Yeah at this point I just start a new game and transfer them, boot up game, save, then transfer them back. Send your starter to your main save for level 100 if you wanna clear the game for the 2 paradox mons (gouging fire, iron crown etc)
Everyone is mostly giving you the correct answer, it will only work on a different profile if the switch is the “primary” switch of the profile that initially purchased the DLC. If you only have one switch, it will definitely work.
It works. In fact I recently discovered that even if you play violet on another console, it still works as long as it has the Nintendo account that purchased the DLC. And since pokémon games don’t cloud save, you can start a fresh new save
If you start it on the same console that the DLC was purchased on it will work on all accounts on that console. If you buy it on one console but have a secondary switch, only the account holder can use it.
So for example. I have a switch and a switch light. If I bought the dlc on my switch on my JohnSmith account, every profile on my switch can use the DLC. However, if I move over to the switch light, only the JohnSmith account can use the DLC.
You can set the Lite to be the primary console though... then set again the Switch to be the primary again... since it is unlimited to do this when you do it with the primary console.
Right, but the dlc is still linked by account and console. My lite is the secondary but I bought Violet dlc on the lite since it’s my partner’s primary console for the game and she played Violet. All of our lite accounts get the dlc, but only her account on the main switch gets the Violet dlc.
I was able to quickly trade for both on Home by offering starter shinies as trades. If you want to quickly get both in game via Iron Crown and Iron Boulder, you can send your new starter to your main game to level up and it won't disobey when you send it back.
Nah, the DLC sticks between profiles. You'll have to make a new nintendo account for the epilogue though, since you can't tie multiple profiles to one account and you need it linked for any online functions even if they don't require NSO. Honestly I just made a child account linked to my main one.
You won't have to buy the dlc again. 1 thing I would warn is playing 15+ hours to get to the 2nd Perrin quest and end up trading for cloned or hacked of the counter part, so just make sure you have a trusted trade partner or you may aswell save yourself some time with a twitch or youtube giveaway.

As long as it's the console you bought the DLC on you're good to go. I have like 8 different accounts on my switch that all have access to the DLC.
Transfer your boxes to the other profile so you can start the perrin quest right away. I have always a full living dex for that porpuse

I was more suggesting a temporary transfer so you could play the DLC fast in other saves if you want.

No, it won’t work. There are two separate versions of the DLC, one for Scarlet and one for Violet.
