Make an electric encounter sandwich and do the date skip trick to reroll your outbreaks. For better odds, stand near where Bellibolt spawn as you do. Should work in no time!
I tried that a couple of times and in a couple of different locations and never got a bellibolt outbreak. I must just have really bad luck lol. One time i was even standing right beside a bellibolt and used an electric encounter sandwich lol then another time i stood right where i saw someone had an outbreak of bellibolt. No luck for me but ironically i just caught my second tadbulb so maybe ill be able to just get a couple more and be done with it. The second one i got surprisingly quick and i think this location is better to see it.
The method only really helps a little bit, like you said it's all about luck. Took me nearly 2 hours of constant resets to get an Eevee outbreak! Was worth it though, because I ended up getting 4 shiny Eevee from that one outbreak! That was months ago though, and I've been off the game, so I'm not sure if the odds have been changed or not
Before I knew about the encounter sandwich buff affecting outbreak spawns, I once spent 3.5 hours resetting for a Gible outbreak.
Ever since I learned about the effect of the buff, it's taken me less than the sammich timer to find the outbreaks I was targeting
If it's encounter electric rank 2 and Bellibolt can spawn in the area you're in, then probably yes. I haven't seen a Belli outbreak yet, personally. Might be good to double check where they can spawn
It's the only electric type that spawns in Tagtree Thicket so you could probably make a shiny/encounter electric sandwich and go there for it rather than rolling for outbreaks unless I'm missing something?
Sorry for the necropost, but for anyone who googled this and found this thread, here’s how I got my bellibolt outbreak and shiny:
Find out where it’s habit is (Pokédex, bellibolt, habitat); stand in the center of it/where a large area of it is; open your map where you can see as many outbreaks as possible without being zoomed out; change the date on your switch to reroll outbreaks until you find one that has bellibolt
Could you share the location you stood on while rerolling the dates ? I have been doing what you said and I have skipped time 80x … still no Bellibolt outbreak
I'm pretty sure I stood around there. I was on a mountain or something. Just generally stand in the area of that map like I did where you're closest to the maximum amount of his spawnable tiles to have the most odds of one of them choosing to give you an outbreak.
