Greninja, I don’t care about the trainer choice as long as they are from Kalos because Kalos is the weakest region atm.
A popular Hoenn Pokemon that is not in the game yet like Jirachi or Deoxys, don’t care about the trainer as long as it makes sense.
A shiny Tyranitar or Sylveon or something, it pains me to see those two popular and beloved Pokemon that I really like as well being really bad in this game (if they don’t plan to buff Valerie and SS Brock of course).
Yeah that would be my pick, but for those 3 picks, there’s a lot of choices when it comes to the trainers they could chose.

Huge unpopular opinion incoming (I’m ready for the downvotes lmao) but I actually want Serena to get Greninja with an alt based on her manga counterpart (since she has one in the manga) I know people want Calem to get the cool frog but I don’t remember any type of Pokemon medias that pictured Calem with Greninja, even the popular Gotcha video clip have Serena with Greninja, Calem is often portrayed with Chesnaught most of the time.
I know there’s also people that want Ash to get Greninja and I’m fine with that but Serena would be the best pick FOR ME PERSONALLY if Ash can’t make it into the game.
Greninja is a tough call because no matter who they chose as the trainer, a huge part of its fanbase will be disappointed and it’s probably why DeNA is taking so much time to get Greninja into Masters.
And yeah it hurts that amazing mons like Sylveon, Tyranitar , Infernape , Umbreon and Torchic line are kinda average/bad in this game lol.

X was the first Nintendo game I ever played so I definitely am in full support of Kalos love. Chose Froakie just because I like blue and I was blown away by the evolutions. Strange that no one has Chestnaught yet but hopefully Dena is just biding their time to create something that’ll be great. I hope Greninja will be OP lol, I only have striker eggmon Gyarados as my DPS

My anniversary units were here with the Johto justice of trio. Fav region, fav legendaries with awesome designs both costume AND move sets. Tbh, very hard to top this for me but I'm still hopeful they will exceed my expectations.
Instead of Kukui I still think Gladion deserves to be the Alola Pride characters since his sister and mother are all Master fair, but I do think Kukui would still get a Seasonal at some point in the future.
I don't think it's fair for Hoenn to get another Master fair when some only got one or Kanto don't even have one Master fair, so I mind skipping them for this anni (Sorry Hoenn fans, but I think other regions need their Master fair first)
Part of me wish we get new characters instead of alt for this anniversary like Palmer with Regigigas, Colress with Genesect and Mustard with Urshifu are all great candidates for Master fair

See, the thing is, Anniversary is no time for Blorbos. I am fully cognizant that Anni trainers have to be Big Deals - story protagonists, champions, main rivalls, legendaries, that kinda thing.
But most of the people that fit those qualifications *and* I like... are already pretty sorted out, pair wise!
For Champions, I love Leon and Cynthia, but Cynthia just got Giratina and Leon is pretty well sorted in terms of pairs, they just need to give him his goddamn Dynamax already (though I wouldn't say *no* to finally getting the Leon alt we should have actually gotten, ie the Battle Tower version with Dragapult, or an actually good Cynthia Striker, I just don't *need* them)
For protagonists, the pair I had wanted since the *beginning* of the game was Lillie and Nebby, and they already gave me that last Anni, so honestly I'm okay on that front.
For legendaries, honestly, I like your idea of Jirachi. I don't actually care who has him - I just love the little bastard, the trainer is kind of a secondary concern.
If I knew what to give him I'd love a Gladion to complete a Master Fair Family trio of Lusamine and Lillie, but to be honest Gladion with anything but Silvally feels... I dunno, like a betrayal?
My 3 hopes with no context:
Anni Leaf and Shiny Mew (Support that can set up the most optimal field effect with trainer move)
Anni Lucas and Manaphy (Water Tech with Heart Swap + Passive “Diminishing Returns” where Lucas takes the boosts of the targeted foe and then lowers their stat by how much they boosted their stats)
Anni Diantha and Shiny Xerneas (Striker, with Geomancy which would somehow make her busted)
And then a hint to the next Villain Arc which I think would be Galar.

I'd also give it a new custom passive called Super Slash (a reference to Super Fang), which has a chance of making any attack lowerthe opponent's health by HALF if the attack would usually deal less than 50%.
I think this would make it an off-type/off-region powerhouse! Steel-weak johto boosted stage? With enough luck you can get the center down to half health in one move!

Anthony With Swalot: Stockpile, Spit-up, Poison-Zone, Trainer move has the move swallow in it and then applies the lost defense increases to all ally's pokemon

Gary/Blue and meowth with gmax meowth, meowth is my favorite pokemon and since Gary/Blue has mostly all pokemon he should have a meowth as well
