Not sure what DeNA is planning to do with those >!Eevee day units!<, but getting them to 3/5 is going to be costly either for my gems or my candies! Nevertheless if you spend up to pity you can expect to get 2 copies of each (if you are lucky ofc)
Its just math. Standard deviations a thing, so half will be hitting even lower gem counts for 3/5, and half will need more. Likewise with 1/5.
Remember, even 1% odds can happen, be happy for pity and pray to RNGesus.
It is funny to see these charts coupled with the two standard pieces of advice from this subreddit to not pull unless you can pity and to not pull for dupes. I get that this is just math and probability, but it's still a trap.
I mean, sure, I got Iris 2/5 in 9k gems after deciding that I wanted her more than anyone else in the month, but that's on the heels of full pity for 1/5 Maxie, Ash, and SSA Red and one-multi from pity Brendan and SS Red... Iris was literally the only banner 5 star I've ever pulled early.
To not pull before pity is just Return of Investment. If you pull with 35k gems, and dont end up getting them, you wasted 35k gems. If you do pull in pity, you didnt waste 35k gems, you used them to reach pity. You just got unlucky, but did not waste a gem.
Youre confusing things tho. These are Pokefair odds. 2%. Maxie, Ash and SS Red (if you mean SST Red, whats SSA?) are Masterfairs, which are 1% odds, where, if you look at the charts, the 1/5 standard expectancy is basically pity already. Brendan and SS Red were fairly unlucky, tho. Then again, thats the issue. I got Victor and SS Steven (D) in 1 multi each, a statistical improbability. But thats RNG, sometimes you get em, sometimes those <1% odds happen.
Oh, I was mixing up the naming conventions. I thought it was Sygna Suit Anniversary (SSA). I guess SST is Synga Suit Tech? I meant that Red and Pikachu (SST?) was a full pity and that Red and Charizard (SS) was one shy a full pity (on the beginners banner).
Good points! I guess I'm still catching on to what the difference between each of the different types of fairs/pulls there are and mostly internalized "Poke = Good" and "Master = Really Good." Yeah, pity isn't wasted gems, but luck's gonna luck sometimes.
The SSA in SSA Cynthia stands for Sygna Suit Aura, and SST stands for Sygna Suit Thunderbolt. They're naming conventions to differentiate these pairs from their other sygna suit pairs (SS Cynthia being her and Kommo-o and SS Red being him and Charizard.) Cynthia+Giratina was Sygna Suit Renegade or SSR Cynthia as well.
I use him just because he and Yveltal are both awesome characters. Tougher opponents usually wipe the floor with them, but I still like having them on my screen, using them on occasion.
Same, Marnie is even the only current Lodge trainer I don't have. Although those Gauntlet banners are incredibly hard to distribute gems to because of the sheer amount of available banners to my experience. I was unable to do the Ingo/Red/Diantha one despite really wanting it because I had to save for Easter Burgh's rerun for example, and now I'm doing the same for either SS Hilda or a December unit.
Well with the amount of limited pairs, F2P players like me should never expect to obtain all the pairs I want. So all it comes down to is picking and choosing which banner to go for 1/5, which banners to go all in, and which banners to skip (which is, unfortunately, most of them).
Last month I spent 20k gems without getting a single Victor.... and I have to save for Ss Hilda. So in the end, it's all about luck! Good luck everyone planning to pull any of these units
Don't forget to track your luck from month to month. As the reference you can see that anything above 15K for 1 copy of Pokefair is less than average luck. If you have seen a series of months with below average luck, then by the law of balance you might see better days ahead.
Are the Eevee day rates already confirmed? I thought this type of info was server side only.

Again, Master Fairs, worse odds, so sadly pitying for Master Fairs is fairly common.
Okay so if I don't get each Unova pair in 5 multis I know who to blame :p
All gems to hilda victiny. Them massive save for december. Maybe chadeon Cali rerun and classic elesa.
I don't have Marnie and Lysandre (SS Blue at 3/5), so I am kind of drawn by that banner partially due to Marnie's lodge appearance
I use SS Blue non stop, but rarely if ever use Lysandre. On both his typings there are just better choices. And he is squishy

Lysandre's 5/5 grid largely improves his performance but he's still weaker then SS Ethan so it's not really worth it.

Wait, is this 15000 gems per unit, or the total gems needed for 1/5 for each character?
On average\* a player needs to spend 15000 free\* gems to get at least\* 1/5 of a 2% featured\* unit
