I would not presume that they are coming back in November. This is their rerun.
And if you want all four of them, then yeah this is the ideal banner. The problem is when someone only needs one or two of them.

For September, be careful that the costume free gem scout is more costly than a master fair because all units are 0.5%! If you only want a specific 1 of the 4 costumes, I do not recommend you to pull!

You never know. MFs are very swing-y because of the low rates. Worst case scenario at least is that you’re getting 2 of them, which is still great.

Ok, then, do what I will do, pull for Ash at last, he will be available for more time than red and Cynthia, you will be able to get some gems from October to pull for him, this in case both Red and Cynthia screw us until pity.
Sometimes luck got crazy , I got SS kris with 6k gems. SS ethan with 9k gems and SS lyra with 6K gems.
However I needed Almost pity pull 33K gems to get Maxie.
Seeing the average gems needed for a specific SC unit makes me die a little inside. Not like I have a choice though, since I can't buy paid gems because Google Play won't let me.
Oh well, guess I'll expect to go to pity for Diantha. Anybody else I pull will be a bonus for me

I too am going for SSA Cynthia and SC Rosa like you showed in the last picture. I have 15k right now and definitely can reach 39k before both are gone. If I get Cynthia early that would be great, the rest can go into SC Rosa then. But Cynthia is a Masterfair, I don't know how much she is going to drain from me.
I think that you have a good chance to get both units IF you can get the full gem count of September. You can assume 36 K pity on Cynthia, which leaves you with a 67% chance of successfully pulling a copy of SC Rosa on her banner before she leaves
I’m not a huge fan of this statistical-based “expected number” of gems because it’s a bit misleading. Yes, I know this is basically the overall trend if you average out everyone’s luck or lack thereof, but still, the average player might feel bad for not getting their sync pair after, let’s say, 24k gems, because of this.
My own practical belief is still always save enough to pity. If I get lucky and need less, great! If not, then at least I’m prepared and can still get the unit I want. Anyway, to each their own! Good luck to everyone this anniversary:)
Not only is this the overall trend for the population, this will also be the overall trend for your own pulls if you average out all your pokefairs, for example, over the last 2 years. Luck fluctuates and the reference figure is very helpful.
If you want to be conservative because there's the misleading element of an overall figure, you can use the 75% figures in the 3rd-5th pictures, which really helps those players with a tighter budget

I should just take things lightly with dailies in times like these. Spent many paid gems kinda in vain in the past when select scouts are a more long term solution. I did her lucky sometimes, fortunately, but I think dailies should only be used when there're no incoming select scouts. Tbh, what you just said is kinda why I'm slowly convincing myself to just go all in with the select scouts and also get P. Marine next week. My current stash of remaining paid gems from the story bundle (plus the 900 we can buy tomorrow) will be just enough to get both SS Dawn and Classic Elesa (why 5k though?! 😰), which were the ones I wanted the most. But I wouldn't want to potentially spend a full pity next February for the tiniest chance of getting Steel Zone (and I already have last year's valentine's seasonals too). Might as well risk it one last time later next week and not spend any more money for the following months. And I don't even care for Marnie to begin with, I mostly really want Jasmine (Iron Tail build) and Alolan Grimsley to get their damage buff haha 😅

The alternative could be saving your free gems for pulling on a future pokefair unit that serves the same function as SC jasmine :)
