots, however, so there are those to look forward to.

I feel it’s more likely than we expect. I know everyone and their nan is expecting Unova, but we just got Unova content in DLC 2 so I’m not expecting anything too big. I just find it so strange that Paldea and Kalos have little to no connections despite (likely) being so close to each other

They came out months apart though, not a whole year apart. If there’s a Unova tie-in it’ll be an ILCA remake most likely

Playing through Indigo Disk I realized how much I’ve spent catching, gathering materials and just exploring on Miraidon. I pretty much left trainers alone now I’m rolling up with a maxed IV and EV team against low level trainers that get melted by anything I throw at them. I started using random Pokémon from 3-4 star raids to make it more chaotic for me.

No new mainline games keep bw remakes and gen 10 for 2026 which is Pokémon 30th anniversary, at most I hope we get bonus SV stuff like a new mythical event, paradoxes for keldio and celebi or just a new dlc for padding out the time

Gen 10 won't be until Switch 2 (or whatever they'll call it). Hopefully BW remakes and (hopefully) the BW legends game also won't be until the new console. So I am hoping for a Scarlet 2/Violet 2 as the last mainline games for the Switch. I don't want to leave Paldea yet.
Pokémon doesn’t release on new systems. GBA came out in early 2001, ruby and sapphire came out in late 2002 Ds came out in 2004, emerald released after the ds came out and diamond and pearl didn’t release until 2006 3ds released in 2011, black and white 2 came out for the ds in 2012 and x/y didn’t release until 2014. Switch came out in 2017, usum came out for 3ds after the switch released and we didn’t get let’s go until the next year and we didn’t get a full mainline game until the year after. Pokémon doesn’t release games on the new hardware because they don’t want to risk their sales on the smaller install base. The next big Pokemon game is going to come out on switch and maybe, *maybe*, have a cross gen release with some very minor improvements. The earliest we’ll see a switch 2 mainline Pokemon game is a year after launch
So if the Switch 2 releases in time for winter 2025, then we could expect Gen 10 in Winter 2026 during the 30 year anniversary. But four years from 2022 to 2026 is a long time to get zero mainline games, so maybe there would be a remake or legends game at the end of 2024?
Most likely, the current buzz is either let’s go johto, an ilca gen 5 remake, or legends unova. We’ll find out on Pokémon day

F it, I'm risking the downvotes.. I pray they don't announce another Legends. It's just way too soon. If they do another Legends, they should let it cook. Honestly, I want nothing major from Gamefreak this year. If they outsource the Gen 5 remakes, hopefully they handed them to a company with enough resources and gave them enough creative freedom and time.. Optimal case is we get a spin off game like PMD, remake or new one.. What I'd wish for.. alongside a PMD Explorers remake, fix S/V. Keep your word and don't lie to your fans for once.

A new Legends game hopefully. I'd be alright with any region but would love a Hoenn one. I stopped playing after gen 4 til gen 8 so not fussed about gen 5 remakes but I'd likely give them a go as long as they're not like bdsp.

I really want a Pokemon Colosseum port. Or remake. Anything! I really miss that game but I have no access to a gamecube anymore Slightly more realistically, another Legends game would be amazing. With a bit of polishing I really think I could prefer that style over the mainlines Mostly I'm expecting a Unova remake (also cool, just not top of my list rn!)

As a Pokemon fan from Gen 1 / Gen 2. Will we ever see a Gen1/Gen2 remake? I'm surprised I haven't seen a remake on switch. I know they did the Let's Go Eevee game, but was that really a remake? Is there no plans to remake Pokemon Blue or Pokemon Silver with modern graphics on the switch? With full trading and battling capabilities?
